  1. Hey....to me, Hikaru's 1J looks best with the FAST packs surprisingly...now that I see it, when I was younger I liked the skull1 better with FAST packs. Hehe, that one pic BOB posted should be captioned: "YEAH, YEAH?! YOU WANT MY ELINTSEEKER? TAKE THIS M$%^&*$%^&*9!" "BIN ON THAT B$%^&*es!"
  2. Actually I think this is rumored for release later this year. Don't quote me on it though.
  3. I have both of these, both broken by a neighbor we babysitted when he was young. Both bad ass. Only a few years ago I realized the Night Boomber(black skystriker), is very rare. Which makes hunting parts for it a complete bitch. From the recent rumor list, I think we have an idea of what the TRU B-wing will look like, grey and orange.
  4. No prob man. If the wife ever asks, tell her "HONEY AT LEAST ITS NOT THE USS FLAGG!~". That monstrosity of awesomeness is 7 ft long. I'm still surprised it even came out. No line, not even Star Wars, has been able to match that achievement of the gijoe line. Also, I do not regret missing the 2004 Millenium Falcon. In fact, I no longer regret missing the Kenner Star Wars figures of the late 90's. These past few years have been the best to catch up with Star Wars figures. Great sculpts, great articulation, better vehicles, reissues of classic vehicles, I feel great. Just need more EU Mandolorians and KOTOR characters! Oh speaking of which... New Rumor List! The TIE Predator....eh...I didn't like it much when I first saw it in the Legacy comic, not a big fan of the Legacy book in general. Did anyone know that Darth Krayt is
  5. Hey its not like I'll be able to get the current CM's anytime soon, I'll just do what I'm doing now, STARE AT IT! IT WILL LOOK AWESOME! Well if they did make one.
  6. Not sure, Hasbro was extremely secretive about this. It was rumored to be unveiled at toyfair, but was held back, and Hasbro was hush-hush about it. Everyone was surprised it was not shown. If their cover had not been blown a few months prior we may have seen it. A lot of things that were rumored to be unveiled were not(not just Star Wars). I am not sure if the Falcon will come with that helmet. I think it may actually be indirectly unveiling a rerelease of VOTC Luke with that helmet as a single card figure sans VOTC clamshell. Since the box is already done, I think we will see this at SDCC, then see a limited retailer exclusive release, then mass retail. Not sure. Something this big needs a lot of retailer support. Target tends to support Hasbro a lot, so it would not surprise me if they got it first. Undoubtedly this is more expensive than the ATTE. Maybe it will be released after that, since the AT-TE is the big ticket SW item this year.
  7. Comic packs Wave 4 Single packs wave 8 I heard Bludd's right elbow cannot move. SUCK.(Neither could the original's butt still). He-Man Storm Shadow. Are you kidding me. Freaking He-Man Storm Shadow. I could understand the omission of accurate gloves for the forearms, but NO PAINTED WHITE SHIRT?!. This is what he is based on. That along with Shipwreck over Cutter screams "WE ARE MILKING THE DAMN MOLDS HELL YEA, LOOK FOR CUTTER AND A MORE ACCURATE MIKE ZECK DDP STORM SHADOW IN A SINGLE CARD PACK LATER ON BECAUSE WE DECIDED TO HOLD BACK AND LET YOU GUYS BUY THIS!" Yeah we don't have to buy these, but I'd rather see something done right the first time around. Very dissapointed here. Oh and yeah I could paint the shirt myself but I shouldn't have to. That Firefly looks bad ass, Storm Shadow's weapons are AWESOME, and Duke's bandolier is neat too. Oh and Red Star still has the unfixed Duke elbows! Alright come to think of it, Storm Shadow is a mismatch of parts. First off, we have accurate v2 lower legs. Good, this means in the future we might have an accurate v2. Then, we have a backpack clearly inspired by the v2, but holds 2 swords rather than 1. Then we have the claw, we all know which version had that. The head is a v1 repaint, yet it makes no sense and looks ridiculous to have a shirtless torso then the mask...luchidore ninja? The swords are the DDP/Mike Zeck swords, and the torso gear is definitely from his design too. So we have accurate gear and swords for a Mike Zeck Storm Shadow, an accurate one, hopefully in the future. Those swords are accurate to the ones he uses now, and in his solo book, (they have cobra symbols at the ends, and he still retains these as a reminder of his past). The torso is Gung-ho's, along with the arms(which sucks, they are slightly hindered, and goodness I hate how the weapons are packaged in hand, which will lead to possibly difficulty anything else with a smaller handle). The thighs are from the Cobra trooper/officer. So for a faithful Mike Zeck Storm Shadow, we would need completely new lower legs, knees, forearms, and elbows(knees and elbows have cobra symbol pads). The head would need two parallel seam lines, rather than one down the middle. The shirt would need to be painted on. The thigh pieces from the comic pack could be used, same with the head, not completely accurate, but close enough. Also, instead of the backpack, he would need a dual crossed-sword scabbard. So as it stands, the wave 4 comic pack Storm Shadow is a design unsure of what its supposed to be. Its going in so many different directions. Its an almalgam of 2 different Storm Shadow designs, yet still missing pieces to make a complete homage. I like the Mike Zeck design a LOT, so this is why this figure is such a big deal to me. The backpack, the lower legs, along with a pouch belt, new big sleeved lower arms, and a crossbow, could net us an accurate v2. I think this is possible in the future, why else would they give the new comic pack one the v2 legs? To be honest, the new figure confuses me.
