  1. The card art is altered on all the figures, digitally painted over, photoshopped, or edited, in some ways badly. You can tell that they were trying to cover up some of the pencil lines but missed a lot of spots. Lighting was not take into account either on some pieces.
  2. Just finished Kung Fu Dandy. Kaifun is an ass. I hate that guy. What a prick. Milia shot at Hikaru right after Misa mistakenly shot him down. She's all about getting a kill huh? She was annoyed that Hikaru was following her Qrau. He was going to crash anyways but Milia just added insult to injury. It was awesome seeing Hikaru take the initiative to hunt down Milia, albeit being unsuccessful. Oh, and I want a fanliner toy, thats one beautiful bird.
  3. Actually, Chopper got it worse than Shamrock. Seems like the only worthy DLC download this time around will be the team battle mission.
  4. Nope, God Ginrai. As much as some fans hate Masterforce, I like it. Ginrai is one of my favorite g1 Transformers, and I wish I had the Destron jet brothers.
  5. The stick and throttle work great for me, since the High-G can be enabled simply by holding down a button while moving, where as on the regular controller, you have to hold down both throttle buttons simultaneously to initiate the High-G turns. Its a great feeling using the stick and throttle, as if you have your own arcade setup, only at home instead of having to go to the mall. Thats the way I see it(reminisces about air combat 22 from the mid 90's). The planes I use online now primarily are the following: F-16C Historic Windhover, Mirage 2000, F-14D, F-15E, & Typhoon. Windhover is a challenge to fly, so its fun. There was a cocky CFA-44 guy today that kept trashtalking and spamming his EML. It was fun taking him out 4x in my Historic Windhover Falcon. *BTW, I found out that the durability on the upcoming F-22 Mobius 1 scheme from the 12/20 DLC got shafted hardcore. It may look godlike to the Ac4 fanboys, but it is the weakest F-22 so far).
  6. Hey misterryno, after panel lining your valk, does the surface still feel glossy, or smudged/dry? Looks great, but I worry that if I panel line mine, the ink that gets wiped off will ruin the gloss coat.
  7. Wave 3 release date:Febuary They did away with the raised skull on the heatshield, and it is now flat.
  8. For a repaint with a retooled head that is GREAT looking custom that increases the robot mode look tenfold. Excellent.
  9. DLC 12/20, Japan only? Hope Cypher's F-15E has the QAAM. Dissapointed its not his F-15C.
  10. Reason being that they knew Yamato was selling more than they were. Bandai knows from that experience that if they are to take on Yamato, they have to outdo them, kid stuff worked for 7 since that was 1994 and no one else had the license. 10 years later it is a completely different ball game, with collectors making up their target audience, no longer kids who could give a crap less about accuracy. Saw the heads but not the destroids. Were they all new?
  11. Cybertronian jet(possibly hover type, as the earth mode version has a hover capable V-22 inspired design). Cybertronian Megatron's alt mode is shown flying in the recent cartoon network trailer for animated. In the latest issue of Toyfare magazine. I want a classics God Ginrai.
  12. Animated Cybertronian Megatron
  13. I think Isamu was the better pilot because he did not succumb to his anger during the test flights like Guld did. Sure Guld didn't know for sure that his 21 would push Isamu's VF-11B to the ground but he sure as hell felt tempted to do so. Isamu seemed to keep his cool more often. Its obvious Isamu didn't feel the impulse to rescue Guld, but despite their past, he did so anyways. He could have just let Guld's 21 crash. Its a close match but I think Isamu was the better pilot. Nonetheless both are great pilots, and Guld's sacrificial scene slamming into the X-9 was AWESOME.
  14. EXACTLY F-14 based too. Its like how the x wing is in star wars, sure its dated, but hell its iconic. The anniversary line is full of redoes of original costumes, it makes sense to keep a new skystriker tomcat based. The way the joeclub has been describing ace and weasel leads me to believe there might be hope for us. Either a new skystriker and rattler, or the originals reissued with room for the anniversary figures to sit.
  15. Sad, he has a helmet and is all ready to go, with a patch even, and still no ride. I agree with the helmet thing though, its cool that its influenced by the original but I hope the 93 version gets its due too.
  16. It was said long ago that the VF-0 was not a mature design, whereas the SV-51 was always meant for combat use; the VF-0 being used mainly to test what was going into the VF-1. With that said, even if it did have active stealth, it might not have been mature enough by the end of the program, and too early to put into the VF-1. Even if the stealth system was made prior to the VF-1, it might have had a lot of kinks to figure out before going into operational use. If the VF-25 has some form of active stealth it would not be surprising since the YF-19 and 21 had it. This would explain why the 25 can be stealthy and have external stores as well.
  17. Forgot to mention, Kamjin is actually a likeable character. What an ass. It was funny how we got the guy that was about to be decommissioned to inadvertently fire at the SDF-1 due to him being a horrible shot. Kamjin has comedy relief and the fact that he seems more willing to risk danger to accomplish a task. Also, it was awesome how Hikaru managed to hold his own when facing Kamjin and fought to a draw(both lost their mecha's left arms). It was funny seeing the Zentraedi trio(the spies) argue over what the Miss Macross contest was about and eventually get into a fist fight.
  18. More detailed shots of the wave 3 comic pack figures! Ace Wild Weasel Note Wild Weasel's removable visor and Ace's Skystriker eagle patch. Even the joe club agrees these guys need their planes!
  19. Low vis 1 actually is low vis, where as the low vis 2 is not low vis at all, and highly inspired by the Mitsubishi F-1 camo, the plane which retired close to the release date of the low vis 2.
  20. Just finished "Miss Macross" and "Blind Game". Hikaru definitely gets better as the series progresses. I thought he was going to hold back and after the recon ship destroyed his GPB armor, but no, instead he shoots his way into the ship! Bad ass. Awesome episode. Seeing Kakizaki get owned is hilarious. I like how Hikaru counters Misa. I also thought it was hilarious that Max threw Breetai into outer space! Too bad Britai caught onto a ledge and held on.
  21. Just finished "bye bye mars" and "longest birthday". Both great episodes. Never realized Max became an ace in one day! On his first combat mission even. Hikaru kicked ass on "bye bye mars". I saw all those battle pods around him, waiting for skull 1 or others to support him, but turns out he destroys them all on his own(awesome sequence with the VF-1J turning and firing at the pods with the head lasers in different directions per angle).
  22. Same here, styrofoam seems too soft to be able to do that.
  23. J head FTW. Now we know why Alto looks feminine, and Sheryl sounds like a batty.
  24. Comic Pack Ace and Wild Weasel
  25. The YF-21 is one of my favorite fighter designs and the Qrau is my favorite enemy design from Macross. The YF-21 is influenced by both. Always liked the 21.
