1. YES, BBI showed off a prototype at fall toyfair last year. They kind of dodge questions on it but the prototype was there.
2. Okay fellas. A lot of us,(including myself) want a VF-0D to be made in 1/60 scale. Its... 1-flown by the main character 2-AWESOME 3-a 2 seater 4-Very different 5-not what we are used to 6-Brand spanking new design With that said I wonder, what would you want more from yamato, the VF-0S coming out soon, or a VF-0D? *I have heard a couple of you would much rather want a VF-0D and pass over the VF-0S in the event that a VF-0D does come out* Discuss!
3. Yes but those toys were simpler, a lot smaller, and a lot cheaper to produce. Not to mention the cost of petroleum for plastics wasn't as high then as it is now(its affecting the ENTIRE global action figure industry).
4. , looks kinda funny seeing a robot in that pose . About the back pack thing, since I have 6 Vectors, I could probably build 3 Aquarions if I don't add the back pack . I'm sure the connector's are the same on both versions, so that should work, though I haven't seen anyone try it yet. 386682 Kawamori tries it in the new issue of Figure Oh. He made some huge kind of sword or something out of at least 6 vectors. Also he made some funny robots using the Luna and the Mars vectors which look like they're skiing. And for some reason he also encased some in ice. I swear that guy's a madman. 386799 Have those Figure Oh pics been posted anywhere? I'd LOVE to see what else Kawamori can do with the Vectors. Looks like some fans have already discovered new transformations. Can you say....HEAVY VARIABLE FIGHTER!?!?!?!? WOW! http://www.toysdaily.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=35441 387252 Kawamori should be proud! That is AWESOME! I wonder what the recipe for that one is. Hopefully its just one set rather than multiples....god that would be expensive!
5. Yes, the Raptor would replace the F-15Cs as the front-line fighter for the USAF. There's no official news on the 23 going into production in any way yet, that I know of. The F-15E Strike Eagles would still be the main attack aircraft, the F-117 being the "special-ops" precision-bomber of the USAF. My suggestion on making the 23 a dual-role aircraft (stealth interceptor / stealth deep precision-striker) was only theoretical. In my crazy idea, this could allow the 23 to replace both the Strike Eagle and the Nighthawk. On the JSF : - F-35A CTOL will replace USAF F-16 C / D and A-10s. - F-35B STOVL will replace USMC's F/A-18s and AV-8B Harrier II STOVL fighters. - F-35C CV (carrier variant) will replace all USN's F-14s and F/A-18 C / D variants, complementing the carrier air wing along the F/A-18E/Fs. 387263 Oh I agree. I think the YF-23 would be more survivable than the F-15E since it can carry some a2a internally as not to compromise speed, and along with its stealth and speed, would be safer. Its already a lot more manueverable than the F-15E, so it could pretty much be a multirole fighter with high survivability and minimal compromises in regards to being multirole.
6. I've seen it a few weeks back. To my knowledge it has yet to recieve the TPB treatment. I gotta pick it up, Wolvie is my fav and Havok is one of my favs as well.

Then again if a company was making toys that I designed and giving me multiple samples to mess with, I'd probably do some crazy shiz like that also. I find the toy designs to be VERY appealing however the price is the main thing stopping me from purchasing. Maybe a smaller cheaper version will be made in the future. Or maybe when I get a job lol. The attack version is pure bliss! God that looks awesome. The soundtrack is GREAT as well!
8. Anyone else think that Kawamori designed MP-03? I mean the teaser WAS included with THS-02, which he designed...and not any other tf release.... Besides if there is anyone who can design a variable jet transformer I doubt anyone could do better than the hory froating head himserf! And if it were in 1/24 scale hory fcuk that would be AWESOME!*I collect 1/18 jets so to me 1/24 is not that big*
9. So I take it.... F-22 replaces F-15C's. F-23RFB replaces F-15E's JSF replaces F-16/F-1117's.
10. Ace Combat Zero comes out later this month but someone already converted the music tracks from the game into Mp3 format here. http://jeff.ali213.net/ACZero/index.htm Sounds much more dramatic than 4 and 5. If anything its like Ace combat 4/5's music smacked with metal gear solid. Pretty good IMHO! I like the juggernaut song a LOT!
11. G Kuroryuu, I rememeber seeing an episode of Firepower on the Military channel and they showed a squadron of 5 F-15's that decided to go up against two F-22's to see if the F-15's could tangle with them in air combat but they all got served. I also agree that the YF-23 looks far better than the F-22 because of it's innovative sci-fi UFO like design, but the reason why it didn't win the competition against the F-22 was because of one thing; it didn't fire a missle. How retarded is that? 387153 NOPE. It could fire missles but the F-22 was farther in development in regards to testing. Also the F-22 was a more conservative design using technologies that were more mature in comparison to the YF-23. The sad thing is noone may ever know just how far the YF-23 could have excelled. Its said to be stealthier. Also Northrop and mcdonnal douglass were not doing that well at the time with cost overruns and delays(A-12 anyone?), in comparison with lockheed, who was doing much better. So politics and less risk played a part in choosing the F-22. THe reason noone makes such a big fuss about it like the whole superhornet/tomcat debate is because the F-22 purely outclasses the plane it is supposed to succeed(the F-15).