  8. With Kawamori always wanting the fighter emphasized most, the new YF-21's appearance in fighter does not surprise me, especially compared to Billy Wong's YF-21 from years back(he wasn't knowledgeable about aircraft, and it showed in his sculpts). The new 1/60 VF-1 is the first Yamato valkyrie to have a more balanced battroid look.
  9. I'm with you on both counts man. I am still planning to get a few, but mostly non armored ones.
  10. I'd play with the Legioss but its dissapointing that the wings do not lock together in armo fighter. Maybe the Shadow will be offered seperately? The Legioss is dead sexy. CMs demands a high price tag for everything they make, but for what its worth, I have heard far less complaints about their quality and durability than Yamato. I think their plan all along is to make a 1/18 Legioss, that the Ride Armor figure they released can fit into. For all of you thinking it will be huge, it really won't be that big. The VF-1 is the size of an F-16, actually smaller. The 1/18 F-16 is big, but not terribly huge like a WW2 bomber. The Legioss is much smaller than the VF-1 in all modes. So yea I don't think its outside the realm of possibility that CMs makes an orgasmicly awesome 1/18 durable assed Legioss full of win.
  11. Everyone is wondering why Grunt got the shaft in that pack, especially since he is a fan favorite. The paint apps on his face don't look right. I like how Hawk turned out, he has a "Patton-esque" vibe. Its a good stand in til the official General version comes out in wave 9. When all is said and done, I think the comic pack v1 will still be my favorite. Pretty much, though I think Grandslam's hair is facing the opposite direction of Flash's.
  12. 2-1/2 ft long, msrp last year was rumored for $149.99. Yes its legit. So far, no. The closest one is a helmet that comes in the Mara Jade/Luke comic pack, but the blast shield isn't down.
  13. Yea, I just saw how much BBTS was charging, HOLY poo!
  14. THE NEW MILLENIUM FALCON! Additional info! back of box!
  15. Yes, the black one will come with Rip-It. He is one of the HISS tank commanders and was first released in 2000. He was also killed off recently in the comic book. Its dissapointing that the HISS driver from Target lacks accessories, so does Grand Slam. Crankcase has a knife surprisingly.
  16. Do you mean for the movies? The mk3 is the red and gold armor, for figures its the super articulated base figure thats packed more than other figures in the case. There is another red and gold, the prototype, which lacks an ab joint but has swappable forearms, removable helmet and chest plate, and swappable chest units. The mk3 costume was designed by one of the recent Iron man artists.
  17. I read this from a Hisstank member who also works at Target:
  18. That and when the first vehicles hit mass retail(2 packs, VAMP, Black HISS), the price may be $14.99) I saw it in person and it does look nice, but I too, worry about the shoulders(I have desert Brawl, and the deluxe one is still tempting because its a different deco and has an armcannon). The sole reason I got mine was because I missed out on them when they were reissued at TRU 8 years ago. Previously, I had never handled the HISS 1, and got to mess with a SHARC for 1 day. I like these a lot, especially the HISS. Now for the AWE Striker, I'm not too interested.
  19. I don't have a Legioss of any kind, but the CMs is the one I want. Too bad to hear about its lack of securing mechanisms in armo fighter mode.
  20. That was a great review jenius, thanks for posting that.
  21. I tried asking for the vehicles that weren't on shelf when I went to Target(HISS), and the employees said they couldn't go in the back for something if there was already stuff on shelf. Also after I inquired about trying to find a HISS a girl who worked at target quietly told the associate helping me that they can't go in the back. It sucks because the 4/13 date is not the release or street date. They can be sold now, on shelf now, but have to be on shelf by the 13th. Its very stupid that a lot of the stores are treating it like a street date, when it isn't. Its denying a sale that could happen. The best place to look is near the checkout lanes. Thats where they are supposed to be.
  22. The paint might look sloppy because that may actually still be a resin model or testshot, I'm not even sure. It definitely is not final. I hope the micromissles are not removeable. If they are there is potential for me to lose a ton of parts. Its looking great so far, double jointed elbows, nice size, more tv animation model-like appearance, details on the armor, et al.
  23. After watching Mospeada(now 6 episodes in!), and looking at the artwork of the Legioss in the animation, it looks like CMs was definitely going more for the animated look than lineart. Thats what makes it very different than the Toynami and Imai versions. In this case I like it. Not too happy knowing it does not lock together very securely in armo fighter mode though.
  24. Excellent proposal. I'd love a definitive movie Starscream like that.
  25. Hell yea. Surprisingly enough, if a more realistic A-10 movie Transformer was made, it would be more accurate to G1 Powerglide's jet mode than the Classics version is. I hope the movie sequel line spawns a BIG Starscream with great articulation, sleek underside, retractable landing gear, and no indication that it can transform at all when in alt mode. A more accurate F-22 mode would help too. Also a Leader Prime with both gun, and sword, all new, more accurate. The toys from the sequel will most likely render the ones we like now obsolete, but hell for what we have now, the movie toys are pretty damn fun to play with. I had more fun playing with these than Cybertron and the rest of the Armada trilogy toys(truth be told, I did not like most of Armada and Energon toys, but Cybertron is cool).
