Is the base lighter compared to the original one? And has the quality of the rods dropped as well?
-
That'll be great if you can post a picture of the shoulder pin of that CF of yours or confirm it. As long it has the smooth pins and hopefully not causing any cracks PLUS no throwing at the wall i'm sure that CF will last for a while
-
Hi guys, I see many new models having the shoulder / hinge cracks for this 1/60 VF 1 v2 toyline. Hikaru 1A and 1S, Roy Fokker, VT as well. Was wondering if the 1/60 VF-1J CF also has this problem or any reported case for this toy?

Thanks mate , too bad there aren't any photos of the version 2 flexi display stands on Laftoys.
-
Where can i find that display stand?

Thanks guys, i managed to turn the wheel now. Also got the other landing bay door open and that one wasn't as tight as the other wheel. After checking out the review photos i knew which direction to turn but boy was i nervous when i was already using some extra force and still couldn't turn it.

I just got my YF 21 and i'm already having issues with one of the landing gear on the wing side. I manage to pull wheel out but can't turn it around like this photo here from the review. http://macrossworld.com/macross/toys/YF-21/42.JPG It's really stuck and i'm afraid to break it if i use too much force. Anyone have problems like this? The other tap is stuck so i couldn't pull the other wheel out yet.

I prefer the glossy paint job one though, but still this is one heck of a toy. I'm still thinking whether i should get this one or not. -
It's about time u took action

And that is why maximiria thinks the D-Stance is superior to the Yamato design. Maximiria, look i totally agree that the legs are less thick (i wouldn't call it muscular) compared to the anime/lineart and that is a bit dissapointing but if you compare these two designs, the Yamato one is the clear winner. Since you like to talk about perfection of the older models, i can tell you this there can never be a perfect transforming toy for the YF-21. Look at the lineart of the battroid mode, the length of the fuselage is quite short compared with the length of the legs while if you look at the toys it's almost the same length as the legs. This is not a design flaw at all, because in fighter mode (lineart and toys) the fuselage is almost identical (Yamato design ofcourse, the D-Stance looks like crap to me) It's obvious that you can draw a sleek fighter/battroid for the lineart and anime but when it comes to making a toy it's a totally different story. The only solution is to create a seperate toy for each mode (not transformable) if you want pure perfection for each mode. I hope you have talent enough to make them yourself

Nice photos indeed. The paint job is well done, love the color. The 2 laser beam guns mounted in the lower arms is hidden though, i hope it can be pulled out a bit. Plus the blue color used around the cockpit area seems to be darker than the rest of the area. Damn i'm drooling already If you watch ova 4 at 07:27 you can see 2 hatches opening showing the 2 gun pods, would be wicked if this can be done in the fastpack.
-
Don't like it but just for the sake of the collection gonna get one....... Go get yourself a toy you really like then
-
like this , the eye stay as it is
-
well i've been checking the ova 1,2 & 4 and i don't see any red on those triangles.
-
Wrong it is supposed to be yellow, see ova 1 at 27:10 , 29:56, 30:14 etc... The previous YF 21 toys did paint those triangles red.
-
It would be awesome if the limbs can be detached, taking the fighter to the edge
-
The older models didn't have this "design flaw" http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/s...terrearview.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/s...dersideview.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/3.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/y...hterventral.jpg Also checked the ova 4 just now and around 13:52 you can see the feet aren't visible. Anyway this toy is too cool to pass it
-
thanks, i can see it clearly now
-
can someone point it out where the feet is visible in fighter mode?
-
Did you guys notice the head laser is off the center on Graham's pics? http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/Y...view/head_3.jpg http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/Y...close_up_13.jpg Do you also have this on your toy?
-
If Yamato is gonna release a version 2 of this toy is it gonna be a white model again or are they gonna paint it blue just like the 1/72 YF19 version 2 ?
-
Yeah who wouldn't regret a little bit if you had to pay that much just to receive a toy with some annoying flaws. The only thing that is not like the original anime is the color, this model is white. But it does look really nice and it's tough to decide whether to leave it in battroid or fighter mode, make you wish you own 2 of them.
-
After reading Graham's review and the opinions of you guys who got the 19 with the same QC problems, i still have to wonder if it's worth it to order. It's a lot of money and it's not even perfect which is a shame. Does anyone know if Yamato is gonna make a version 2 of this model ?

I mean about the price drop you mentioned Jenius.
