Comic packs wave 3! -
I'm not even sure how to change the other settings man, I can only change what kind of mission it is, and how many players. Its better leaving stuff like the F-22 and SU-47 out. Same with QAAM's if possible. Cheapest missle in the game. I've encountered many who use it just by locking onto you, flying, and rinse cycle and repeat. Getting a guns kill on a cocky F-22 player was AWESOME. That happened last night while I was using the Sp F-15E. I'd leave the CFA-44 in just to hunt it down, thats always fun, as the guys using it are trigger happy with the EML and usually can't fly worth a damn. I don't even have it unlocked yet, I'm in no rush as I don't have any temptation to use it online. I love hunting it down though.

12 Battle Royale wins now. Hey in Team Battle, when your team fights to a draw(happened 3 times), do they count wins for both teams on the leaderboards, or are draws completely disregarded? The most annoying battle royale I've had was with an F-2 player 1v1 who could only down me with the QAAM. One of my fav battle royales was last night, me in the F-15E Sp color and 2 F-22 players. I won that one, it was a fun match. Found out the SP F-15E is based on the JASDF Blue Impulse team colors. Looks great. Fought in a HUGE 16 player battle royale last night, man was that one crazy! The funniest match last night was one with team battle 1 and EVERYONE using A-10s. That plane stalls quick and takes a while to recover.

No one knows who made the prototype F-5 that showed up on Ebay. No news has been heard of with regards to that and the F-4. The 1/18 F-4 21st advertised at toyfair was apparently 1/32. If anyone makes the F-35 I think BBi would be the first to take it on. If anything, we can expect fan favorite planes in 1/18, but more leaning towards 1/32 now. The BBI F-4 1/32 scale has just been released and I've heard nothing but positive reviews. Admiral Toys chimed in and said if they were to make their F-4 in 1/18, it would have removable/swappable gear like that on the new 1/32 BBI F-4. Jason from Admiral Toys said the landing gear on their F-4 were the hardest pieces to engineer. Admiral Toys does have theirs designed up on CAD and ready to go pending on whether they decide to or not. After the Toyfair debacle in febuary, they have been more secretive. I can't blame them either. Even 21st, who announced their Phantom the same day, as well as a MIG-21 and B-25 soon afterwards, have not said a thing concerning those releases lately. I predict a Tomcat, Warthog and Eagle in the 1/32 before we see them in 1/18. I think we should expect more warbirds in 1/18 with jets trickling in. The F-35 will probably be made in 1/32 before 1/18. 1/18 seems to be reserved for the most popular aircraft and with a size that will fit into boxes at retail. Nonetheless I still dream of seeing a VF-1 Wolfpack early 70's high viz F-14A Tomcat with retractable landing gear.

I think there might be a few scenes were the VF-1A's flying with Roy have skulls too. It only lasts for a few seconds and the skulls were small. I wish we could have seen the VF-1D in more than 2 schemes. The thing is combat capable, its possible there were squadrons that used the 2 seater for long range CAP flights, with the backseater taking over flying while the pilot rests. Also, I think Max had more relevant scenes in his VF-1A than his 1J. His J has importance of course, because it was his personal mount and has more visual appeal, but his VF-1A is where he made the most impressions. Sure his 1A looks plain in comparison, but its important. Puzzles me why his is still not made. -
I think bandai will either go 1/55 or 1/72, but again its all dependent on how big the VF-25 really is. I do not think they will make a scale that Yamato has gone with recently(1/60). I think Bandai might try to do 1/72 either in DX or Soulspec, and follow up with an all new VF-1 toy design in 1/72. 1/72 is a popular scale, and the same scale they used for their HCM 22 years ago. If Yamato has a license I think they will stick with 1/60.

Transformer Super Thread 6

Because designs on the toys had to start by late 2005/early 2006, and the movie character designs were not finalized until possibly earlier this year. The character designs changed a LOT. In this year alone, Prime had big changes made to the months prior to movie premiere. Its not how Hasbro usually does it where they design the toys first, and the production studios base the designs off of the toys for tv/movie use. It was the other way around this time. Possibly the same reason Takara had trouble this time around too. -

Wave 5 is now confirmed sighted at retail. Not sure if all the Snake Eyes in this wave have the crotch fix, or just the later ones shipping. All 5 pack box sets will be clearanced at target after the holidays. The 3 target exclusive vehicle/figure sets will retail for $9.99. They are already in the target computer systems. -

More like had to design toys based on movie designs that were not even finished yet in order to have the toys be on shelves 1 month before the movie's release. Add onto the fact that Takara had difficulty engineering the movie toys. -

Curently Watching SDF Macross TV Series

No prob man. After watching the first few episodes, now I know why nearly all of us here want a 1/48 VF-1D. I want it because though it isn't shown much, its important, and memorable. People always know Hikaru by his VF-1J, but the D was his first valk to fly. Heck, already repaint potential with Max's Virgin Road. Its his first experience to valkyries, the one he saved Minmay in, and the one he transformed for the first time. One overlooked design that never got its due so to speak. Just noticed too, when Hikaru first signs up to Spacy, he is under Skull Team, but lacks the markings. -

