415686[/snapback] He does, they just altered the legs and hips. He's still an F-15 His robot mode isn't EXACTLY like his cartoon self but its pretty damn close. He looks like a modernized G1 version. Honestly this makes the old g1 toy look like ass. Sure it was great for nostalgia and while growing up, but you can't possibly tell me the old g1 toy looked better than this. The prototype looked too predictable to me, this is a nice change. And besides, what people aren't realizing is that the weight of the wings and all that on the old prototype's legs might make the legs loosen overtime and become very wobbly. Hell MP prime didn't even transform like the old g1 prime and yet people loved him. Me I am a huge Starscream fan and this one looks like a revized modern G1, I am buying it.

Maybe they are 1/120? They are pretty small last time I saw them, which was a month ago. Still to me 20$ does not sound bad, I look at these,and the similarly priced revoltechs, and can't help but thing these things have more bang for the buck.

I didn't say they were bad. But they're not worth $20. Those Banprestos have an excuse to be $17 because they're imported and unavailable outside of Japan. Remember? But these are toys available domestically and we're paying import prices. What I'm saying is the price is set on how it's packaged. Put these toys on blister cards like they're suppose to be and you'll see exactly what they're worth. At the most these toys are worth $10 even if their run is limited. It just bugs me that they claim that if BW allows them to import Yamato stuff then it'll be more affordable, just another claim they wouldnt be able to deliver on. For $20 I'd expect the FPs to be included. Then it'll be a decent deal. Nonetheless, for me, I was excited when these were first announced@fall toyfair last year, and I knew the price back then, so I guess I was prepared to see the price still the same. I do need to see these for myself and hopefully the time comes soon. The hikaru exclusive was the 1st release so the 1st wave should not be too far behind. For what its worth my main thing is that they aren't as overpriced in comparison to what the MPC was. I really do need to see these for myself. Me personally though, I'd prefer a box so I could store all the accessories somewhere if I were to move or something. With a blister card, that'd be difficult to do.

If you get the Stealth buy the sticker set from Takatoys. He made it look freaking AWESOME! My god that was a cool looking valk after he was done with it!

So guys the 15th anniversary megs and primal are hitting shelves. Did anyone pick them up? I've always wanted to get the megs, but primal is iffy, I guess I am warming up to him but he's such a departure from the original! Not "enhanced" lookin like megs does. Anyways bwtf.com did a review of primal, its interesting. The BFG is definitely an homage to Big Convoy...and damn...the whole surfboard gets shoulder mounted...interesting and unexpected. I miss the melee weapons! And the wrists can't swivel! Bah oh well. Maybe I'll pick him up, who knows. For those who wanted the BWR set, its coming to TRU for 40$. The japanese one was like 90$. So consider it a semi steal. I don't think it has the golden disc but I seriously could give a F^&* less. If I can't find my original primal's weapons perhaps I will buy it.

Geez are they that bad in your opinion? The fact that they have a stand and all the missles does it for me, I still will buy some. Not to mention it doesn't need part swapping and its smaller scale. I mean I see banprestos selling for 17$@cons and I think THOSE should be 5$ figures. These look a lot better IMHO. For 20$ I'm not expecting a mini 1/48, what I do expect is something the size of the old bandai kits but a ton more durable.

The thing I keep wondering though is if it is 26 different VF-1's or 26 toys including, but not limited to the VF-1 in the 20$ series. I hope for the latter. We need some qraus, and all. BTW I did suggest an alpha and connectable transformable beta for this line, so hopefully they take that into consideration since George Sohn said the MPC BETA probably won't come out. With the MPC all of us thought the MSRP should have been cheaper. With this line though, the price is just right.

No i agree as well! I mean seriously how long have ANY of us waited for a fully articulate fairly accurate alt mode F-15? 20 years for most of us! And shoot smokescreen the bt/alt wasn't no nissan and yet people love the bt/alt to death. It puzzles me as well.

He probably wanted more accuracy and less kibble showing in fighter mode. Maybe he didn't like the entire wing section hanging on the legs? The new design frees up the legs, had the original design been implemented, perhaps the weight of the entire assembly would weaken the ratchets and make them redundant? I dunno. Anyways to me this new design brings in some fresh air. Its still; g1 starscream to me, just "modified".

Nope I like him too! I've been waiting nearly 20 years for this, I could give a shi* less how ung1 the transformation is, all that matters to me is that... its an F-15 robot mode definitely based on the g1 design fully articulated! Everything else bla, to me its AWESOME!

The nose not being tilted like the first one are the reason for the elongated underbelly, and longer gear, I think.

I got my VF19A nearby and to me the colored line art looks a lot better in battroid mode. With fighter mode, the fact that the wings are no longer angled down and how it looks from above look great. The VF19A 1/72 toy's battroid mode kinda comes off looking like a praying mantis.

BT-18 was supposed to be Rodimus but efforts are switched to BTA now.

Apparently it is. I trhought the SU-37 would make the game to easy and I didn't want to use it as much, since I used it so much in 4 and 5.
