Wave 6 -
Though the VF-1 was inspired by the F/A-18 and F-111, the VF-25 takes even more inspiration and influence from those 2 designs. Add vertical stab placement similar to the YF-19, similar nose/LERXes to the SV-51, and this plane ends up looking like a YF-23 with swing wings in a way(towards the back). I like the design. Less VF-1 similarities than the VF-0 and it looks like its a fast one. It would be interesting if it wasn't the valkyrie used a lot towards the end(what if the main character's gets trashed and he gets a new valk?). Already I am excited at Bandai making a Soulspec VF-25, or Yamato making a 1/60 one for under $100. I have a feeling this is not the only new valk we will see. Can't wait to see more of the 17.

Oh no believe me man this was not easy to find. I was hunting for it for just about 2 weeks give or take, and I decided with a hunch to go to the walmart I doubted would ever have it(the crappy one in my area, not the super ones which I expected to have it). This one is always a wreck whenever I walk in, not much space for everything and I've seen broken transformers in there. Also the past weeks I've checked it, it NEVER had it. Anyways I loathe going there but had the hunch and it turned out fruitful. After searching about 3 walmarts prior to it that day, I finally found it. One left on the shelf too. Earlier on it was said that the walmarts that moved toys the quickest would get it, this is no longer the case. The walmart I go to does not move toys as quick as the super walmarts and bigger ones closer by. With that said, in this case, its good to check ALL the walmarts near you, and even though some of them might suck and never have anything, chances are they might one of these days. Which is the exact same thing that happened to me. Also, you wouldn't believe how long it took me to find Mcquarrie Concept Boba Fett, but thats a story for another thread. My one gripe is that I can't seem to get the two cockpit halves flush with each other. There's about a 1mm gap in between them that I can't seem to correct. Me too man, I've heard it just has to do with aligning the parts more and playing with the nose section more when moving it into position. Have yet to fix it, but it doesn't bother me too much. -

I actually think the opposite, I liked Tiger Force(sadly never had any of them), but loathed most of Battle Corps. Battle Corps had some of the best vehicles, the Ghoststriker X-16 being one of the best joe jets ever, but overlooked because it was released towards the end of the line. Battle Corps started good until everyone got repainted with dayglo colors and came with an armory of weapons that everyone shared, plus missle launchers. It was overkill towards the end. I do agree about the Alley Viper, I'm one of the fans very vocal about that one and the Night Viper for the anniversary line. A tiger force Ghoststriker X-16 would be awesome, better yet a skystriker in that scheme with shark mouth. Hell yea. -
For some reason thats one of my favorite valkyries too, also the reason why I am waiting for that to come out to get a Revoltech VF-1. Looks great on the box pics, hope the revolver joints stay grey(they look better with that particular color scheme).

WOW!!!!!!! Damn, just getting MP Screamer gives me incentive to want more 1/60 Kawamori designed aircraft. If I get the 21, and if the 11B is released, I have reason to get the 19. Does the 21 have intake covers that fold in battroid or are those swappable pieces? Please tell me they are foldable and not add on. I saw a gunpod! Fast commercial, I hope I see more soon. Must be coming out soon if its that far already.

After handling Hasbro's MP Screamer, I have to say this might possibly be my favorite transformer. Very solid. Perhaps MP-03 was made of very fragile plastic, as this version does not feel fragile at all. Some of the alternators give me more scares compared to this. Alternator Smokescreen is much more difficult to transform than this. Someone compared this to Alternator Windcharger, and its a correct observation. My only dissapointments, are that some parts are not flush, however other than that, I love it. I look at it as an F-15C with 2 cannons, CFT's and thrust vectoring. This has a pleasing transformation, something some transformer toys do not have. My idea of a pleasing transformation, are the transformations of Classics Prime, alternators Sideswipe/Windcharger/Shockblast, Movie Screamer, movie Leader Prime, et al. Of the ones I mentioned, the transformation complexity is on the same level as Movie Leader Prime, who is not difficult to transform at all. The stand is great and makes it harder to lose pieces, because there is a place to store everything. For you Yamato Macross lovers, I have a 1/48 VF-1S and if you love that, you'll love this. Its awesome that Archeville can remain in the cockpit even when transformed, this is something that I did not know was possible. The flaps hold their position, the nose randome is impressive, and overall this is great for the price. Not ONCE did I ever feel like I was going to break this toy. Bring on Skywarp and Cracker Hasbro. Something tells me g1 toy color accurate MP Thundercracker would RULE. Hasbro did say those weren't out of the realm of possibility for release. Oh and please make one a Target exclusive, so its easier to find. Besides, it wouldn't surprise me if Target got one. -
Either the EML, XLAA or XMAA. From my experience, its easiest to dodge the EML and XLAA, the XMAA is harder to dodge. If you hear a distinct firing sound, it might be an EML, but you'd only be able to tell if one of the players is using the CFA-44. which is the only plane that can use it. Anyone try the Tornado GR4 w/BDSP? Nothing like taking out tank formations and retaking airfields with that weapon. Replays with that are awesome. I wish we had the ADV in this game. Sure its lacking compared to other aircraft, outclassed by many of the fighters in the game, but what it lacks in mobility it could be made up for with a weapon such as the QAAM. I think the F.3's are cleared for ASRAAM's anyways.

