Push that back piece with the hook all the way into the back, there are 2 nubs on the sides that it has to go past. Also the 1/48 FAST pack set has an extra white piece, once you lock in the hook/backplate, pluge that white piece into there, this secures it.

Actually it was noted that Kawamori acknowledged that the F-111 was an influence on the VF-1. It was an interview from a coupld years back I believe.

So David, do you like this better than AC5? I like the soundtrack better, but have yet to play the game. I keep hearing that this game is harder than 4/5 so that leaves me thinking maybe it'll be better. And what are your opinions on the replay system? I still think Lethal Skies II had the best replays ever. Too bad as a game it wasn't as good as the ace combats

Ah thats alright, I usually display mine in flight. Looks to me that Corgi and FOV might be more suited to my tastes. Anyone got FOV's? They are 10$/super cheap at target.

I heard the FC-1 was underpowered and not as promising as they made it out to be. CORGI and Dragon models owners....are Corgi's more durable? I am beginning to think(by pctures) that they might be, I hear Corgi's are more like solid slabs of metal, whereas Dragon models are put togethere with mostly diecast and minimal plastic, but if anything definitely a pre built model kit rather than a slab of metal molded with some parts added on. I need something to zoom around the apartment, the dragon models I have are cool(F-15C/F-16C) and the eagle is quite heavy which I like, however just by zooming those around the pad, I can definitely tell they aren't made to be played with. Corgi's look more durable in several instances from what I can tell. Any opinions/thoughts? How durable are the Forces of Valor models? The F-14A black knight they have looks AWESOME, and might be more durable than Dragon's, hell it looks better and a lot more accurate as well. Can't wait till it comes out, hopefully it shows up at target! Right now, topgun.jp and badcataviation.com have it.

This is true, but for the most part, myself being a student still, I have to be more careful with my expenses thus more selective. I'd hate to buy something and have it be less than I expected to the point where I'd have to take a gamble and buy another and hope it isn't screwed up. With domestic releases I can simply go back and exchange it, but for these? I doubt it. I mean these are import only expensive toys. If the whole HG thing wasn't going on and these were distributed by yamato USA, then yes maybe I would be buying the first releases. But as it stands, its a bit of a risk. I had no doubt in my mind the VF-0S would probably be the best yamato toy so far, in regards to qc and design. But in my experience, I found it best to play the waiting game. I waited to hear all of your views on the 1/60 hikaru and the review by Graham before finally deciding to buy one. I never wanted a "tab B" to happen to me. I always wait till I hear multiple views on macrossworld, then I proceed to buy. Because usually more than enough, I only gather enough money to buy 1. I mean my yamato VF-1 collection consists of a 1/60 and a 1/48. Hell I WISH I had enough money to get more, it sucks realizing that when my career lifts off in a few years that only then will I get enough funds to get everything, but by then maybe yamato won't be releasing them anymore and 2ndary prices might be sky high. So with me, it don't hurt to be a lil careful. And besides thats what this forum is about in a way, getting the word out to the fellow collector of what to watch out for. If a bunch of you had it, and had barely any qc problems and the toy proved to be near flawless and great, and if I had the money, HELL YEA I would buy it! The VF-0 to me might actually be my fav valk design. If I get enough funds by AMA and if i see it there, maybe I'll pick it up.

Goodness, After napping due to gorging myself@ a chinese buffet, I wake up to find this. WHOA! I admit, I was expecting something better, something akin to a G1 modernized. But these still look cool. The scan is horrible my goodness, but I guess action HQ just wants to get the word out first. These look promising, can't wait to see the rest~! And earlier today I was thinking Megs would be a handheld gun that kids and collectors could hold just to shut us collectors up, I woke up and realized I was right. How cool is that>?!

You did same with the low Vis?? 395060[/snapback] I never even bothered. The only 1/48 I bought was the 1S Hikaru. Thing is the VF-0 is pretty new and different, hence why I want to buy it. But usually in my case, I wait till everyone has their hands on the release and post reviews and stuff to watch out for. I never bought a YF-19 until the VF-19A came out. I should have waited for the FP VF-11 but I didn't and mine(version 1) broke like many others experiences.

Yup if anything I thought Big 0 was a more modernized darker Super robot 70s influenced show.

Yes it can, high speed gives the missle a lot more momentum. And besides if the tomcats were going high speed, you wouldn't be able to see the missle launch well from the camera. But is it closer to 4 than to 5? 5's replay system was rather lackluster in comparison to 4.

I think it looks cool but I think the eye visor should have at least been colored green or blue. Maybe a yellow tint and yellow tinted canopy.

Guys I heard the replays in 0 are better than the ones in 5. Is this true? I heard it was more like ac4 than 5, in regards to the replay movies/viewer

If you have AC4 and 5 beat and saved to the memory card you use with AC0, I heard the falken and X-02 are automatically unlocked, you just need to get the money to buy them.

UHm....not sure since its been a while. An F-14G Hellcat II did make an appearance in Airforce Delta Storm for xbox though...not sure what that looks like.

Man if gaincorp had the option of retractable swap gear, I would so be all over ALL of their releases and completely forget about dragon..

The proto of classics SS shown@botcon was said to be an F-15. And please post@tfw2005 regarding to parts, no offense to them, but most of them are out of the loop concerning fighter planes.

They did mention on other sites during toyfair that one of the big reasons for doing the `1/100 line was the notion of doing enemy mecha. I do believe destroids were mentioned too.
