What I did was buy the F-15C immediately then I think the ACTIV later on. F-15C and typhoon lasted me for a LONG LONG while.

For surpreme knight don't destroy any yellow targets AT ALL. They are right on soldier, its kill some, leave some yellow to flee. Each time you do this on a stage, your guage either increases, decreases or stays the same. Just monitor your guage. If its veering to knight too much, shoot some yellows. If after another stages its veering to mercenary, let some yellows go on the next stage. Its more of a give or take kinda deal. Also the planes take a LONG time to earn, compared to all the other ace combats. Building up money takes hella long. But I guess that and earning the medals, unlocking everything under different conditions and 3 styles makes the replayability high, especially compared to 5.

If you destroy EVERYTHING in each stage, yes. Supreme soldier is the hardest, your guage has to be EXACTLY in the middle.

THe Hikaru one is out@Anime conventions and is an SDCC exclusive for later this month. The 1st wave(Roy, Hikaru, Max) are set for mid-late summer, so I would think at least buy august if not the end of this month. And I totally forgot these were in scale with the HG/MG Gundams! The only reason I think people think these are glorified banprestos is because of the size. Really to me, they look like transformable superposeables. Totally different from the banprestos, I've seen the banprestos up close and man are they scrawny!

He's based on the old Soundblaster. Soundblaster in G1 was Soundwave coming back after he and Blaster killed each other(Blaster came back also but instead of red he was blue). Soundblaster in g1 could also hold 2 tapes in his chest rather than just 1.

you really think it'll be that much? the valks cost $20 and they actually do something and come with accessories, while the FP's are just accessories, decorative so to speak. theres nothing particular fresh about them that they would command a $15 price tag let alone $20. i was thinking more along the lines of $9.99....if even that. thats like yamato charging the same price for the FP kit as they're charging for their valks. yamato FP's are about a 1/3 of the price of their valks, so i would hope that toynami follows in yamatos footsteps and keep the price tag somewhat realistic. 414555[/snapback] Oh I'd love a 10$ msrp, don't get me wrong, I was just estimating@least 15$ just to be safe. Hey man I'd rather they do that, saves us money in the long run. Some of us won't want FAST packs for each one, and they certainly would cost more than 25$ w/FAST packs packed in. I'm assuming the FAST packs will be b/w 15-20$ max.

It's been so long since I've seen the pictures that I can't say for sure. I was under the impression though that they were new figures developed as part of the Superposeable lines. If they really were reissues of the old toys than yeah, I'm fine with them not being released. I remember that most of us noticed since the articulation was very very basic, and the sculpts seemed so familiar, then we figuered out they were released in the mid 90s under the exosquad/robotech banner.

Actually, I think Bobe said that the armors count as volumes too so far we have: 0 - Hik VF-1S 1-3 - Hik 1A, Max 1A, Roy 1S 3-6 - Hik 1J, Max 1J, Miria 1J 7-9 - Hik, Miria, Max Fastpack TV 10 - Hik Strike Armor DYRL Does it strike anyone odd that the Fastpacks are hybrids? They come with strike cannons... that's cool. Why doesn't Toynami color the leg armor like Yamato does? They also left the leg armor grey on their MPC releases. Don't forget, Toynami has a nasty habit of claiming things will make it to production and then not following through with it so let's all just keep our fingers crossed. The good news is if they keep releasing these as 3 part sets then it'll be a lot easier for them to make unpopular valks and ship them with a sure seller. that's a good question, because we have an answer to that!! We actually talked to one of the reps there and he told us we'll be seeing about 25 or 26 volumes of this. Each one of these are numbered, so the exclusive is numbered 0 while the first three is 1, 2, and 3. And there's suppose to be 26 of these? so that means they are making them all, including the elintseeker and super O! GBP wasn't confirmed yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll be out too. Hey, as much as I'd love to be optomistic here, we should also hedge our optimism by remembering the Destroids, SDF-1, and Cyclones that they started work on and have never finished. If I'm not mistaken, the Destroids and SDF-1 both made public appearances before they got S*itcanned so it's not like the Beta would be the first. Weren't the destroids just the playmates reissues? If so I can see why they got scrapped, I keep hoping we see high detailed articulated destroids in the $20/1/100 line. FINALLY A SMALL DECENT QUALITY VF-1 TOY FOR 20$!!!(Yes the msp is $19.99, the 25$ is for the hikaru SDCC exclusive only presumably because it is an exclusive and the first to be released). Not a bad price for an exclusive, after all hasbro's nemesis prime is 5$ over the retail msrp as well. Also are the joints tight? How well do the missles stay in? Can the wings stay in place? How tall are these? Any comparison pics? To me these look more comparable to the takatoku 1/100's rather than the Banprestos. Almost like the lovechild of a 1/100 and a super poseable, only more poseable. And hey I'd much rather buy these rather than a swap transformation 1/100 bandai kit! And, if you guys got some, post more pics! Any idea on the msrp for the FAST packs? How about GPS-1 or ELINT seeker armor? That would rule!

Read some posts@rt.com and people are saying these things were@AX. Any of you see them? One guy who bought them said they are pretty high quality. I expect we are getting what we pay for for the most part. He also said there was some stuff previewed like the FAST packs and that they looked pretty cool. Any of you who attended AX got pictures or descriptions? What did you think? Did any of you buy 1?

Hey dr reggae, how was primus? I've been considering getting him just to put him next to unicron. What's your info on the good and bad points of the toy? BTW - Where is your Defensor ? He's actually one of the more solid combiners, in that his limbs are pretty tight, and doesn't look too ungainly in gestalt mode. As individual toys, however, the Protectobots were always kind of so-so. As for Primus...I have to say that he's sweet as hell. Awesome detail (he's even got Iacon and Kaon as cities on his planet exterior), good colors, and even the kibble on him doesn't detract from the overall look and feel of the figure/character. My two minor complaints about him so far are that I wouldn't mind having more flexibility with his arms (his elbows are kind of high up, and his shoulder armor doesn't allow full rotation), and that his fingers are hella long when extended. And I was lucky enough to get the version that came with Unicron's damaged head. My girlfriend was rolling her eyes at me all weekend.
