  1. Whoa, hope your get better Noel! Hopefully you didn't break anything.
  2. I assume these could have been 10$ to produce with a 10$ mark up...or maybe 15$ to produce with a 5 markup. These are smaller then the usual valk after all.
  3. I know m and KNight26 would drool if we saw low viz VF-1D 1/48s. Somehow I think that would be a realistic yet awesome bird, and better than the orange ones we see!(and a ton more militaristic looking........like a F-14 squadron bird!!). 2 seaters rule!
  4. I love how the VF-0 looks less refined than the VF-1, definitely older, with jet technology and some pre VF-1 technology, and some advances in some areas, some steps backs, I always thought this bridged the gap between the F-14 and VF-1. Which I LIKE! This is why 4 years back when I first saw it, it instantly became one of my fav fighters. Reminds me so much of 70s era fighter planes, sure its got stealth elements but leave it to dedicated stealthy birds like the VF-17. This VF-0 is badass, the design and the toy.
  5. I'm still holding hope that it'll be 20$, Who knows maybe the price listed was the suggested msrp@the stores? i'm not doubting you Neova, just tryin to be optimistic. I'd be dissapointed if it were 30$. And I do realize these are not mass market...but I'm being optimistic. I mean sites like figures.com and action figure were stating that the price would be 20-25$, so I assume they won't go higher than that. And those weren't the prices retailers were paying for them from what I recall. I guess we should just wait and see. If these had clear canopy and simple folding landing gear, these would be PERFECT for 20$!!
  6. I thought the monster was announced and shown wayyyyyyy back in 2001? Its much longer than last year, I remember they had to stack up cardboard because the resin barrels kept sagging! I am itching to see a 1/60 VF-1 perfect transformation even though I KNOW I am in the minority on this one and its more than likely some pipe dream of mine. I'd like to see bandai pick up a macross license but then again who the hell doesn't and what are the chances? Again pipe dream. I hope we get more pics of yamato's garland, and votoms stuff. If yamato were to give escaflowne another go that would be cool too. A movie escaflowne, sherazarde guymulef, the phantom guymulefs, the manga versions..... I am really pulling for more macross zero stuff. I know how huge an SV-51 would be and trust me boys I don't fear this monster taking up closet and shelf space, I WELCOME the notion!!! Do you realize how menacing and awesome it would look in 1/60 scale? And a VF-0D would be icing on the cake. I bet we will see a 1/60 ghost pack with missle pods, and which doubles not only as an accessory kit, BUT as a stand alone ghost fighter with armnaments. In the words of Montana"now that I liiikkkke!". And hey since it doesn't transform, why not be generous with the diecast on it too? =).
  7. Ah, alas the armor is detailed to hell anyways. I wonder if version 2 has a metal chest brace rather than plastic?(the part that broke in the chest that some members suffered breakage with). The other reasoning I think could be that retailers sold out of the GPS-1 sold out very fast and this is simply just another run. Or perhaps its just the low viz that matt alt spoke of.
  8. Hmm wait...Noel are you goin this year?
  9. I've always wanted yamato to take a stab at making a modern 1/100 diecast destroid kit like the old school takatoku. That set was awesome~!!
  10. So it turns out boys, wonderfest is going to go on in japan this month. AWESOME. yamato always reveals(well almost always) KICK ass stuff at the fest. A couple years back they unveiled the 1/60 VF-1J. Then in fall this past year they unveiled the VF-0. They unveiled a bunch of other stuff I can't remember as well. But if anything we can expect new stuff!! Here is what I think will be shown 1-GPS-1 version 2(the one mentioned@zincpanic). 2-1/60 VF-0S and perhaps A if there is a repaint coming out with the A head(this is the EASIEST retool of the VF-0). 3-new low viz and stealth VF-1. 2-future macross/megazone23/votoms releases. So anyone going? Howard? Noel? Saverobotech? Renato? Speculate, discuss, share info, et al, HERE!!
  11. Heh the display tags say 19.99. Let us hope it stays that way at retail!
  12. I wonder if they meant actually molded/sculpted detail, or stickers/panel lining. Im betting on molded though!~ And man....this thing looks AWESOME!!!! I envy you boys who bought this monster. VERY intimidating....and it can fit on the flexi stands!!! BRILLIANT!!!
  13. I sure hope so~!! That and a GPS!!!! What I like is that it comes with 2 stands, 1 for fighter, 1 for battroid!(Those are the gray pieces fellas). If anything I bet a FAST paack set would cost a mere 7-10$.
  14. Thing is the F-14 was very expensive to maintain, so all the reserve cats went to fly with the active squadrons that needed them, plus a lot of the active duty squadron F-14s were taking up a lot of fatigue. The navy had more F-4s than F-14s.
  15. that puzzles me as well. I kind of hope toynami makes a new 1/72 MPC VF-1 that is cheaper than their overpriced 1/55 MPCs. Come on George, you KNOW you want this to happen...being as you love them HCM's so much...yes you do you do you do hoo!!!!!!!! haha. (Then again this is because I myself unfortunately never had an HCM and was wowed years back when I saw graham's pics of it in the toy section........damn that toy is so unique!)
  16. From zincpanic. Hey isn't there a wonderfest coming up? Or was that in fall?
  17. No F-14s in reserves, the reserve F-14 squadrons got decommissioned in the mid 90s.
  18. more news from action-figure.com Anyone thinking a smaller voltron could come out of this as well? Bring on the invid and qraus!!!!! And this is cheap toy crack, I LOVE the 19.99 price tag!
  19. The valks are perfect transformation sans cockpit and landing gear. but seriously I am not gonna display it gear down much, that stand is too tempting to use! =) Guys who had the super poseables a while back, how was the plastic quality on those? were they high grade PVC or ABS? I think these might be made of the same material. If anything these are decent, I mean again it does not hold a candle to any of the yamato valks at all, but it definitely blows the old taka 1/100 away(and from what I remember the old taka did not have rotating wrists while this one has balljoints. Plus the sculpt on this is far superior_.
  20. It might be stubby to enclose the tbar hip section and the turnable pitot tube. It doesn't bother me really the only thing I could ask more is to have panel lines applied like they did on the old macross plus toys. Once they went VF-1 they stopped pre panel lining.
  21. How so? The only things to swap are the landing gear and the shield....though they aren't really necesary for transformation. action-figure.com has more pics. These are the transformable version of the super poseables to me. Look at the head sculps they look the same! And the grey parts in the box are for the stand.
  22. I think these toys might actually end up superior to the MPC VF-1s. The proportions on these are already better and in some ways the sculpting as well. The PRICE sure is better!(then again I paid 10$ for a MIB fokker MPC.....hmm.....lol but I guess that don't count since it was delisted and 50%ed more).
  23. I hope we get a ghost drone(which is cool since it can be used seperate OR in unison with the valk!), that not only has all the missle pods but also fixed pose hands for the VF-0. This thing looks so awesome!!!
  24. those greys are for the stand.
  25. lowviz you bring up a GREAT POINT! I've love to see 1/100 qrau, DESTROIDS, nosjeadeaul whatever, and some invids thrown in the mix! Alsop please give us a TV Max VF-1A!!! and an angel birds valk!
