I haven't heard of it Graham, probably because it is french, but I doubt that it could be any worse then that garbagefest Stealth. Actually a friend of mine gave that to me a gag gift for christmas and I was thinking of doing a strictly technical review of it, but didn't feel like watching it again that in depth or getting banned. 385002[/snapback] According from posts I read from SSHQ the french movie seemed pretty good. They mounted a camera into a centreline pod on a Mirage 2000D. It was controlled by the backseater. Apparently the inflight footage could give Top Gun a run for its money. And unlike stealth, this one was primarily live action footage. It looked marvelous in the trailer I saw. Although I wish Rafales were used instead of Mirages...who knows? Maybe they were in the movie too.

As far as I know there were no sculpt changes. The only thing the VF19A had different was that its legs could not bend all the way forward in gerwalk mode, unlike the YF19.

Its true. The box has a "version 2" sticker on it. The "tab b" part(the part aft of the canopy that folds in transformation) was strengthened with a harder, more durable plastic since tab b on the first release was prone to snapping. Also the vertical stabilizers were corrected and could be folded(inward) like in the anime rather than outwards like on the first release.

I hope they make a repaint in Hiko Kyodotai colors of the JASDF. I wouldn't be surprised if a repaint of that comes out. Or a JASDF 50th anniversary scheme. Cool thing is, the possible repaints both real world and in the tfu would be AWESOME!

From what I understand Moore just does not like many adaptations of his movies, and it isn't even about money. When it comes to being paid, he diverts all the payments to the people who make the movie and he himself refuses to accept a dime. I did like the movie but I do agree with Graham's assessment of it in many ways. I HATED the masks at the end, and I REALLY HATED how they left out how V in the book, was gathering fertilizer and various plants for sometime while organizing them in a formation...till the day he blew up the detention center and everyone realized his plants and formation with the fertilizer combined turned out to be mustard gas and sarin. To me this showed that he was methodological and very clever with good timing. All they show in the movie is a vague minute long flashback and 2 takes at him burning in a fire yelling. Also the ending could have been an EASY translation but was changed. Also no mention of a viking funeral. And V taking over the radio and V also blowing up one of the lady monuments while calling it a slurm who slept with corruption(the speech was cool). (okay yep they left out QUITE a bit of stuff...). If anything I can't fault Moore for not wanting the movie to be made, the story in itself is his baby, and you don't want anyone else messing with your kids metaphorically speaking. So yes there is worse, and also there is better, thankfully this turned out to be a good movie...I'd give it a 7/10. Translation from comic to movie could have been a LOT better though,

That FOV F-14A looks AWESOME. My god...even a TARPS pod!! a TARPS POD!!! I wonder how durable it will be. I assume since the landing gear has block insertions it will be more durable than my dragon models. Anyone have this yet? And will target sell it? How are the Target FOV warbirds?

Do you think they would offer up the super bug as a replacement for the F-2? I imagine it could take on its role efficiently and possibly do a better job.

Nope last I played was Jetfighter 3 ultimate. Thing I hate about Jetfighter 3 was the realism of flight model wasn't that accurate. I thought the carrier landings were cool though. Guys any idea on what kind of plane the JASDF will replace their F-2 and F-15J's with? I heard it was a new FX project but I could be wrong. I also did hear the raptor rumor...a hiko kyodotai raptor would be PWNAGE in camo godsauce. Also....what does the JASDF use the F-4EJ Kai's for now since the F-15J's are the primary air superiority fighter? and btw fellas admiral toys just released its 1/18 scale F-86, and i hear this tangoes with the best of them..perhaps beating 21st's 1/18 F-104 for best 1/18 plane!(the XD F-104 was known as the best 1/18 plane to buy for quite some time now).

So any of you boys picking up OVer G for Xbox 360? I think itll be the BEST console sim out there! And plus the last time we had a realistic F-14 besides AECA(Aero wings/AEro Elite), was Fleet Defender Gold which was....years back. Also I did notice that you can arm your tomcat with the phoenix in this game....which I did not think was going to happen since this is mostly a dogfighting game. Although I could be wrong since it does have realistic ops and such. This is no ace combat arcadey stuff! IN other words I love it~!

Oh its definitely not 2100. 2100 has an android Ogami based on the original Ogami I believe. I am hoping that Koike can get an artist who has a mastery of brushwork much like Kojima Goseki did. Its a shame Goseki died, wouldve been AWESOME for that team to have reunited for a new Lone Wolf with Daigoro.

Rocketpunch that chick in your avatar is hot. I have read Watchmen but its been years since I have done so. One of those run of the mill visit the campus bookstore and read comics instead of studying for exam type o days. Good times! Is anyone reading the transformers comics? I think infiltration...is just decent. The art is rather bland and doesn't grab my attention, I think EJ Su needs work even though IDW Chris Ryall makes MANY attempts to stand up for him and promises upcoming issues will solidify him as one of THEE TF artists. Nonetheless Su's people drawings look uninspired and the vehicle alt modes of the tfs look very very unproportionate. Robot modes are....okay. BEAST WARS however by Don Figueroa kicks mighty ass. Very cool. I'm surprised Fuhrman decided to bring some obscure and japanese characters into the fray...such as Magmatron. I thought it was awesome Polar Claw got some love as well. Not to mention its DRAWN very well and the colors are good. Story is something Im feelin, its nice to see japanese exclusive characters such as Lio Convoy and magmatron gettin some love here, and man Don made lio convoy look WAY better than the toy incarnations. Now if the toys were like THAT....wow. (lio convoy toys from what I hear were not that good but the robotmaster version i hear is better than the original). I also took a glimpse@ Lone Wolf n Cub 2100..which supposedly was written with supervision by Kazuo Koike. Nonetheless.....did the legend of the Lone wolf REALLY have to go into the future with an android Ogami? Ugh...I dunno.

And there are plastic parts in some areas, if you look closely at some of the prototypes from toyfair, you can see it. I think perhaps the toys are 70% diecast and 30% plastic. And I assume they should be playable since they are mass market as well. KICK ASS!!! God man been waiting SO long for a cool jetfire g1 revisited! And I bet Don is on cloud 9 right now seeing a DIECAST series made based on his very own designs!

I hope the changes made to the story in the movie don't turn me off. I did hear that Natalie Portman's breaking down scene is the most important in the film much like how it is in the graphic novel. I just HATE how the story was changed to make it reflect current times. Nonetheless I do agree I love the story, art was kind of hard to follow but this may have been due to compromises made for the scripts Moore was writing at the time. I really want to know who V was, I know about prisoner in room 5 but Moore did hint who it could be a couple times without ever revealing who it was, just who it wasn't. It wasn't Evey's parents or this other person I think a cop. For all I know perhaps it was someone masquerading as a cop who knew were to strike and all the vulnerable places. Who knows. Any guesses? I did think his way of building a weird pattern in his room all the time and revealing it to be mustard gas in an attack was BRILLIANT. Not only was this guy a freedom fighter, but a true skilled and patient tactician. Thats what I loved about the story, the pacing. Viking Funeral..just bliss!

The original story was concieved in 1983 and and was against the thatcher parliament. The story in the movie was changed to reflect today's political climate. This is my main beef with the film. I HATE how hollywood tries to change good stories just to make them relevant to present time. Its like adding an F-22 into the pearl harbor movie, is just something that SHOULDNT be done.
