1. Its better in the video since its in movement. I am impressed by the trailer, more so than xmen 3.
2. LOL. Knight does give you some pretty cool color schemes though. Makes the F-20 and F-15E look awesome in that game. Graham if you like blowing up yellow targets, wait till ya unlock the Morgan....and the MPBM....my god that weapon is awesome! Its a mini GUIDED nuke. I shot Gelb 2 with it head on for kicks and he and whoever else was in that city got PWND hardcore. And I unlocked the gauntlet mission last night and fought mobius 1...lost too. He's a madman shooting off 4XMAA every other minute. He must have unlimited salvoes of that damn weapon.
3. Did you guys know that Johnny Blaze is back as ghost rider? Don't know what happened to Danny Ketch, but Blaze is back in the new ongoing series thats coming out soon. I just picked up Wolverine:Origins 1 and 2. I got the variant covers, didn't really care for the michael turner version cover to #1, but it was all they had left. The Bryan hitch cover(the guy who drew ultimates) to #2 is AWESOME!! Basically if your an old school wolvie fan who liked the first ongoing series in the late 80s, chances are you'll like origins. Story is intriguing and shows some of Wolverine's past as a CIA watchdog or in his words "dog handler". Picked up Wolverine 42 today mainly because Humberto Ramos drew it. Story seems good too and it ties into Civil war. Wolvie is trying to hunt down Nitro even though a lot of people are against him doing so. My kinda book! He disobeys Cyclops and calls him out. EVen though it seems Wolvie doesn't really have many of his teammate's support, as usual he doesn't give a shi*t and goes on on his merry way to kick ass. I also picked up Ion #1. Kyle Rayner's new identity. Interesting, least theres life left for him after being replaced as GL by Hal. Also got Secret 6#1. KICK ASS. I highly reccomend it. Villain team starting to fight another villain team, and a villain's perspective in comics is always cool too. Gi joe vs tf is surprisingly good....way better storyline than whats going on now in gi joe:american elite. For some reason the feel of the joes is captured better in the crossver book...HMMMM!! Moon Knight is BAD ASS! Artwork is awesome Im so happy marvel brought back this obscure character! And to those into Halo, the graphic novel is due out soon. Not sure when. Also one of my teachers/professors is in there(George Pratt). From VCU as well is Sterling Hundley.
4. Phalanx, most of the questions you ask are all covered in the old 100+page super thread thats archived. I suggest going there, read through each page, and you'll come back here knowing way more, asking a lot less. No offense.
5. If you have ac5 saved on the same memory stick u are using, then it shows up on mission 2. I was surprised it showed up right away but its similar on both us and japanese versions(I have us) Mission 4 is split into 3 different missions. I believe Costner(the one you have to beat) is the last one. The typhoon is much more capable in the game than the F-16C. When I bought the typhoon, I used it in most of my missions since at the time, it was simply the best and most versatile/capable fighter I had purchased. btw im on my 4th playthrough and STILL havent bought every plane. Still this plane is enjoyable!
6. Just unlocked the morgan last night...holy hell that MPBM is AWESOME!! I love unleasing it at puny fighters just to seem them get mauled! It looks more appealing than the falken to me as well.
7. durable. Hate when people say its a model and delicate. MY ASS! Just watch out for BP8 and use common sense when messing with it. All these people who say its like a model haven't handled it enough. Hell your transformer alternators have a higher chance of breakin LONG before your 1/48 ever will. It aint no bandai but it aint no weak plastic model niether. Its a damn toy. The only comparisons it should have with model kits is its level of detail. And for those who say it dont compare to hasegawa, face it, us fans want damn toys and something more detailed than the chunky monkeys we grew up with. So yes buy it and watchout for the backpack and itll be FUN!
8. They seemed to have sacraficed the robot mode a little bit to make the best fighter mode. The proportions are a bit off, but I can live with that. What really bothers me is that they made the head sit a little too high off his shoulders. He looks like he has an unusually long and fat neck. Other than that, it looks pretty good to me. It is too bad though that they decided to take the route of making the vehicle mode better than robot. MP Prime was the exact opposite where the truck mode suffered because of the robot mode. But guess what, I can buy a great model of a truck or fighter plane at any model shop. I can only get one MP transformer that looks like Prime or Starscream. 401406 Being that Kawamori designed it, I'm not surprised at all that he emphasized vehicle first. After all he is a huge fighter jet nut.
9. I like ac0 better than 4 and 5. Its got the mercenary feel of part 2, the AI is a lot better and more aggressive, the VERSUS mode is surprisingly fun and I couldn't believe it myself, but a TON better than 4's versus mode. Ya know its actually worth VERSING in this regard. The assault record is brilliant. So much backstory in that darn thing alone. Its funny how some of the aces you massacre become loan sharks and some are characters from 5. Overall this seems like a true successor to part 2 in regards to gameplay and paths. I LOVE the ace style thingamajig. Color schemes are no longer suspect like they were in 5/.(look at the F-4G SP scheme......what a disgrace to one of the most venerable jets ever). The replays are a tad bit better than 5, suttle differences but it does make a difference, you really gotta sit down and watch it to notice though. Enemies on expert actually give me a hard time, this wasn't so in 4 and 5, I had to put 4 and 5 on ace for me to get a challenge. Experts already giving me a challenge in 0. I just wish 0 had some of the unique planes that 5 did, I miss the YA-10B, F-16 blk 60(I know i know its ugly but its unique), tornado F3 and ECR, S32, MIG 1/44, and F-4X/G. And I question why they brought the Falken and X-02 back and NOT the XFA-27 from 2, arguably the most popular special plane of all the ace combats. The fact that you can SWITCH special weapons like in 4 is a great comeback, it was sorely missed in 5. I also like how my wingmen have dedicated planes. I think PJ is a tool though. With the return of swap weapons you can use maximize use of such planes such as the typoon, F-16XL, F-15STMD, and F-14D, planes limited to just one special ability in 5. This games lets the planes truly become multirole in respect to special inventory. I find the music very majestic and appealing. The cinematogrophy for stages such as mayhem and all are well done as well. Its good that its a self contained story that can stand alone even if it does tie into 5. Also this is fairly suttle but anyone noticed that the galm symbol on the F-20's knight scheme is much more regal than on its other schemes? They made it more royal so to speak, fitting that its a knight scheme as well. All in all I think this is the best ps2 ac yet. And guys the versus mode is surprisingly good, I suggest trying it! Theres even a realism match where you are limited to 6 missles and 2 specials each with infinte gun. The landscape is a city. THAT is a challenge(especially when most are so used to using the missles). Very fun. Blows 4's versus modes out of the water by far!
