(novator or adder might outrange AMRAAM but I could the F-15K be more powerful and reach target sooner? ). Medium range AAM. F-16A or block 30 F-16C(whichever david qouted as the a2a optimized version) vs Su-30 MKI knife fight no HMS targetting, just heat seekers and guns. anti radar battle portion EA-6B vs F-4G wild weasel vs F-105G wild weasel vs TORnado ECR vs EA-18G Growler vs Viggen ECM which is the best for anti radar? I think growlers got best self defense and offensive capability, prowler has more crew so more reliability/effetiveness? TOrnado ECR and viggen may take it for speed. Either way I think it is an interesting discussion.

hmm. Are Du 30mm rounds good for A2A? I was just wondering because I know the A-10 kills anything on the ground with that gun and huge bullets....I was thinking...hmmm if the russian flanker and mig guns only take 7 rounds to shoot down a plane(said on discovery channel but I am still skeptical), then an A-10's gun must be like a magnum in A2A. Guys I was also wondering....was the FB-22 sans vertical stabs or did it retain it?

Hell the philippines needs at least SOMETHING modern. Those tigers sure kick ass but.....geez......nowhere near modern. A lot of me aWISHES the tigershark was made just so we could have something decent over there. Or a gripen but even that might cost too much for my corruption laden wack economy home land.

ahh.,...a pipe dream then. RIght now I am designing some planes for my comic and one of them is influenced by the F-8. It's a wild weasel however. When I took a step back and looked at it, it looked like a mesh of a F-105 and F-8 mated with a YA-7H!!! reading through those old oversize books from the 80s, I read about the F-4 with variable wings. THis one was a proposed variant with swing wings. Head on it looks like a MIG-23. From the top its like a mig 23 combined with a TU-126 and b1b lancer. SO with that.........I guess this willl be done with probability and numbers... F-4J vs F-4(VWS) "variable wing sweep" MIG-23 vs F-4 VWS F-14 vs VWS Also I know this is ever changing...but I keep hearing about eurofighter tranches and the possibility of the gun being deleted...what's up with this? and... F/A-18F vs F-15K a2a. close in knife fight. NO off boresight. Just AIM-9L/guns, no HMS, close in. F/A-18E vs F-15C. same rules as above. for kicks... F/A-18F vs MIG-29SMT a2a F/A-18F vs Su-30MKI close in. no boresight rules do NOT apply to the russian planes. and...for kicks once more.. HEy corey I know you defend a lot of robotech but man I have to agree with the others, tommy yune is not that great IMHO. BEing an illustration major here@VCU I am exposed to a lot more art than many care to think and yune, or imijai narigai or whatever the hell that fake ass neo sound like japanese pseudo name of his was, he ain't that great. I mean his drawings just lack the charisma mikimoto has. MIkimoto has a far better grasp of the human anatomy than yune does and with yune as if he is trying to draw them like mikimoto but adding his own flair to it....gone wrong. HIs art just isn't appealing and if you take away the colors from his line art, it looks weaker not strong. THat is NOT a good design element, ideally if an illustration is good it should look well as a negative but it does not. HE lacks depth as well and his drawings seem rather bland, rather than hard hitting in your face impact. PLus this photoshop colorist he uses is a bit overdone the colors really saturate the line work and its rather pointless coloring in the way they have chosen. Mikimoto on the other hand is much better and his works are truly closer to pieces of art than yune's ever will. NOw I am not flaming yune but I truly think mikimoto is far superior in every which way and his flaws are nowhere near as apparent as yune's. Yunes just doesnt work honestly...can you see those designs being animated? I sure can't because they lack consistency. I can also say the same for every robotech comic out there now aside from teh old AP ones. Seriously if somone gets a license for robotech for god's sake STUDY the damn designs and draw it right!! Ugh had enough looking at transgender robotech rip odff designs and misproportionately drawn veritechs!

