hmmmmm not to go OT, but for the record, the Philippines has a pathetic air force and has a military that wars within itself. Not to talk down my country, but sadly it's been that way even during the Marcos presidency, even the military against him was warring within it's own ranks!! That and last I checked we only has 5 3rd hand F-5's from thailand bought on discount. I guess my country is a powerful ally in the sense of location and maybe ground troops, but really it would be better if the US still had bases there. India is funny, buying or threatening to buy american planes to block pakistan and others. lol. Why would they need a falcon though when they've got the MKI?

It would be a F-1117, and to be big enough for transformation, at least be 1/48 scale. Which is not huge but a bit bigger than a 1/48 VF-1. That would be pretty cool. If the IDF get's raptors, then I sure as hell think the Saudi's will want some too. Since the only thing they have to counter it is the F-15S, and that plane is redundant in comparison.

Imagining Hiko Kyodotai camo up F-22's and the Israelis have F-15I camo on the F-22 seems very very cool. I think it would be awesome if F-22s were sold to them.

Well with the FSX, I believe most of it was out of there hands. They did want to do a lot with it, but most of their proposed demands were shortcutted by politicians who did not want the japanese to have the transferred software technology. Their main defense is for their sea ways so I presume they just need to mod their F-15J's with ASM's. I brought up the Israeli sale simply because the US would sell more to Israel than to japan. The IDF has had more US planes than japan has.

F-35 wouldn't do much for japan. Doubt the Us would sell the F-22. Israel would be more likely. F-2 poduction is cut, not every order will be fulfilled, the JASDF is dissapointed with it and that the F-15J can do the exact same mission as the F-2. So essentially to them the F-2 is a waste of money. It WAS supposed to be some sort of japanese super falcon but politicians here prevented the software transfers which created delays, and japan had to make some software of their own. Lockheed DOES help with the plan but if anything it is only a shell of what it was originally supposed to be. Saw the FX in old jane's books. Looked interesting.

So guys. I have a craving to buy some more macross 7 valks. Their simplicity, at first a turn off, now I just want them because they have their own weird charms. I mean yamato hasn't done any macross 7 stuff do to lack of license, but bandai sure has!! So post some pics!! I findmyself craving the VF-17S and VF-19S. I know these look nowhere near as well as the 1/100 bandai models or yamato macross plus toys, but still these are fun and durable toys and I only wish I had more than just my fire valk. So post them up! We've had a yamato gallery and the reissues and stuff, but i can't remember a bandai 1/65 macross 7 gallerie. So give these 1/65 overloooked aquired taste monstrosities their due and lets relish in the nostalgia~!

I assume they swtiched priorities and milking other licenses. They milked macross for all it was worth. who knew we would see THAT many releases for the 1/60 line? Almost every variation of the VF-1 in the show aside from funky chinese, MAX/kakizaki VF-1A, and angel birds made it into the 1.60 line. Aside from the 6 macross plus releases( I included the VF19A since its just a repaint) and a bunch of other stuff. I assume the macross toys from yamato were hitting major saturation in japan to the point where yamato said"okay our job is done" and moved onto other things. They are a small company and gotta make money. I assume an SDF-1, the YF19FP and a macross zero PV series of toys will eventually come out from them. But it will take time. A time when macross basically goes dry in japan for a long ass time and nostalgia buffs start craving it again. This is essentially what happened a few years back when the macross plus license for toycom was announced and such. Yamato IMHO is pretty damn smart. They most likely outsold bandai when for over 10 years most macross fans CRAVED for the day bandai would reissue their valks. But on the day they did, it was too late since the small ass company named yamato pretty much got to the fans first with a more detailed, modernized, aesthetically pleasing product, which in japan detail and aesthetics is all the rave. BUT. Yamato stopped making macross product so as to not end up LIKE bandai. Pretty smart move on their part. I just think for now it is a waiting game. I want a VF-0 more than anything else, but it does surprise me that yamato even took obscure mecha like the koenig monster of the SDF-1. Heck they could have had 2 releases right there~~ REgular TV SDF, and ARMD armed DYRL SDF-1!!!

Very true in every sense. The YF-23 was more of a radical plane rather than the conventional F-22. Same with The technologically advanced FCLS on the YF-21 compared to the conventional FBW YF-19. Not to mention the YF-21 is derived from the YF-23. Man this makes me regret not buying the YF-21FP.

I saw the movie 2 weeks ago. It KICKED ass. Supposedly there is a sequel and another movie coming out as well. I am not sure but there is one which translates to "lemongrass soup"(I kid you not), read on a tony jaa bbs, which is due to be released in august this year in thailand. Biggest movie there since this other movie which started with an S.

HEy Toons how durable is that sucker? It looks sweet!! I want to get a perfect grade but only if it is durable enough to withstand play. How does it compare to a 1/48 durability wise? Also how long did it take to build? And can you take comparison pics with the 1.48 VF-1 and 1/60? Like height comparisons and such. Heck maybe even the MSIA or arch enemies version of the strike gundam.

We would need someone to either get a styrene or resin casting kit as well. not to mention it would take hundreds of man hours to design since it would be from scratch in some way. It's not like we are merely adding armor, we are also devising a transformation sequence. Hell if any of you do, I would LOVE to see a VF-19S. Yea short wings, but hell it looks awesome, I got used to it.

I want bandai to make a Metal Material FAST pack YF19. 1/65 scale. This sure as hell won't happen but it would so rule. ANd no not a fire valk resculpt, I mean a whole new sculpt. *wishes bandai would DO something with the license.*