10. t6hat CG model is ultra magnus haha
11. Hey guys, are these worth the 20$ that are usually charged for these? And can the weapons and figure be placed back in the case? If so I may consider buying these, the ABS and detail is definitely impressive.
12. Color scheme looks to be based on the Mitsubishi F-1 camo, a native plane to japan thats retiring fairly soon if not already.....also a plane the JASDF and its pilots have immense national pride in... \So it don't surprise me at all that yamato made this repaint. In fact I wonder why they did not do it SOONER. And being that Kawamori is a fighter jet nut, I'm sure this thing had his blessins.

14. ROT(the typhoon aces) are the first ace squad you fight, and the eurofighter is unlockable early on during the first run through of the game. The ace scheme for it kicks all of the ac5 typhoon ace scheme's asses. Thing is while you do unlock planes every few missions, it takes a long time to get enough money to buy them all. This game definitely requires more than one run through. I love it though. THe assualt record is cool. I like hearing about what happened to some of the aces I shot down.
15. I am not a JSF fan either. Now if it was the F-22 being pressed into service and worked up to essentially do the JSF's jobs, THEN yes I 'd be happy. Its got the range and space and all the defensive needs that are so much better. Big fighters have the space ya know. Now the question is.... WHO WILL GET THE BEST EUROFIGHTER TYPHOON? Britain keeps getting different tranches and from what I read, keeps changing minds on whether to replace the cannon with ballast or leave it in and just not use it. Whatever happened to pushing the damn thing to its full potential? The typhoon can do so much and yet its own parent nation holds it back. I wonder why though, I mean if they push it to its best, it could save them so much money rather than making so many different tranches each limited in some way.
16. Saw the raptor demo vids. Pretty impressive. The cobra was cool, I like how its got enough power to accelerate in the vertical right after doing the cobra(nose can stay pitched up rather than tip back down). I also did see the hover, pretty cool as well.
17. Quick off-topic question Shin, are you a high school senior or a college senior? 398865 college
18. Thanks for the tip! What are the ratios for the paint/water/soap ? And me being a total noob, what's the soap for? Less water tension so it will sink into every crevice of the valk? 398837 Since acrylic dries rather fast and is permanent, I think the palmolive acts as a delayer for drying. As in slowing down the speed of drying so you can still wipe off what you do not need, and let the areas you do want to keep settle in and dry.
19. flyingmule.com's got it up for preorder too Graham! Pick your poison, 1 seater, or 2 seater. They differ slightly in armnaments as well.
20. Crap I missed it because of finals! My brother went though, so hopefully he watched it and can fill me in. btw boys, CORGI has an EF2000 and 2 seat EF2000 coming out later this year. Heck yea! THe FOV F-14A is starting to show up@hobby stores, and to me it looks to be the best 1/72 diecast tomcat out there, even accuracy wise. Heh FOV kicked their own ass with that one! Looks to be superior to the dragon F-14's, in regards to accuracy(looks like an A with TCS), has WEAPONS, ease of gear and weapons removal, and the only thing I see off aside the pilots are the vert stabs which need to be straight rather than angling a tiny bit inwards, won't stop me from buying it at the store though! Looks TONS better than dragon. And the S1 scheme that 21st century toys 1/18 XD MIG-15 will use has a red nose. Pretty cool!
21. Nope. MOST of you love this thing@1/60, and I'm not lying, I do myself. But I do not think 1/48 is insane at all. Remember, this is the same company that intended to create a 1/60 monster a couple years back. Sure it never came out but still it would have been awesome if they did. Too big for display cases?? I collect 1/18 scale planes, so in my case, no. I think it would have been AWESOME in 1/48, it would have given yamato more space to cram in some painstaking detail that they are known for. It would have costed much yes but hell to me it would have appealed more. I realize I am in the minority and there are just a few of us who wanted it 1/48, with that said the 1/60 VF-0 does not dissapoint me, I just think it'd be cooler if we had a giant 1/48 scaled VF-0. Besides most of you here have more 1/48 VF-1's and less 1/60. With that said, I will gladly buy this toy. Don't get me wrong I don't hate that its 1/60, I just wish it was 1/48(YES I REALIZE IT WOULD PROBABLY BE 2 FEET LONG AND TALL AND REMEMBER I COLLECT 1/18 SCALE TOYS SO TRUST ME THIS WOULDN'T BE ALL THAT BIG FOR ME). *Btw that ink line technique brought up earlier with the palm olive, GENIUS!! I'm definitely trying it out!*
