nope not 9. sustained 12 could kill a pilot. 40gs is what navy pilots are subjected to in catapults but they survive since its only for a few seconds. flanker is ratedd over 12gs in terms of airframe structure durability last i heard.

hmm i guess the best way to fight it is energy zoom and climb as well as split S like hell. Faster reversing direction that way rather than full zone 5 bat turning. No wonder they said ud get torn upm in fleet defender if you fought a bunch of those. Like I always here to NEVER pop the boards in a dogfight from naval aviators. and from what I understand, in US ACM they never say to follow full burner against a flanker...straight ahead..I mean that would mean the flanker could cobra and nail you right there. I think teh best way to ffight a flanker is to follow it but not too close. Avoid any kind of scissors. minimum gun distance is still far enough to not trail a flanker too close. Key is to maintain high energy and not stray too close.

then again this is yaamto we are talking about. already they had the best loking VF-1 on market but NO they couldnt resist implementing perfect transformation..then we got 1./48 anyhoo what im tryignt o say is yamato cant escape perfect transformation. head of yamato in interview said swap legs were canon. 1 yr later BAM 1/48. canon that. yamato is known for detail unseen before in valk toys and pretty much have dominated that market. I think its safe to say a perfect variable is inevitable. I mean come on their doing well financially, macross 0 isnt even done yet, and hell this is the FIRST time yaamto has been able to make macross merchandise for a series that hasnt ENDED YET! this means when people end macross 0 and want merchandise, bam heere comes yamato. So with that in mind. I dont think yamato would miss out on this chance to milk the cow for all its worth. one fo the massesm then a big ass toy for us crazed collectors later on. and the japanese are obsessed with detail and high detail and more detail and perfect transformation. the fact that HCM pro emphasizes detail as with 1.48 and other lines like transformers binaltech SHOWS these fans are crazed for detail an d perfect transformation. so yamato NOT making one? right......

a skilled pilot wouldnt LET a mig pilot do it Besidesif they are in a high g turning fight the sukshoi wouldnt be able to pull off the cobra when puilling sustained 7g and goign 350 kt. only way it would work is if a pilot was stupid enough to rush in right away full burner too fast to turn n stuff

i think if anything starts out small and is successful enough, itll warrant a bigger version., AS long as the toy is big i dont care for scale so im with blaine on that one. I would not mind seeing ovbscure valks in ANY scale...hell make one ofscale and big and ill be happy

hhehhee yea i made a pill ona low viz VF=1D 1/48 before. I think it would be AWESOME because I LOVE 2 seater fighters (F-15E, F/A-18D marine attack, F-14, Su-30MKI, tornado) and the low viz color would make it real military looking. 2 seaters rock and so do low viz!

ok let me rephrase. I did not say the koenig would be small. I meant the potential valkyries in 1/.100 would be small and affordable compared to other yamato proeduycts....its common sense the koenig would be huge. look at it. valks to destroids in scale are small. back on topic. i hope next month we see robot moe pictures. this is a cool looking toy.

I got a couple releases of yamato valks and only 1 1.48 but i can say its thee BEST~ qwith your 19, watch out for the ugly ass inevitable paint scratches on the diecast portions of the leg...kind of bad since the wing mounts are metal and rub against the legs a lot...it doesnt help that the mounts have weak ratchets.

DOrsal fast packs come with it. Frfom what i understand this will be SIMPLE and VERY FQAST to transform. all you swap is the nose. is that 1200 yen i see the price for this?

i wonder if the russian air knights(air demo team) use the Su-37 yet. LAst i saw they were using regular flankers. Anyone seen their shows? I wonder if they pull off this stuff like pugachev does.....not only is it a deadly bird but for a big plane its manueverable AND it is very nice looking. Most russian planes look lke boxes with wings to me so this plane is very very awesome to me.

the flanker can do that WITHOUT the thrust vectoring boys. thrust vectoring just adds more punch. It is able to do this because it can do high alpha and because of its LERXes. the leading extensions near the cockpit that are also on the VF-0. the mig 29 can do it as well and its affirmed that the fulcrum was the first to pull off the cobra,,,ukhoi g3ets more credit since it populariazed it and shcoked the world in 1989 farnborough when pugachev pulled it off to the public in an Su27. it also helps that at that high of an angle of attack and slow speed, the flankers engines do NOT tend to stall and keep running. F-18s do something similar at low speed where they keep going forard with the nose tilted up at 30 degrees. I saw it at oceana before.

along with the destroid line that imode caught onto on the japanese BBS a couple months back tiying in with the VF0 also being 1/100, I feel thjat yamato is trying to make a cheap line to satisfy all of us NOT limited to macross 0! maybe this line is for the designs noone thought anyone would EVER make in this day and age, cheap to make and hey almsot all of us can afford plus keeping everything in one scale. I am guessing if one does well enough, it will make it into a bigger scale later on. so what could this mean? more stuff in 1/100 scale lke VF-4, VF-3000, anything from m3., stampeed valk, stuff like that. I think this line is for the stuff that is relatively obscure compared to the VF-1

how is that not scalping? regular msrp was what 14800 yen? and they sold it how high on ebvay? to me that is scalping its the exact same thing as buiying something limited and selling it for more than it was worth. low viz was limited and certainly "RARE" selling MPC VF-1 for 250$? yea they tried thinking pushbutton would work in vietnam and look what happeend. Crusaders forever known as the last of gunfighters and a certified ass chomping mig killer while phantoms got shot down by low tech migs.(in the beginning not later) technology should not be depended upon to defeat all threats. Yea china and n korea have sheer numbers but if anything I think india would be more of a threat. sure they are smaller foprce but they also got nukes and they seem to be able to afford more advanced soviet equipement than china.
