  1. Cool! I got 3 vids of a RC F-14. 2 are ducted fan, one is GASOLINE powered! The gasoline bird is the biggest and loudest. Its also done in VF-103 Jolly roger markings. Each bird had swinging wings as well. You might enjoy those videos more than the one you linked. I found one@rcgroups and another at some site linked to there that sells rc jet parts. There is a VF-1 RC but it does not transform. Someone a couple years back linked it here. It was pretty nice, a japanese fan made it.
  2. Hmm I wonder what the low viz will actually look like, and if it will have new logos for the tail fin.
  3. FOREVER. Back in 2000 we all migrated here bitching about why bandai isn't reissuing shi*, and why we gotta pay up the arse on ebay for strikes. 5 years later we bitch about what ISN'T made yet and the potential of cool stuff coming out, and how we still cherish bandais. We will still be around, it didn't stop us then, and it sure as hell isn't stopping us now.
  4. comparing the 1/60 to 1/48 is like night and day. The 1/48s aren't floppy at all unlike the 1/60s. The only qc probs I heard lately with the 1/48s are misprints with tampo. You do realize this new low viz is a 1/48 right?
  5. Whoa, a white resin proto M7 firevalk and a lego VF-17!
  6. Heh. You guys are crazy. I'm thrilled theres another oppurtunity. And to be frankly honest, I DOUBT yamato, though having made some profit off the 1.48, has even made enough to cover the costs of tooling and maintaining the molds. Those things are incredibly expensive. Besides, maybe demand for the low viz in japan has been high, and perhaps the fans in japan constantly voiced their concerns to yamato or the yamato BBS. Who the hell knows? Chances are it won't be the exact same as the one that came out before. And there are a bunch of us that inadvertently missed out on the low viz in the beginning, how is a new release really such a bad thing? I bet it will be a VF-1J and look different than the existing low viz. And to all of you saying they are just milking it, why the hell not? If you spent countless thousands developing a huge ass mold for some toy that is still in demand, and theres money to be made, and demand for it, what would you do, stop production and let the molds deteriorate and gather dust? I sure wouldn't. To some who missed out, this is another oppurtunity to buy. To those who have a low viz already, its money saved for something else, no money spent. Its a win win situation for all of us in some respect. In all honesty I could care less how much the old low viz is worth, I missed out on it, and I for one am GLAD I can get one in the near future. Why? Because the damned thing looks cool. Its a good color scheme. I like militaristic looking liveries. And I will admit, while its nice to have toys to gather value, I am not that type of collector. I like playing with my toys. I find it funny already speculation that this will be an LE. The 1/48 CF wasn't an LE. Wait and see with this one. And to those who are bitching that their current MIB low viz will decrease in valuable, to be brutally honest, this new release does not surprise me at all. Yamato knew a lot of demand came for the 1st low viz right after it was announced that it would only be offered to retailers who preordered them at some show a couple years back. Then everyone went nuts trying to get some after they sold out. ya see this here? MONEY TO BE MADE. So how can you not see this coming? Look how many times Roy came out. Even Hikaru, which surprised the hell out of me. The low viz is perhaps the most demanded 1/48 I have ever heard about in my years forum browsing on macrossworld. IMHO. But yea. theres a new one, in new colors, and for those who missed out, a GREAT opportunity. Hell yea! I hope the skulls and crossbones are black on this to stand out more, and hopefully a black or grey chest stripe too. ANd I do hope it is a VF-1J.
  7. Wow hes just a few cms bigger than microman...
  8. from what people are saying ac6 will have online multiplayer on ps3. From what namco said in some pamphlet, apparently if you want a B-52 to come in and lay waste to some ground enforcements, you can call in an airstrike, and call helos to rescue downed men on the ground.
  9. Very intriguing. I hear on some forums that once built, it is very durable almost like a DX toy. Please tell us if it is in your opinion once completed! And good job so far! BTW do you think the fingers will loosen over time? I hear this happens a lot to the Non-PG 1/60 models.
  10. Its got a canopy, the canopy is just opaque from the outside, but from the inside you have near 360 vision. Its like the YF-19 cockpit in macross plus, though clearly there were no visible canopies on the bottom of the YF-19's nose, Isamu can still see stuff outside in those areas. Its like a camera system.
  11. I am not sure if anyone knows the straight answer to that. From what I heard, fans overseas would ask bandai at cons, and the reps would say that macross was not making a lot of money for them.
  12. I'd like to add. In game refuel/rearm, swappable Sp weapons, and up to 5 SP schemes per plane. acecombat.jp has the best info its been updated as well. go to ace combat zero
  13. Right now it seems decent but being that Robotech 3000 never got off the ground much, I dunno. This is BY far a ton farther than robotech 3000 got, and already looks like it is way better than sentinels(then again sentinels was horrible so....anything probably is better...haha). Eh well for their sake I hope it turns out at least decent. Maybe it will turn out good. If it turns the msrp of the MPC's down then bravo!
  14. It was definitely down man. I really hope hobby dengeki takes a photo of this next to a 1/48 VF-1 in all 3 modes, I want to see how much bigger this beaut is.
  15. i am pretty sure back when we were paying up the ass for vintage bandai's and takatokus 6 years ago collectability didn't matter to us. We wanted bandai to reissue stuff but that did not happen till years later. Sure for some who had MIB valks it did matter but for those who wanted a valk to play with in good condition and the feeling of reliving childhood and opening the box for the first time, we wanted to pay what you would normally pay for a toy. I would much rather have a toy available for those who missed out than to not make it again. Yamato knows some fans have missed out and that some fans consider valks naked without the FP. And hell I haven't even got FAST packs yet but this is a good oppurtunity to finally get one.STRIKE HERE I COME!
  16. Don't forget boys some kids like me in college haven't gotten around to getting the FAST packs yet....so this might be a good time for me to FINALLY pick one up rather than pay high on EBAY
  17. its 1/15 scale...so I imagine thats fairly big. I could be wrong. 1/18 is a gijoe scale figure, the a 1/15 pilot could possibly be 5 inches? Who knows. But its perfect transformation WITH magnet assist, this is promising. Hopefully it turns out well. Can't wait to see new pics of the VF-0/
  18. speaking of diecast the shoulder hinges look diecast too!!! I had always wished the 1/48 had diecast hinges, this one does~!
  19. heh actually the cancelled orders have been UNCANCELLED according to nevermore.
  20. Keep the hopes up boys Jason from admiral toys should be announcing in a month or less or 2 which plane will make it next into 1/18 scale. He did say the F-14 and F-4 were possible amongst a few others.
  21. FINALLY SOMETHING NEW!!!! I am beginning to think the VF-0 toy wil not be as big as we think, just as long as we think. I mean the cockpit shouldn't be much bigger than the 1/60 VF-1's however the rest of the parts must be a tad bigger.Like the nose, and chest plate and of the sort. Kinda makes you think. I hope one of the mags takes a pic of the proto next to a 1.48 in battroid mode.
  22. Knight you were already working on stuff in college? wow man!!Cool!!! Are you still@edwards? Did you get to see the F-16Xl's?(those are AWESOME). BTW I am not sure if you heard yet but admiral toys might be making a 1/18 B-17. But their next release MAY be either WWII jets, or some of the modern jets like the tomcat. Jason from admiral toys has been dropping hints. He will reveal the next release soon. He said they won't make the A-10 yet due to tooling costs. And MIke from BBI said that there arew repaints of the BBI apache, hornet and falcon this year. I got the black hornet over xmas and LOVE it. Great toy. Do you have any 1/18 copters? I got the XD cobnra from 21st, VERY cool. I intend to get an F-16 during spring.
