Transformers the Movie
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to GobotFool's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Most likely the concept art hands. If you notice, the toy actually has claws aside from the gatling guns. THe design has very very slowly warmed up to me, I look at this as a live action transformers thing outside of g1, like its own story, think armada or cybertron where the characters were not the same as g1. Still very cautious about the movie but some of the toys like Ironhide are looking good. -

Here's a question fellas. do you think the F-35B can outfight the Sea Harrier FRS2 in ACM? I wonder if the F-35 can use VIFFing techniques in ACM. -
A lot of people agree with you on the A-10, the minute the B-25 was announced, someone made a thread@gpxd asking when we would say an A-10. Admiral Toys said that the F-5 that was briefly shown then taken down on ebay was not theirs, I bet it was either BBI's or 21st century's prototype. Thing is, which one would have been the more likely company to produce it? I too would love to repaint mine in area 88 colors. Speaking of Area 88, if 21st can take the gamble to make the MIG-21(which I personally think is an ugly MIG, but then again it might slowly grow on me like the F-100 did), then there is no excuse for not making an F-8, which is arguably more popular and might draw up more sales. That I would also repaint in area 88 colors. IF an F-5 comes out, I agree with you, the E is the way to go. I'd love an F-20 but I doubt thats gonna happen....however, 1/32 might be a viable way to get those in.

The F-22 can manuever well in BFM, I think a lot of people are thinking that the JSF cannot, and in a dogfight, where stealth wouldn't matter that close in, the flanker would have the advantage. In a2a the flanker carries a lot more missles too. -

That is what they said at botcon, I hope that holds true. They said if they made Galvatron, he would be an all new mold, not a repaint of Megatron. Galvatron, Arcee, Sideswipe/Sunstreaker, Jazz, Cosmos and a few others were on the short list. -

They should just make a classic version in the $20 pricepoint, all new mold, but influenced by the original toy and comics, like they did with jetfire. -

Yea Megatron has been pretty hard to find. Mirage is awesome, Jetfire is still my fave, BUmblebee was surprisingly good, and Magnus was a pleasant surprise. -
Thanks man. Thats what I needed to hear. I planned on getting a couple of the revoltechs, but I at least need CM's Ohta labor, Ohta was my favorite character. And that toy looks pretty damn nifty, seeing that, I have no doubt CM will make a good legioss/tlead. I actually don't mind the cloth on the CM either.

Can you guys post pics of it next to a valkrie? Either VF-1-1/55, 1/60, or 1/48,I am tempted by this as I love Patlabor and loved the TV series when I was younger, and this seems to be the best toy on the market for labors.

I'd be uber pissed if it were for botcon as well. I have a feeling hasbro won't shaft us like that though, they could still make a couple more classics waves, we need a thundercracker and anime accurate astrotrain as well as the remaining 2 seekers. -

Inherent in mold. It relies on tightness to grip the tabs on the grill. The roof fairing just lies on top, there are 2 small holes that 2 pegs go into but they do so just to hold place, there is no locking going on unfortunately. -
Yamato's is probably more accurate. Hasegawa only had the TV screencaps to go from.

Actually they are reasonably bigger. Bigger than the Nu Gundam HCM pro. Do not know about the quality, yet to have handled an HCM pro.

Looks good! Thanks for the scans Graham. I'm a sucker for jet fighter anime(especially after watching the Area 88 80's OVA and reading through the first few issues of the manga) so I am very excited for this. -
Toynami Masterpiece Alphas

Awesome custom! -
Its not just the polycap that got fixed in the 2nd version, the actual toy itself is improved in many ways. For example, my DYRL Max has swing bars that do not really lock into or stay into place. This makes mid air posing in gerwalk dissapointing. I opened my TV Max VF-1J and everything is UBER tight. The backpack barely flops around in fighter mode when upside down, unlike the DYRL max. And the poly cap for the stand is so much tighter. I need to get a replacement for my DYRL busted cap. Main reason I got DYRL max is because the VF-1A has the best sculpt of the series and his valk in the beginning of DYRL looked awesome when he PWND the zentran dude in the face literally. Of course I also got it in hope of getting a FAST pack to shove onto him to recreate the scene with bliss. Very fun to pose with articulation only rivaled by the 1/48, seriously. $20 don't hurt the wallet that bad niether.

Just by $10 -
I would buy an exacto/modeling knife, modeling tape, and some kind of thinner to get the paint off. Nearly the entire thing is hard plastic, looks are very decieving since it looks like PVC even in person, but once you handle it, you can tell the difference. Think of a 1/144 bandai gundam model but more durable, thats how the 1/100 valkyrie is like.

CM's Corporation Legioss/TREAD.

I think the tlead will make up for it, that sucker's huge. I'm SOLD on it if it can combine in armo soldier mode...HELL YES. -

Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to Roger's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I think I am in the minority here but I think it might be less than $200 for the legioss/tlead set. The Legioss is going to be small like the MPC, so... then again I hope I am right. But CM has been charging uber high lately. -

Agreed. And Lynx I doubt HG can pull a C&D in japan. -
Hey at least we are paying "import" prices for an import product, I am sure no one wanted to plunk down $80 for a domestic alpha and near $200 for a tread. While the Cm's might have issues of its own I doubt they will be durability issues like the Toynami.

Hey guys its been hard digging up info on the Super Crusader. We know it was super fast and that some pilots who flew both that and the F-4B liked it over the phantom, but how manueverable was it supposed to be? Was it supposed to outfight and outturn the original crusader? It looked futuristic for its time and awesome. Now thats a plane that screams flying grim reaper all over it.
