Thats because if an artist has no grip on reality there is no way in hell his styalized interpretations will ever have merit. Its like they say, "you have to know the rules before you break them". People mention Bruce Timm but its obvious he knows his stuff, even though its very styalized. Aside the horrendous anatomy, which Liefeld is notorious for, he is not able to convey a story well through his panel, and as said earlier, he is a notorious hack. He is one of the artists that people remember for bad comics of the 90's. One of the ones who only drew pin ups and had panels as an excuse for smaller pin ups. He's one of "them" guys. The guys who drew bad, forgettable comics, and drew like almost everyone else at the time, a fad that should have died during inception but lasted for a LONG time. Just because he drew more lines doesn't mean he was better. In fact his overly rendered drawings are annoying to look at, hell amateur even. What seperates him from Jim Lee, is that Jim Lee, well is actually good. All the artists you mentioned had diverse styles but all had a sense of anatomy and storytelling. Liefeld does not belong amongst the likes of Steranko and Ditko. Of the ones you mentioned he is most comparable to Turner, but even then, Turner is better. A manga artist such as Otomo Katsushiro is a much more superior storyteller than Liefeld.

Which Pat Lee later did too. Jim Lee was behind both on Wildcats and All Star Batman & Robin, which is why both series got delayed, and Wildcats got delayed for a LONG time. For what its worth, Rob Liefeld's reboots never last long.

He's a hack. I remember years back when Wizard first pointed it out. Its not the first time its been mentioned on these boards. He copied some gundam and Bubblegum Crisis covers a while back too, and only slightly altered them. Still very obvious he copied them once placed side by side. He got accepted to do work for DC and Marvel at a time when they needed people and his stuff seemed to be new and fresh at the time to them. He might be reliable with regards to deadlines, and as much as people loathe his stuff, he still has a fanbase. That might explain why he still has jobs lined up in comics. Oh btw he also gave Pat Lee his first job. Birds of a feather...

Hasbro is already making revisions to figures to enable them to sit. Stalker is now shipping with a fixed crotch, as well as Beachhead and Firefly. All of wave 5 and beyond should be able to sit in vehicles.

It seems to me that the japanese market thrives on accuracy, more so in recent years. If this is the case, this is the reason Yamato chose to go with removable limbs, for accuracy to the anime for Guld's final attack. IF Yamato did this. Also, sooner or later, if this wasn't done, someone either on these forums or a customizer elsewhere, would have done the same thing. If removable limbs were incorporated, I hope they only come off when you want them to, not unintentionally, like the first VF-11B release, and the VF-0's.

They didn't do that withthe DX Aquarions though(yea I know of the other lines Bandai makes, but thats the most recent one I can think of with regards to cooperation b/w Bandai and Kawamori).

I usually use rudder opposite of my roll direction when in a diving rolling scissors(and my opponent is usually just turning laterally at this point). Its helped a few times. I tend to use rudder a lot aside from that too, for landing, and especially during dogfights. I got so used to it playing the Aerowings/dancing/elite series as well as Over-G. I now have 11 Battle Royale wins under my belt.

Prime also has a new, more movie accurate head, in addition to mettalic paint apps(regular one has no paint apps for the grey parts, just dull grey plastic).

If Bandai does something, it will probably be along the lines of the DX Aquarion or Soulspec, as well as HCMpro or possibly SHCMpro. Maybe even a TV realization offshoot of their Movie realization line. My bet is either the DX or Soulspec.

I completely forgot about that, that explains it. Some of my favorite parts thus far are Hikaru's first transformation of the VF-1D and consequently falling into Minmay's room, Roy saving Hikaru, and Hikaru saving Minmay in midair. The ambush from the rings(his first combat sortie) was great too.

That sounds like fun for me, I actually like using the Falcon and Mirage! Unfortunately, I have never encountered that type of battle royale. Most of the ones I have been in are 10 minute, free for alls with any plane in the 1st stage. Learned more about the Historic Wondhover Falcon. MAXIMIZE speed in that plane, always keep your speed high. If you use high g at all, it will bleed speed dramatically. Now, if you were to use high g, quickly push down on the nose to stop vertical movement, and increase the throttle output, your speed should increase again rather than quickly dwindle, after doing this(only takes a few seconds, and very quick movements), you can start turning again, continuing your tight turn. Basically that plane bleeds speed VERY FAST, and the key to keeping it stable is to constantly increase speed as soon as your high g turn is initiated, however if you continue holding high g, or turning, you bleed speed. So, turn, high g, stick to neutral, throttle up, continue turn.

Kill most, if not all the initial red targets before the timer hits 28. The F-22 Pegas scheme is nice, reminds me of the FWS F-15 Aggressors. I've noticed that battle royale is hosted and played mostly by japanese players. I rarely ever see an F-16C used, and usually its me using it(I usually use the F-14D most, followed by F-16C, then Typhoon and Rafale M).

I would stare at the galleries of toys here, Valkyrie Scramble, Valkyrie Factory, Jawjaw's site, and this is around the time Toycom announced their Macross plus valks. To be honest, I think the essence of the 1/55 led the majority of us to Macrossworld.

I'm surprised Hasbro is holding off the animated figures for 6 months from tv premiere date. That sucks. Sure the movie line is successful, but if kids want the figures they see on TV, what are they going to do? Its almost like the demand this summer for movie figures, kids wanted them, but couldn't find them. Only in this case, they can't have them either way! Still wondering what the deal is. Now if they pushed back the cartoon for a few months it makes sense. Right now it doesn't. I hear the Commander Cody SWTF is pretty nice. I've seen it once, but held off on getting it. I do want to get a few though, to accompany the Death Star Vader once I buy it. I hear that, the ARC-170 and Cody are the best SWTFs. I wanted to buy the X wing Luke but every review I have read has said its atrocious and has so much lost potential. After seeing it in person and realizing its based off of the vintage stubby X wing mold, I held off. Does anyone here actually like that figure?

As overkill as some of these gundams in 00 are, I don't think they are as bad as in Wing. A buster rifle that destroys entire formations of mecha like on the Wing 1? That was part of the reason I thought Gundam Wing was overrated. Anyways guys I am itching to get more episodes since Anonymous is still working on episode 3. The blue/white, and red/white colors of the F-20 Tigershark prototypes are great colors to base YF-19 repaints on, not to mention close to the Project SuperNova customs posted in the magazines.
