Its definitely difficult, but too long would be a better reason. I don't mind some of the missions being long, but a lot of them taking nearly an hour to complete is too much. More missions/shorter time>less missions/longer time I rank the Tomcat schemes in the following from greatest to least: 1-F-14D Valet(Tomcat 21 scheme) 2-Jacko cat(Halloweed Tomcat from pack 1) 3-Black Knights(Emmeria scheme) 4-NFWS Fallon F-14D(regular Estovokian scheme)

Considering that we have yet to see any pics in magazines of the resin proto of the 21, and have already seen a full fledged commercial with the fully painted toy, I would not be surprised to see the 11 by april.

He didn't explicitly say why though, speaking of which, just who is Shimada Fumikane?. The Sp scheme for the Tomcat is easy to confuse if its just glanced at, the color schemes have the same colors, so its understandable why David thought it was the testbed version instead. Also, instead of a 21 on the vertical stabilizers, the SP Tomcat has 66 instead. I'm very surprised Namco chose this color scheme.

CM's Corporation Legioss/TREAD.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to Roger's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Looks great though the Armo fighter mode does look inaccurate. Still, if its durable and holds position well, I will probably pick it up. The TLEAD looks great. I only wish the article mentioned an estimated msrp. -
Parallel world story would make sense considering the many similarities between F and previous series. Interesting. Though I have a feeling the 2045 and 2059 indicate the years a certain valkyrie was in operation, though I don't know for sure. Hey more valks for us! In the screengrab there only seems to be 2 guns firing.

David, the only ace schemes I got now are the F-22 and F-14D. Oh and you were wrong by the way, its actually the Tomcat 21 scheme! I like the B/D testbed colors more, but the Tomcat 21 is a pleasant surprise! Wasn't expecting that one at all. Not once has that one ever shown up in Ace Combat, much less games in general at all. This is definitely a first. I will hunt down more aces because the regular Estovakian colors suck for the most part. The Windhover falcon seems to bleed speed while turning, even without using High-G. More mobility for a loss in stability. This plane will stall as quick as the SU-33. If it had the durability of the AC2/Scarface Falcon, & the stability of the AC2 Falcon, it would be the ULTIMATE falcon in Ace Combat. Oh and add in more mobility.

Gundam Plamodel Thread - II
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
here I thought OYW was 2.0 unofficially. Black trinary sounds good though. -
Actually David, in Campaign mode I'm still on hard difficulty. So I haven't unlocked the CFA-44 just yet. I'm trying to hunt down Valet in free mission on expert difficulty. Thanks for the tips, thats the most helpful advice I've read with regards to unlocking the SP cat yet! Haven't tried it on hard yet, but expert is difficult. On normal mode I did end up gunning down Pasternak. It was satisfying to kill him off guns only after hearing the missle alarms nonstop throughout that entire mission. That bastard shot at me while I was landing on a recaptured base to rearm! I actually don't remember how I went about in that mission. All I remember is a ton of dodging and the constant missle alert.

Curently Watching SDF Macross TV Series
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to misterryno's topic in Movies and TV Series
"We will win" did not match the melancholy mood of the battle the way that "Ai wa nageru" does. The music in Macross is matched well to the scenes. It has more impact, and is timed quite well. I've started rewatching the animeigo version. This time in its entirety and in ORDER. Currently on episode 3. I want a VF-1D more than I wanted one back when I was 3. The interpersonal relationships between the characters are great. The mayor is a prick. Global should have thrown him off the ship. I liked how Claudia and the bridge bunnies immediately called out Misa for being too uptight. The characterizations here are much better than in Robotech. Also 180 kills for Roy in the Unification wars? Damn, I knew he was an ace, but never knew he had THAT many kills! The music playing during his escort of Hikaru was great. It says "THIS guy is bad ass". It was funny how Claudia mentioned his 5 kills during a raging hangover. Heh ace in a day with alcohol. I can see why Hikaru fell for Minmei. The sequence showing her save is still one of the most impressionable I've seen. -
I like the new logo. Is the main character the pilot of the blue/white trimmed VF-25? During the sequence post transformation, they show a pissed off pilot yell and the VF-25 starts firing upwards. That did not look like the main character. Also, I haven't seen the side profile of the VF-25, but does it have horizontal stabilizers, or ventral fins on the side of the legs?