it sucks that this is the Jolly rogers last cruise before they switch over to the super bug. Seriously the markings of the JR's does not look nearly as well as it did on the phantom and the tomcat. NEver thought much of the F-100 but It always seemed a lot less manueverable than the F-86. Hey I was thinking guys, is it possible to equip a GE-F110 engine to a F-8J, add a bubble cockpit, equip it with dual AMRAAM rails on each sidewinder rail, add a HUD, and a composite wing to a stock F-8J crusader? I think that would rule. BE good and perhaps cheap for export as well. I call it the "dreamsader"

oh i wouldnt want mflo or any jpop in the game whatsoever either, I just think namco is being lazy putting in puddle o mud. But as long as the in game music consists of live instrumentaion, synth, rock, electric piano and orchestral elements(AC2/4) then I will be extremely happy. Keny loggins and cheap trick would be welcome..hell more than welccome than puddle of mud in this game. BTW david and others, from whatb you all take of the demo, is the flight modeling more realistic than AFDS? I know it felt a lot heavier than AC4 but I wanted to hear you all's opinions.

It would be cool if the D could use its IRST but I doubt it will in AC5, NO the gun in A-10 in AC4 was not modeled correctly. It was just like any other gun in the game. AFDS might have modeled it correctly but I have yet to use the A-10 in that game. I also dislike how you could get teh A-10 supersonicc in AC4...hopefully it has its retribution in AC5. BTW a new commercial is suppposedly on to.

accoprding to one of the dudes@neoseeker, AC5 @ a japan psx site has NEW pics or video of a VF-103 F-14 with...... Laser Guided Bombs!! LGB'S!!!!! KNowing that the tomcat can be upgraded to B and D models, this is exciting since..... WE FINALLY GET A BOMBCAT!!!! WITH LASER GUIDED BOMBS INSTEAD OF IRON BOMBS!! HELL YES!!

technically all macross toys are japan exclusive. We get them 2nd hand through wholesalers who buy from yamato and then sell to kevin and other etailers. ( i think) either way the toys are not provided to etailer of macrossworld directly from yamato, it comes 2nd or 3rd hand. WHo knows>? I think this is mainly because irt sold real well in the japanese market to warrant another limited release of it. Regardless of the koenigand q rau coming out. They have sold more than 3 items for macross @ the same time before so this does not surprise me.

THis is potentially dissapointing news for some but over @gamefaqs, people are saying namco has a new press release stating "blurry" from ppuddle of mud is the OFFICIAL song of the game. Not sure if this will piss off anyone but it sure pisses me off. \OH well, as long as most of the soundtrack resembles the good songs from AC2/4 I will be alright. WEll the 1S SHOULD be vastly improved over the other variants becayuse... 1-it's reserved for squad leaders. 2-it is made in far less quantity than the others. if it was just a cosmetic change I doubt it would be commissioned over to squad leaders. It cwould be flown by just about anyone regardless if this is robotech or macross

TIme for me to chime in. OK. Why there is so many upgrades fo VF-0 if it is just a prototype? Hell who said all of it was even tested? It probably isn't!! IF my military's ass was getting slaughtered by variable fighters, you woulsdn't see me holding back some untested prototype, I'd send them into action! I prety much think they just give the UN spacy all they got because it isn't abot feasibility in macross zero, its SURVIVABILITY. And about the YF-19 being someqghat godlike and experiencing such an advancement over previous VF... OK a step into reality. BAck in the 1950/60's there was a missle called the sparrow. SEmi active radar homing. meaning the plane's radar had to be locked onto the target the whole time in order to guide the missle. little bit afterwards, the phoenix missle was created and it ended up having more than double the range, and it was an ACTIVE radar homer, so it only needed minimal guidance and the plane can target more and shoot simultaneously and break away after a short while. THIs vast VAST improvement only took what less than 10-15 years? So a YF19 able to get into space withjout a booster (unlike the VF-1) does not surprise me. THe engines in the F-22, one of those engines has MORE thrust than 2 GE79 engines in an F-4. F-4 is just 2 generations before the F-22.

Wy SHin still thinks the YF-19FP is STILL coming out 1-MonsterII coming out next year...MUCH larger=much more financial risk/profit loss if it does not sell well(freaking huge and over 40000yen price range....so a loss for that would be HIGH) 2-MOnster took longer to develop and is much bigger not to mention costs more....which leads to... 3-since the YF19FP is much much smaller it becomes cheaper to produce and its already something that can be said is the most WANTED macross product ever within the last 3 years besides the various 1/48 variants. 4-more fans complain about the YF19FP not coming out then they do about the monster(which was forgotten for a while)
