That's awesome except for the missles not being able to be stored within the leg.

I hope so, it justifies the cost. The sad thing is, the Tamashii page for the 19S, last time I read it on Friday, made no mention of the landing gear and stand being included. Even sadder is that it appears that the landing gear do not exactly attach; the 19S looks like it just rests on the gear like on the Fire Valkyrie stand. I'm crossing my fingers and hope that the stand/gear come with the 19S, and that the gears actually attach via magnets but I doubt it. So far, there are no attachment points shown on the 19S in the official imagery. I would still buy it since the 19S is one of my fav valk designs, but this is disappointing. It's weird though. The 1/100 plamo was able to have retractable landing gear which quite possibly did not interfere with articulation at all for the major joints. Wish that was done here.

My reasoning is that the 19S is more popular, whereas the 19F's are flown by Docker's lackies. Docker not only has the more popular model but his 19 the S style head reminiscent of the VF-1S, which irregardless of which VF is typically popular with the masses.

Hard to say if it's a reissue. Did it have clear plastic on the edges of the tail fins and do the ankles lock into place? I've heard that the reissues are tight all around.
-
Where and when did you order it?
-
My gut feeling is that the VF-19F will be a Tamashii web exclusive.
-
Same here, this has happened before with me, but rarely, I think the last time was when I ordered some Robot Damashiis during one of their sales.

It's the only VF-1D in the orange color scheme with Hikaru and Minmay that is perfect variable. I say it's worth it even at full price.

Not to mention the kick ass voyager Megatron from ROTF and the Fallen will have a good Prime to fight against that's almost the same size! That's the main reason I want it, I dig that this one has 2 guns and a matrix right off the bat too! -
Variable Fighter Master File VF-19 Excalibur
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to nexxstrait's topic in Movies and TV Series
So in conclusion what makes the most logical sense is that the VF-19S Blazer as the highest thrust output therefore better performance than the VF-19F and the thrust compensates for the increased weight. The debate has been to determine whether this is true or not, correct? -

Sorry for asking this but do you mean that the F/S have better aerodynamic controls than the A's or is it the other way around? -
Variable Fighter Master File VF-19 Excalibur

So just out of curiousity, is it entirely possible that the VF-19F/S models with the redesigned wings can maneuver better in the atmosphere compared to the VF-19A-E models? Just wondering, as it would make sense for the S to have the same wings as the F if that were the case. When I was younger I used to like the VF-19A/YF-19 wings/canards much better than the F/S but as I grew older, the F/S designs grew on me. They remind me a lot of the YF-23. -
The main reason I like the battroid on the transforming revalkyrie is because the silhouette reminds me so much of the VF-2SS.

Kaiyodo Revoltech 2G Thread
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to IXTL's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I got my Sengoku Basara Yukimura and Date figures in and they are GREAT! These are the 1st figures I have from the bigger box Yamaguchi Collection. I'm pleased. Joints work fine on each figure, articulation is excellent, and these are bigger figures than I'm used to; my older Revoltechs are significantly smaller. -
Variable Fighter Master File VF-19 Excalibur
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to nexxstrait's topic in Movies and TV Series
Thanks for the explanation David, that elaborated a lot and cleared up a lot of stuff for me. I just got my copy today, it is an EXCELLENT book. Love the line art and details. Funny thing is, most of the VF-19F line art features the longer wings. Aren't the shorter wings shown in the anime more? Also the 1/100 model and upcoming VF HI METAL Blazer Valkyries use the shorter wings IIRC. The Skull 1 VF-19A was cool to see too. Seems to me that the authors LOVE the VF-19F because it's seen more than the S and other models. The VF-11 with FSW wings was cool to see too. I'd like to see the VFA-19A Assault Excalibur in battroid mode. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but is the following info correct?: VF-19A has faster roll rate than the VF-19F/S models unless the latter have more vernier thrusters in specific locations VF-199F/S however, have the highest thrust output and thrust to weight ratios Verniers aft of canopy on VF-19F/S can help not only in space but the atmosphere -
It's a shame we didn't at least get a Strike Valkyrie out of the Origin of Valkyrie line. It was cool to see a Max Super 1A, but honestly I think it would have been better to release a Strike and THEN the Super Hikaru/Max afterwards. Ah well. 30th Anniversary is in 2 years. Maybe(hopefully) we'll see a Strike reissue then.

You can shave them down with a metal file I think. M0nSt3r posted something about how to do so a few months back.

Variable Fighter Master File VF-19 Excalibur
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to nexxstrait's topic in Movies and TV Series
This is going to sound very noobish of me, but what is a moment arm? -
Pics man! I initially thought the bundle 1J would be molded in gray. If not, that's cool, I'll just buy the armor separately.
-
That is true but it's usually on releases that had the knurled pins. So far I don't recall anyone who owned a V2 1/60 VF-1 with smooth pins reporting a breakage.

Something tells me Kawamori wasn't very hands on with these Master Files books; they seem more like doujin made by dedicated fans as opposed to an official book with canonical statistics. Perhaps he knew that these were being made and just looked for inaccuracies with regards to the illustrations and renders as opposed to the statistical data. Bear in mind this in no way makes these books less awesome to me in any way, I LOVE these kinds of books, canonical or not. They are awesome. Great to read for pure enjoyment and very helpful for reference. My opinion on the F/S engines is that the data was switched and that the S model has the higher output. I don't see a reason for the F model to have higher output. Also, I take it from the posts today that the canards/longer wings on the VF-19A/Kai/P don't make much of a difference compared to a VF-19F/S in the atmosphere? -
Hmmm..Bandai America is making the line...so I'm thinking we'll get toys like Ben 10, that kind of thing. They aren't known for making toys that appeal to guys like us. Now if Bandai Japan engineered and made the line with Bandai America distributing it, THEN that's another story but yeah I doubt we are going to get anything that appeals to us.
