Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
CF18 replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
My first reaction was like yours too. Sometime they really confuse us with the scale. For example in episode 4: http://randomc.animeblogger.net/image/Macr...0Large%2024.jpg http://randomc.animeblogger.net/image/Macr...0Large%2028.jpg So now which episode was right? -
Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
CF18 replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
No the size looks alright if they are both the same scale. The Red Vajra is not much larger than VF-25. -

Macross Frontier Episode 6 Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
CF18 replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
I think they allow the recon to immediately jump back should they run into trouble. Assuming the fold booster can be used multiple time it still take time to charge them. As for animation, the only problem is a few character drawings and it was worst in the last few minutes of episode 4. -
Hay don't forget the only destroid Hikaru used to kick some ass!

Chance for 2 seaters is still unknown. These 2 VF-1A are just repaint. ELINT and ostrich have big chunks of special plastic that Bandai need to restore or rebuild the molds.

Bug: At 5:33-5:35, the arms were blasted off. At 6:26, right arm reappeared. At 6:50, left arm reappeared. At 8:44, arms are gone. Otherwise nice ep, very "macross". -

http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/zero/octos.htm It would be at least interesting since it is a rather unique design.

Another way to look at it is we should count Bandai's focus on Gundam as a blessing for Macross universe. If Bandai gave up Gundam and bought full right of the Macross brand we would have weird thing like G Gundam or failure like Gundam X under Macross brand. Well may be a kung-fu destroid base on Spartan is not that bad...

Repent! Kawamori-sama is not some lowly otaku! He is the Macross messiah, converting a bunch of Gun-ota using his god-like Lego skill!

Good reason Vifam7. TV anime are great toy ads for kid. OVA were made to sell video. I am sure Bandai had considered making toy for M+, but they probably would just modify their VF-19 toy and that would be rather pointless for us. Bandai re-issue chunky monkey instead of making new one make sense for them. The old one is still a great toy, and it is far cheaper to just make old one that still sell instead of new one. And unlike most other mecha, engineer a transforming toy is more expensive. I guess Yamato made quite a gamble to make a transforming toy as their first product in an unproven market.
