  1. My favorite song on the OST is "innocent green". That is one beautiful song. It has sentimental value. I love "the enemy", Ranka's rendition of "what 'bout my star", "infinity", and "don't be late".
  2. I hope we get a Jetfire toy big enough to not be riddled with underside kibble. An SR-71 alt mode with parts hanging off of the bottom will look asstastic. I worry that he won't have much screentime either.
  3. That is a surprisingly great figure, you can get him in dynamic poses, and he can hold his axe with 2 hands. Very impressed with that figure. I want that set, because its basically G1 Prime and Megatron in animated style. To me, they as characters, are not the main Prime and Megaton of the series. I was hesitant to pick up Bulkhead but ended up very glad that I did. I decided that the ball gimmick was integral to the character, and man what a figure this is! Articulation is great, transformation is impressive, and the wrecking ball gimmick is neat. Wish it shot out with more power though. The right arm gimmick is weird. Its actually one of my favorite animated figures now. I didn't like Lockdown as much as everyone else does, Ratchet is great, Black Arachnia is decent, and Starscream is awesome as I expected it to be. Transformation is neat on Starscream, it basically automorphs itself into robot mode. Looking forward to the 2 pack, Voyager Megatron, Grimlock, Lugnut, and Prime. August will be great with Leaders Bulkhead and Megatron.
  4. They've actually been able to get exclusive scoops from Hasbro and Mattel before the internet sites get wind of them, unlike Toyfare, which surprises me. The only one I've seen personally is the wave 8 battle helmet version with the MASS device crystals, haven't seen the hooded one with the fixed buckles. Python Patrol trooper has fixed crotch and what feels like fixed elbows. The figure moves way better than before. Wave 8 Snake Eyes turned out surprisingly well, and is surprisingly the one usually missing aside Major Bludd on pegs.
  5. Itching to see more of the DX, and I crave pictures of the 1/100 line.
  6. + Kibble-less, sleeker, Starscream! One thing I want, is metallic paintjobs from the getgo. If Jazz is back in a shiny solstice or new car, I want the first toy to be shiny and metallic, not have to wait for a "Premium" version towards the end of the line.
  7. Bull*poo I have a feeling thats what will happen.
  8. I do. My area isn't. All the stores are by the book in my area....which sucks for me, and it doesn't help that we don't get stuff til much later. Damn east coast man. I haven't heard a thing but I'd love to see truly "Ultimate" verions of Prime and Starscream. Masterpiece versions, whatever, those 2 deserve it. Starscream at least needs a Leader figure and kibble-less F-22. He is a plane, the best thing in the USAF so far at that, and a top character not only to old fans but movie fans. Its brand recognition, modernization, and current technology smacked into one. There is no way to go wrong. Give the sonova-bitch a Leader Class figure at least. I don't expect previous movie toy repaints unless they are exclusives. Jazz definitely needed a better toy, same with Barricade. Megatron needs a better character design(I find the toy's faults lay mainly in the character design's faults). No gimmicks that interfere with articulation(Barricade), no proportions/sculpt that hinder movement(move leader prime's calves, Jazz' calves).
  9. It probably has a slightly bigger chest, and longer heatshield.
  10. I hope so too, especially after I realized that at 1/100 scale, the VF-25 is not that small.
  11. Not sure if they would take the time to show it in the commercial. You can only see it from underneath, when the chest is flipped up, if they had done this in the commercial, it would have ruined the "flow" of the commercial so to speak. Its been labeled perfect transformation from the start, and the internal heat shield is not complex at all, so I'm sure its featured on the new 1/60. When Yamato was first touting their 1/48 way back in spring 2002, the internal heat shield was one of the biggest gimmicks it had, because no other VF-1 toy had it. Before then it was either a clip/screw on(1/55 Strike Hikaru), clip on like the HCM, or swap like the old 1/60 and 1/55 reissues.
  12. I agree with what David said: For example look at the current Indiana Jones line. We do have figures from the new movie, but we also have figures from the old movie, in the same packaging, just different inserts denoting which movie they are form. Instead, look for what is being done on waves 8 and beyond; something to denote "from the cartoon" or "from the movie" or "from RAH era". I honestly don't see classic stuff going away especially when next year is the year we can see the big stuff happening, like bigger vehicles that we keep begging for, and the like. For me its all dependent on if it works well in the movie. I'm a fan of armor, so long as movement isn't hindered(which made all the armored Star Brigade figures suck!) I think we will all have nothing to worry about. See thats one of the biggest questions on my mind as well. Its been noted that this is indeed a collector's line, but just how many collectors were buying it as opposed to scalpers? Now I do ask that because more often than not, many of our fellow collectors have had to resort to ebay or to scalpermeets to get figures. Now sure, if you are a collector and want to sell on ebay no one is going to call you a scalper, but there are definitely genuine scalpers preying on this line. In the end, I want to know whats really going on; are most of these figures being bought by collectors so quickly that demand supply cannot be replenished, or are retailers just wary of ordering sufficient amounts because the movie and cartoon isn't currently on yet?
  13. From what I understand the series was going to end abruptly had it not been extended. It was extended to bring a definite conclusion to the series, and to tie up all loose ends.
  14. For me its simple. Its the general look and features of the bird. What do the VF-1, VF-0, and VF-25 have? Swing wings, no horizontal stabilizers, has ventral fins, and vertical stabilizers. Even the VF-11, aside from the fact that it has canards. The VF-27 looks closer to the SV-51 to me since not only is it purple, but its canards are swept forward, and along the spine of the aircraft like the 51, not to mention it has a thin, long rifle.
  15. Thats because thats an old photo of an old test shot. The one with the coating is a production toy.
  16. It is significantly bigger though. I understand how you feel though, most releases have been fairly expensive lately. I'd love to see Destroids, and the Guyver Bio Booster Armors handled in this line.
  17. Wow, it looks huge. I like the cloth coverings
  18. He usually gets stuff early, I think he orders via ebay from China. Not completely sure though. Its a benefit to us that he didn't clear out a store in the process. I got wave 8 Baroness and the leg broke at the knee joint. Its a clean break, but breakage shouldn't happen, and a customer shouldn't have to fix their toys. Nonetheless, it should be easy to repair. I got the version with the fixed crotch and she sits much better than the v1 Baroness. Watch out for the Baroness figures in this wave, some have diaper crotch, some have fixed crotch. I swapped the head and backpack from the v1 onto my wave 8 version and both look better because of it. Now just to repair the damn thing.
  19. Watch out Zentrans, Focker is on a rampage! I think its meant to replicate the holographic HUD display that the DYRL VF-1's had.
  20. 2 seaters were announced from the get go. I knew this toy would be one of the sleeper hits of Yamato releases this year.
