  1. Its because Shipwreck is a Navy SEAL in the current books.
  2. No. The 1/48 screamed "hey my fighter mode is great, battroid and gerwalk came after so....ignore my skinny arms my fighter mode rules!". The only other toy that has a balanced appearance proportion wise in all 3 modes other than the 1/55 is the new 1/60. It is, the 1/48 is very durable. Transformers Alternators are much more fragile and delicate. Some of those collectors such as myself still want something that has the durability of the 1/55 but the aesthetic of the 1/48. By what Graham has mentioned about the tightness of the new 1/60, I imagine its the closest thing. It doesn't seem like we need to worry about the bp8 situation on the new 1/60. The only thing I worry about is the shoulders eventually loosening up, like they did on my 1/48.
  3. Speaking of which, the only people in the know that are legit to me with regards to movie info are El Miyambe from Latino Review(the guy that broke the news of Hard Master that you linked to), and DESTRO of HissTank.
  4. You have your 1/48s, and no one is telling you to buy the new 1/60. Don't be mad us 1/60 fans finally have something to replace the old, inadequate, flawed, 1/60 VF-1.
  5. This line is perfect for destroids, like a smaller scale modern version of Takatoku's destroid conversion kit!
  6. Thing I am wondering is if the crystal skeleton mail away figure is articulated or not. If it isn't, its still a nice display piece, but it would be cool if it was articulated.
  7. Yeah I think she is a hottie, I overlooked her at first. I was worried they would pick someone too thin to play Scarlett, when I looked up close, I realized they definitely didn't do that.
  8. I thought so too, since Storm Shadow was involved, and Zartan had to make a truce with him. I actually like the power armor, we haven't seen Snake Eyes in his yet, and I hope Storm Shadow gets a set too.
  9. DDP Serpentor, Classic one is rumored for single pack released, but its been confirmed months back that a classic one was coming.
  10. The real reason is that Volkswagon will not give Hasbro the license...even when they tried a few years before the movie to get the license for an Alternator/Binaltech beetle Bumblebee, which a design was already drafted for. To me it was, I just looked at it as if it was a different continuity(which it is). Its just as far off from the original as Transformers was. BTW this isn't the right thread to discuss Speed Racer and Transformers, not even the right forum. Barely any interest in japan. I might be wrong on this but I believe the VF-2SS is more popular in foreign markets than in japan. I would. The VF-1 needs no changing for a movie, it was realistic to begin with. Transformers were designed as toys first then had cartoons came afterwards, with designs based on the toys. With Macross it was the other way around. I'd love to see Bandai make a modernized 1/55 but I also like the option of having a reissue of the classic. I don't want either or, I want both. If Transformer, Votoms, Gundam, and most other mecha fans in japan can get their reissues, why can't we? I like variety. Honestly for me Bandai need not do much. Add thigh swivels, ball joints to the legs, missle hardpoints/missles, and a way to attach the gun in fighter mode and thats it for me. It would still transform the exact same way and be just as durable, I could care less about a retracting heatshield, or hell even changes to the sculpt. Don't we all? But again I don't want one or the other, I'd like to have a new one and a reissue, so I can appreciate both. The 1/55 has aged well as a toy, much better than its counterparts from the G1 Transformers. No one can honestly tell me another jet Transformer that has stayed just as good since the 80's, other than that toy. Transformers and other anime fans have access to reissues of old merchandise, as well as brand new merchandise, why can't we?
  11. F%^&K! FINALLY!!! Hell yea! Already planned, thats why the ventral fins fold
  12. I'd love to see some 2 seat VF-0's Shin's D included, however I'd absolutely love to see a VF-0B Space Proving Wing version!
  13. Don't know if I will be getting that Bumblebee set. I am content with both my CC BB and Stealth Bumble, plus I already have Classics Bee. Is it just me, or are the windows on that Classics Bee blue now?! That might be reason for me to buy it, the new deco is impressive. For me it will all depend on how much this set will cost, I think it will be $19.99. This is great for movie Bumblebee fans, and the kids that got introduced to Bumblebee via the movie(and there are tons of them).
  14. I just read that armor seperately will be 3900 yen, and solo valks are 10290 yen.
  15. I don't think so either. Doubt it, if it were, it would have already been molded in plastic and the canopy would have been clear. This is still resin, chances are the mold is not even finished. Maybe because we haven't even seen CAD line art or anything to even indicate what was shown in the ad was final? Doubt it, too early to tell. When we see a CAD render and painted pics, then I'll agree with you. Its funny, the VF-25 plamo on display at shizuoka had thumb/finger prints on them up close. Yet everyone apparently knows that kind of detail won't make it onto the final product. Yet people also think what we see for the DX VF-25 is final.
  16. Yes the solo VF-1S is set for release not too long afterwards.
  17. Might just be the model photographed, Graham said the kite is being tampoed on the fueselage, yet on this picture nearly everything is a sticker...so I think the final will have way more tampos then we are seeing.
  18. One thing no one has mentioned is that Bandai tends to show their prototypes in much earlier stages of production in the hobby mags. Whenever we see Yamato we only see CAD, then the first test shots from the molds without added colors/paints, then final test shots. Look at the SOC prototypes, we see early sculpt/prototypes, test shots, et al. Bandai simply shows their product in more stages of production than Yamato. A lot of you are jumping the gun. See no one wants to believe that. Everyone believes its set in stone that this is what we will get and that Yamato can do better. It hasn't even been said if the photo we saw was of a prototype that has since been reworked. No one knows for sure, but already we have psychic fans who already claim to know this is the final. Resin has different tolerances, not to mention for all we know the ratchets and internal mechanisms might not even be in that sculpt pictured yet. Once we see pictures of the final product, then thats a good time to say "oh how the mighty have fallen bla bla bla", if the DX turns out to suck. I fail to see how this is even comparable to Bandai's DX Fire Valkyrie and VF-17. Its not even close. Being that Kawamori is onboard this, I doubt its going to happen, as Graham mentioned before, he is only on Macross toys for the high end versions. If he is anal on Yamato I doubt he will be anymore lenient on Bandai of all companies. I think they will, its best to wait till we see pics of the final production version. Maybe he is frowning because he wants to work on his Gundam designs instead. We haven't even seen a CAD render of the 1/60 DX yet, for all we know, this resin sculpt pictured was sculpted by hand as a rough idea, then both CAD and rough sculpt are utilized to make a new CAD render for the final. There is nothing on the new DX that screams final, its in resin of all things! If its in resin the molds might not even be done. So true. I can't believe I have been alluded to being a bandaide when I was one of the only ones here excited about the new 1/60 when most were saying it was a waste of money since the 1/48 was already out.
  19. The parts that hang off of Masterpiece Starscream's hips.
  20. Doubt it, its been asked before, even in recent years and that idea is always shot down. Me personally, I think its a great idea.
  21. Wait, but it seems like Focker and Hikaru's TV valks do!
