I am more worry about the shipping cost of the Monster. It don't have slimmer shuttle mode like the Konig Monster so the box is gona be much thicker.

Same pics, original source: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/blog/160114 "ファイター形態とバトロイド形態を組み合わせてガウィーク形態も再現できるようになっています" i.e. Gerwalk mode need to combine fighter and battroid mode model, just like the wave models.

Here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41926&p=1227602 It came with another adaptor for armored mode and the whole thing is not too heavy for those stands.

I'm upset that we don't have any better spy photo of the VF-4 and VF-2SS, and the slow release schedule means it will take forever to get there, if Bandai don't retire the line over one or two bad release first.
-
Why choose 35 instead of 60? License aside, I think the reason is the Yamato v2 are already very good, Bandai cannot make a version that is good enough for most Macross fans (us) to re-buy them. Same for 48. Go big and they can have new features. But there have been many vapor wares from Bandai shows we may never see this or the SDF anyway.

I can be the only that is interested by the multi-angle display stand.

It's hard without normal horizontal stabilizer.

Welcome aboard! QC is good other than some joints and tabs are too tight. Since you are new and this thing is quite complicated, you should watch the 1st video as you first transform it, and the 2nd or 3rd for the super pack installation.

VF-1J in stock http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOGDS-139741

I recall that people here say Yamato VF-17 and Bandai VF-171 are both designed by the T-REXTOYS team, although their site only listed older stuff they designed for Yamato. In fact the VF-171 was an older design and the VF-17 was an improved version with simpler mechanic.

Yes it was not hard to order, only bad mid night timing for us on East coast. I doubt scalper is a big factor - DX YF-29B still have a 30% off on CD Japan, and the hi-metal VF-1J was not hard to get on release and it took CD Japan a few days to sell 30 units. Now that Bandai have shown us they can read Zentradi alphabet, I wonder if the missile Regulds will be sold as stand alone unit since they have different Zentradi markings too.

Even Robot Spirits price are trending upward. Do the Strike Noir have 2000 yen worth of parts over Perfect Strike? Side AB are going even higher and reaching 8000 yen. I think any minor units will have high price to compensate for expected lower total sale, or just go web limited.

The difference is about $40 to Canada, and they only allow the registered SAL option so it is trackable and insured. The chance of a package getting taxed (15% + $5 fee) by our custom is also around 10% with SAL v.s. 95% with EMS.

After I emailed them, CDjapan checked the size and allows SAL on YF-29B now.

6800 yen + tax = 7344 yen. More expensive than I expected but it is also quite big.
-
I would have ordered if not for the crazy postal cost they want to charge now. The VF-19 Advance have a 2x bigger box and they let me pre-order it with SAL registered, but not allowing this one is BS.

source For those unfamiliar with Gimix series: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=102&cat=plamo&sold=0&state=0&sortid=0&target=series&searchkey=Gimix&spage=2 The released ones have been mostly 1:144 scale small airplane models. They have pre-painted pieces, are easy to put together and quite expensive, closer to 1:144 airplane trading toys from F-toys than traditional model. I guess this series will be similar to the old F-toys 1:144 Macross toy/model, but really surprised to see more than fighter mode.

You are teasing new adapters, right?
-
Yes it need to be removed, you can see the manual here: http://toho.seesaa.net/archives/20150912-1.html

It will depends on the price. The base unit probably cost 5500 yen (my best guess), but may require 7000 yen with one extra set of missiles. I expect/hope for a 3000 yen missile pack that come with small and big missiles.

VF-1J "missile wing (left and right)" from http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10324464 VF-1S "missile wing (left and right), a small wing × 1" from http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10334507 So the short wings is actually a single piece.

The shoulder ball joints are plastic in my old version VF-1S, but are metal in the new one. The intake covers are flat gray in old, looks metallic in new.