What you said is true too. It was for an older audience, thats the reason why there were parts cut out from it when it was shown in Robotech. Macross 7 and Zero survived without a western audience. Depending on the legal holdup, it still might have to stay in Japan for F, but it will survive even without the western audience. Watching SDF Macross makes me want all the obscure valks in toyform. Like the dark blue one in the first episodes. The tension between Hikaru and Misa is great. The smart ass vs lady uptight. -

I am Shin, Kieth is another guy here. You're showing your age obviously, because you are so sensitive to the truth. Macross 7 did not depend on us. Macross Plus did not depend on us. Macross II did not depend on us. Macross Zero did not depend on us. Macross F will not depend on us. There isn't even a guaranteed go ahead for domestic Macross F merchandise here and yet Macross F is still being made. Regardless if we watch or not, it will still be made. Do you honestly think a company or companies would pour in several thousands of dollars into making merchandise for an audience that they cannot legally cater to? Its what we call a waste of money. There is no doubt Yamato wants to sell us stuff domestically, it would be cheaper and easier for everyone and a whole lot easier to get replacement parts. Again they cannot due to the legal hold ups between Big West and Harmony Gold. Big West did not send the cease and desist letters, that was Harmony Gold. Had Harmony Gold not confronted Toycom on one fateful day at SDCC years back, we might have gotten Macross toys domestically from Yamato. It was Harmony Gold that did not give up things, not Big West. After seeing Macross and liking it more than Robotech, I'm not going to lie here and say Robotech is just as good in my opinion, when it isn't. This is my opinion uninfluenced by what anyone else said prior. Oh and don't even label me as one of the guys who traded in his Robotech stuff for Macross, I am one of the guys who defended the MPC after it came out, and became a fan of the MPC VF-1 & I still like it now. As mentioned in my previous posts there is a lot of characterization in Macross that did not transfer over to Robotech. -

RT fans do not comprise the majority of the people buying Yamato Macross toys. The majority of them buying are Japanese Macross fans. Not us, nor the fans who like Macross and Robotech(which is in the minority). Some of us are watching Macross for the first time so we can't help but notice how much better it is. Robotech is okay, sure I grew up on it, but now as an adult, I like Macross so much more. There are also fans such as Graham who were exposed to Macross first in the 80's before Robotech. Yamato cannot legally cater to us due to the legal issues with Harmony Gold and Big West over who owns what in the west. With that said, and going by what you said, NONE of us are able to keep Yamato in business. -
I wonder how much longer until we know for sure who exactly will be making the Macross F toys.

Rob Liefeld vs The Bible
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
His art never was mature. I've seen amature work that is far superior. If you read his interviews, especially from when he first came on the scene, he doesn't seem serious about his work. More like "DUDE I LIVE IN LIKE MALIBU AND GET TO SURF AND DRAW X FORCE!!!". -

BBI 1/32 F-4J Phantom II released!
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Funny we haven't heard anything about it since their announcement at toyfair, in which the F-4 pictured in their ad was actually 1/32 scale. Nothing new has been heard about 21'st phantom and fishbed, and Admiral Toys has one designed up and ready to go in CAD but it is not planned for released just yet. New review, scroll down Sounds like an online exclusive, one etailer chimed in and was thankful he did not have to compete with the bigger retail chains on this one. -
BBI 1/32 F-4J Phantom II released!

Turns out it has swappable gear, instead of retractable. I know there are a lot of you that prefer that, I however wanted retractable gear. Nonetheless, most of the time, I usually swoosh my planes around in dogfights, so mine will be gear up primarily. More pics! -

Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 replied to JELEINEN's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Shipwreck does not have the crotch fix but I believe he was designed after the complaints came in, therefore able to sit. The Firefly you have has the fix, but the Beachhead you have does not. They do share the same mold, and the fix showed up first on Firefly and is now showing up on Beachhead. Stalker is now shipping with a fixed crotch, and since he shares the same mold as Snake Eyes, Snake Eyes from wave 5(all black), will be shipping with the crotch fix. Fixed crotch has more of a "y" shape rather than a "v"(compare your Firefly to Beachhead, its easiest to see it there). -
F-4J Phantom II! Looks to have working airbrakes, ailerons, and horizontal stabilizers. As well as provisions for add on TERS/wing fuel tanks. Weaponry is removable as well as aircrew, and has hinged canopies as well as retractable landing gear. For a mass produced item, the cockpit detail is amazing. Heres hoping they follow up with a VF-84 F-14A as well as a VF-1 Wolfpack version. Also, can't forget the VF-111 Sundowners schemes for the cat and phantom as well as the VX-4 playboy bunny.