12. Huh? Volume 2 of what? The limited series was 4 issues, nothing more. Unless you're talking about the TBP of the ongoing Wolverine series started in 1988 or the "Best of Wolverine" volumes that collect both the 4-issue limited series plus Weapon X, Incredible Hulk, and Captain America issues that feature Wolverine as a guest star. 387160 The cover is white....it was the first time I had seen it. Not sure if it is "best of wolverine" since I have seen that as well.
13. YA know in my old super thread, we barely mentioned beloved WW2 birds. As a relative newcomer in the 1/18 scale collecting community, I am thrilled that 21st and BBi still continue to pump out some 1/18 birds. What are your fav Ww2 fighters? And for the sake of nostalgia... ME-109 vs P-51 P-51 vs P-47 Spitfire vs Seafire Corsair vs Hellcat Discuss! oh yea... Stuka vs Sturmovik...which was the more capable attacker? and 21st just released their retooled P-51.....competition with BBI's P-51 is high...so far I have heard the dihedrehal on the 21st one is superior but the BBI one is still holding ground. *Btw boys, 21stcenturytoys.com's AREA 51 fan club just announced that they will unveil the FIRST pics of their upcoming 1/18 MIG-15 and F-86 next weekend!*
14. The title is simply Wolverine (with a "Marvel Comics Presents" subheading). ISBN number is 087135277X, or you can follow this link to Amazon.com: Wolverine 4-Issue Limited Series TBP 387023 There is also a vol.2 I am not sure how hold it is but I saw it at a local comic shop a week ago. Anyone picking up the Ashley Wood Hellspawn tpb later this month? I totally forgot he even painted that series!
15. In next month''s issue of hobby dengeki and other hobby mags. Release date is in september so the prototype might be much further along than anyone imagined.
16. where can I find that TPB? I would like to read the miniseries 386879 I usually find it at waldenbooks. If not there, your local comic store.
17. I think vol1. and 2 are available for 12.99 each. There is also a hardcover with both. Its too bad that Whedon and Cassady will eventually leave Astonishing to a new creative team(I forgot who was named as their replacements but I read it at newsarama).
18. So anyone preorder the FOV black knights F-14A? looks to be the best diecast tomcat with swap gear! There is also a VF-41 version coming out. There are pics at topgun.jp but they are pretty hard to find(that site is confusing to navigate!) And kaivasflam that was the funniest thing I have heard yet! L O L
19. Don't gotta wait long...MP-03 Starscream CONFIRMED for september release! HELL YESS!!!!
20. I looked up these books on the net and I assume you're referring to the Joss Whedon books correct? Thanks for the suggestion, I think I'll check them out. Believe me, I know full well the tangled travesty that is the timeline of X-Men books. To call the franchise a continuity nightmare would be selling it short Speaking of X-books, any opinion on those "Wolverine Origin" or the "Wolverine The End" books? I've heard both good and bad things about these books. Doing a little research, it seems most fans still point to the Chris Claremont/Frank Miller TPB as the best Wolverine TPB, but I'd like to learn a bit more info about Origin/End if you have any opinion. 385671 Yep I was referring to Joss' X books. The END was drawn well, but the storyline was cliche and very very very predictable. Basically it ties into ORigin....but more or less wasn't needed. It just adds to it....but it was not a necesarry story addition. By the time you read the first chapter you pretty much already know how it will turn out. Has the "too good to be true" kind of motif. Basically you are also teased with knowing MORE about Wolvie's past that even he himself knows nothing about at this point but at the end you never know what it is. Dissapointing. If you are going to get it, get it for the art and for the fact that Wolverine still does not die. Origin was good. Hints at "Dog" being Sabretooth. The storyline came out of nowhere and was nothing I was expecting AT ALL. Explains the whole memory lapse thing(memory loss wasn't at the hands of the CIA, wolvie's healing factor is not just physical but mental, whatever trauma occurs to him, he usually forgets over time...and some pretty traumatic stuff does happen in that story). If anything its a fresh take at the origin of wolverine that doesn't coming off sounding like a modernized Weapon X tale. IF anything, its anything BUT. BTW at the end of House of M, Wolverine remembers EVERYTHING in his past. Which ties into the ongoing "Wolverine:Origins" book coming in april. The clarement/miller trade probably is the best Wolverine trade.
21. The Astonishing Xmen tpbs vol 1 and 2. To me this is the only X men series with cohesiveness/consistency. One read at uncanny and already my mind is going in spirals trying to figure out wtf is going on. With astonishing, its a team with a small roster, consistent storyline, and not that much interaction with other x titles. It stands on its own rather than relying on other xbooks, which is rare nowatdays.
22. For those wanting to get into the Beast Wars comic, the story is a mesh of the US and japanese storylines. Optimus PRimal is nowhere to be seen aside the covers so far. And right now Lio Convoy seems to play a prominent leadership role, as well as Magmatron for the preds. Next issue has them kicking each other's ass.....well least the cover shows that. I like it, and obscure beast wars characters show up as well. Also OYL looks pretty good so far, Nightwing is off to a good start. Jason Todd is the 2nd Nightwing....so theres a rivalry b/w him and Dick. Issue starts off with Jason slicing some dude's throat. Ends with Dick thrown off a building but Jason catching him. Oh and Dick ain't engaged to Babs no more. And anyone care to explain to me what the hell superboy prime is about? Is he an armored superhero badass superman? Or is he a villain? This multiple earth thing is confusing!