Oh man, seeing the CM's TLEAD/Legioss boxed in a set will be tempting. I hope we see it soon. I've always liked the Legioss design, and the Armosoldier w/TLEAD combination is so awesome, yet so underrated/overlooked. -
For model kits we have this guy on here called captain america. Other than that, nearly all of us play with our valkyries. Some play and display, some display, sure we are older but we want something that can be handled, not a hasegawa or something that is not made to be handled, but only converted to another form every now and then. If that were the case, the garage kits from SHE would have been in more demand than the Yamato valkyries, yet look who has the Yamatos here, and not the SHEs. With regards to F, I hope we get news of who has the license(s) soon. Then we will have a better ideas of what can realistically come out. One thing to consider, is how hard it is for any company to track down Kawamori. We know Kawamori's approval is needed for releases. Which company had the easiest time working with him? Who had the hardest? Takara is another big player to japan absent(thus far) from Macross. They also have much experience with transforming toys of collector calibre(masterpiece series, binaltech, et al), as well as being Bandai's biggest longtime rival. Their recent Masterpiece F-15 is a great design, which was designed by Kawamori. Could they be aiming for a Macross F license too? It would be interesting to see what they could come up with. Masterpiece Starscream is not a bad effort at all, for the first entry of a transforming jet in a series aimed at collectors. Though they have never had the Macross license, their expertise in transforming mecha toys, as well as them being 2nd only to Bandai, makes me think they could be a viable candidate for a license. Bring on the PV VF-25! Any company that chooses to do so. I get a VF-2SS vibe from that thing.

Well if Bandai gets a license, they HAVE to make things on par with Yamato. This isn't 94 with a bunch of kids running around and being the demographic the 1/65s were aimed at. Now, there is nowhere near as much kids. There are articles from last year and the past few months discussing how Takara and Bandai are aiming their efforts towards adults since the birth rate is so low. Yamato stopped Bandai when the 1/60 and 1/48 VF-1 came out. More collectors in japan bought the Yamato valks than the Bandai reissues, and Bandai decided not to reissue the 1/55s with the newly sculpted heads they made. I doubt they will let history repeat itself again, with them being trumped by the smaller company on the block, which is relatively new compared to them. Collectors will not settle for anything less in my opinion, the stakes are now much higher than they were back in 94 when bandai was the only one on the block. It is still possible that Yamato scores the 1/60 license, while Bandai scores something else. Bandai produces numerous product in different scales for the same anime a LOT. Gundam has a ton of lines. Evangelion already has 3 under Bandai. Wait, maybe 5. I'm not sure. It would not surprise me if Yamato just focused on the 1/60 license, while Bandai makes either SHCM or Hcmpro versions, SOULSpec, maybe SOC, then a DX line of some sort. as well as plamodels. I HOPE we get multiple companies making different toys. It hasn't been like that in years. Also, when does this show premier? I want some VF-25 goodness NOW.

So can we say for sure Bandai has the Macross toy license? If so, what scales are covered under their license? Once we find this out, we can find out if Yamato can still get a license perhaps for different scales. It would not surprise me if Yamato scored the 1/60 license, while Bandai scored a different scale Soul Spec license, perhaps 1/72, or 1/55-1/65, scales they have used before. It all boils down to the size of the VF-25. Is it bigger than the SV-51? I'd be happy if Bandai and Yamato both got seperate toy licenses. More to choose from. More to enjoy. If we get something from bandai, I want something as solid and durable as the takatoku 1/55s, but with the accuracy that we know they are capable of. Is it possible? Yes. If Yamato has a license as well, Bandai knows they will have to step up their game to have their line survive. Yamato is the reason the chunky monkey reissues never were released with the new sculpted heads. I expect either a DX valk, HCM revival, or Soulspec.
