  1. VF-2SS, VF-4 & VF-0D.
  2. I hope. Honestly I'm surprised we haven't even seen a 1/72 plamo of it from Bandai by now.
  3. I like Robotadverntures because he's pretty salty and random. Vangelus is very entertaining and his special effects are good, meanwhile his reviews are very informative with good image resolution. Peaugh is very informative too. Need to see more reviews on Rodimus...
  4. Personally, I think it's a great toy but you have to give yourself time to get used to it. When I first got my Focker Special Strike Valkyrie, I thought the toy was tricky to handle, like I had to be careful when handling it. Now, not so much. I spent a lot of time analyzing it, going over what might break, what's prone to breakage, places to hold while transforming, et al. It's not that fragile you just have to be aware of which parts are prone to breaking and why. The tail fins on the leg? Never fold them before pulling them out. They have to be pulled straight out before you fold them inwards. It's a good idea to brace the shoulder hinge each time you move the shoulder, just to ease pressure on the hinge. I do this even on my newer releases, and the few older ones that I fixed. With the more recent releases, starting last year(from what I noticed), Yamato loosened up some of the tolerances in specific areas to make the toy easier to handle and transform. The initial releases were sometimes way too tight, like around the top intake peg that plugs into the bottom of the chest in fighter mode. With the recent releases, after swiveling the leg down for gerwalk, to dislatch the intake peg, you can simply move the leg inwards and the movement will dislatch the peg. On the first releases, you had to either pull straight down a few centimeters, or if you were lucky, the tolerance around the intake peg wasn't too bad, and you could just push the leg inwards to dislatch. With the missles, when removing them, always swivel them outwards before pulling them off. Didn't know this until someone pointed it out here. Not doing this may result in broken attachment holes on the wings. Overall I found the toy to be very high quality(the shoulder hinges could have been a lot better though), has high playability, is fairly durable, and feels more solid than the 1/48. However, I find the 1/48 to be much more user friendly with regards to transformation and durability. There are simply some things the 1/48 does better and vice versa, neither is perfect and neither completely outdoes the other. Ultimately, posing is more fun with the V2 1/60 VF-1 IMHO.
  5. How bad are yours?
  6. Is Mikimoto the one also drawing the VF-1's in Macross the 1st? I ask this because if so, he is doing an AWESOME job! His use of screentone is good. As far as the cockpit...I wouldn't mind if it wasn't retooled to accept the new canopy. Also, I'd think this release would be a mass one. Since our input is being taken into account, it's assuming that we would buy it, and most of us willing to buy are not willing to pay up for a proxy service to get one for us in Japan, should this turn out to be an exclusive. Unless it was a Yamato webshop exclusive that is also available via HLJ.com, like the weathered VF's, VF-1S no paint ver., et al. I hope it's a mass release. It's got a neat paint scheme and I never get tired of VF-1 toys. I've always wondered what Hikaru's VF-1J would look like in Skull Squadron and I like what I see. Should Yamato decide to make a Macross the 1st VF-1D with a new cockpit, I might buy that too. I'm quite fond of the 2 seaters and their V2 1/60 VF-1D is one of my favorite VF-1 toys.
  7. Hmm....a VF-19E in MILITARY COLORS gets more and more exciting each time I think about it. For example, what if Yamato released a VF-19E in Isamu's VF-11B colors...and made up some story like they did with the Double Nuts/BOP YF-19's. Something like: Years after the Sharon Apple Incident, Isamu flies a VF-19E in the colors of his VF-11. If anything I don't think anyone will really give a ^&* about the story, so long as the toy looks cool, and I always dug his VF-11B deco! I also think a VF-11E would KICK ASS in VF-1A CF colors, always dug that brown, especially the one used on the HCM and Yamato's V2 1/60. Hmm...once the VF-19F is released...I think a VF-19E may be inevitable actually.
  8. Hell yes I'd buy it! Neat take on Hikaru's VF-1J.
  9. I was mistaken, there are images of the VF-19E in the Master Files book, I checked yesterday. Basically the Fire Valkyrie airframe with VF-19F head.
  10. BTW folks, I forgot to add "/VF-19A" to the V2 1/60 YF-19. The VF-19A wouldn't be nothing more than a YF-19 repainted into VF-19A colors.
  11. Come to think of it...that would be pretty beast...especially with a military paint scheme.
  12. Come to think of it, I don't know if there are pics. It's the basis for the VF-19Kai Fire Valkyrie, so think Fire Valkyrie but with a gunpod in lieu of speaker pod, no mouth on battroid mode, and conventional flight controls in lieu of a guitar joystick.
  13. I haven't voted yet but might be leaning towards the ACTIVE or VF-19EF.
  14. I haven't made one of my notorious polls here for a long time, and nowhere near as much as I used to. If anything however, I felt that the time was right to gauge everyone's opinions on which 1/60 VF-19's they'd like to see the most. Repainted/retooled releases benefit Yamato, but in this case, also benefit us because it seems like most of us are Excalibur fans. Whether Yamato will be as aggressive with the YF/VF-19 releases, as they were with the V2 1/60 VF-1 line, remains to be seen, but I for one think it would be cool. With the upcoming 1/60 Fire Valkyrie, Yamato has done what they did not do before, give the Excalibur an appropriately bigger silhouette. So we get the Fire Valkyrie this year, and who knows what will be released next year for Macross 30th. Graham also stated the following: Now this isn't a thread for stating "I'd rather see something else(non-VF-19)". I don't think the new 19's are going to get in the way of us, for example, getting the VF-17. The development cycle for designing new parts for let's say, the VF-19ACTIVE might be a lot shorter than designing an all new mold, like a 1/60 VF-4. This thread is primarily about which 19's you want to see. Vote away!
  15. I don't see why they wouldn't be translucent green.
  16. Whoa, looks neat! Reminds me of an F-14 with wings fully swept forward. Looks like an intimidating fighter. VF-19ACTIVE looks great in that shot too, I'd like to see both in more military-esque paint jobs and with weapons mounted. The ACTIVE in fighter mode comes off as less super-heroic compared to it's VF-19 predecessors, at least it does to me.
  17. What do you think of it, does it look cool?
  18. Dark Of The Moon Shockwave Images
  19. Damn he just pulled another VF-0A! Wonder if the real color according to Kawamori is gloss crimson red.
  20. Rumor via Japanese hobby mags and/or BBS months back, nothing since.
  21. I HOPE the legs from the DX VF-25 are not re-used, the hips got loose on mine and the lack of thigh swivels was disappointing.
  22. Same premise with the T-10/SU-35BM lacking canards.
  23. I would think the SV-51 has the edge, it seemed like it was more manueverable and it was specifically made for air combat, whereas the VF-0 was a testbed that was quickly configured for combat. The achilles heel of the SV-51 being short range and due to that, I think, either high fuel consumption, lower fuel capacity, or possibly both. So a VF-0 pilot would probably be better off trying to force the SV-51 into a vertical energy fight to trick the SV-51 pilot into exhausting his fuel via afterburner use. Just my thoughts.
  24. Hope chances are good for the VF-19EF then, because it would require less new tooling. It's growing on me.
  25. Aside from the Yamato valk stands you could use their Mighty Block stands, but those are only preferable with the V2 1/60 VF-1's.