They mentioned at Botcon that those 2 could be possible. -
After messing with it more, the Halloween Tomcat is definitely not good online. They only give you 16XLAA to use, whereas the regular F-14D can use 40. If the armnament amounts were the same, I would not be complaining. The AC2 Falcon's stability might be to its advantage online, as the regular F-16 in the game can still rather quick. Of all the planes available on marketplace(I only have the jackocat and Scarfalcon), the ACTIVE striped F-15E would seem best for online. Also, there are some nifty players using the F-117, who know what they are doing. Heres to hoping we get "fixed" F/A-18F, Mirage, and F-16.

Decided on getting the Halloween Tomcat over the AC2 Falcon. The AC2 Falcon has no SP weapons, and thats to your disadvantage on multiplayer, so I decided to hold off. I do like AC2 a lot, so eventually I will get that falcon. In favor of stealth they shafted the Halloween Tomcat too much. I don't mind the minimal decrease in mobility and speed, but the SP weapon count is small compared to the regular Tomcat. I do like the look. Instead of Navy being printed on the sides of the engines, one side says trick, the other says treat. There is also a "sharkmouth". I'm not planning on getting the ACTIVE stripes for the Strike Eagle. For a download like that, they should have included canards and thrust vectoring engines. Still hoping the F-5 family, X-02, and XFA-27 eventually become available on marketplace.

Its confusing, at joecon they said they wouldn't do Tiger Force yet, but Flint's UPC as Tiger Force Flint is in the walmart computers. Flint is in demand since he is one of the harder figures to find from wave 1. He *might* have the wrist/crotch/elbow fix(wrist swivel moved up to sleeve, upper bicep trimmed to enable full elbow movement, hip sockets trimmed to enable full hip mobility, as shown on Doc, and possibly the new Breaker figure in the wave 2 comic packs). -
How do you ban use of certain planes? How can you tell if your plane is level 2 or 3? Also, some of the CFA-44 users are very easy to shoot down. They get too caught up trying to spam their SP weapon and forget someone is trying to take them out ASAP. Is the white F-15E the SP scheme? Anyone here get the color schemes off of marketplace aside the Scarface F-16? I am debating getting the Halloween Tomcat.

Seeing as some highly sought for exclusives here ended up much cheaper and in mass quantities in Australia, I wouldn't be surprised if you guys got this. -

I read reviews, it seems very cool. Target has a $10 off coupon in their big toybook that just came out in newspapers on sunday. It expires later this month. -

Firefly, Zartan, and Stalker are all awesome. Make sure the Firefly you pick up has the crotch fix, so he can sit. Look carefully at the paint apps on Stalker's eyes, maybe its just mine, but mine looks like he is surprised/pissed and looking down at something crawling on his shoe. The backpack on my Zartan is very hard to keep closed. Other than that, he is a very solid figure. Wave 3 has a better feel to it, more solid than previous figures. -
This true, the XMAA is a lot more manueverable than the XLAA in the game, it mentions it in the weapon descriptions, its a trade off, more range but less manueverability. SAAM is not good online. The best way to use it, is to go extremely slow, fire 2 from far away at a target in a furball, and hope he isn't paying attention. XLAA is the best for the F-14 online. SAAM and QAAM, as much as people spam the hell out of the latter, aren't that great online. The best A2A weapon I have seen online is the XMAA.
