Tokyo Toy Show display this week: http://ga.sbcr.jp/mreport/010308/ -
At Tokyo Toy Show. There is a Strike 1S at the back. A few more pics: http://ga.sbcr.jp/mreport/010309/

Source: http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/2008/06/hm0003.html More pics: http://ga.sbcr.jp/mreport/010310/ So the price is Yen 12600 (should means Y12000+5% tax). Do they still plan to come with armour/fast packs? Given the large size and price I guess they will be separate items.

4M PNG of VF-25S Full Armour It is a cleaned up image from the mag scan here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?s=&a...st&p=575806 I tried to correct the distortion of the right most part, but not very successful. I guess someone here can make some good wallpapers out of it.

GNU is perfect for Destroids. But of course that would kill the sale of the 1:60.

Another related hint: After going over the VF-27 analysis, the confidential message send to Leon came from "G". -

So they can build a perfectly functional UH-60 for the film, but can't build a VF-0 but use the VF-25 to fake it huh? I bet they use VF-25 again to fake SV-51 too. They must be using a VF-25 with 2 seats for some of the scenes, right? The beast was said to be made in Eden according to that man with female voice. Did we see anything like that in Plus? -
Just in time... http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-65580-1-1.html http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-65576-1-1.html VF-0S will have an reissue this month, along with 1:48 VF-1J M&M.

These are way smaller. Should be about 1/3 height of a Revoltech.

Lunar's releases are quite good. All the songs are translated, which made some scenes rather busy with text, and I am sure my old P4 box cannot handle those scenes. One extra thing they do is they use a filter to reduce the semi-transparent TV station logo on the upper right. My only complain is they use "Galactic Nymph" instead of "Galactic Fairy".

You need the calibration. The VF-27 is obviously purple. Beside even if it has other colour "purple 1" is just a call sign. -

It is very similar to the VF-25 - the "crotch", the beam guns on the side of the legs, the way those wings fold behind the body. The part with Mikhail in battroid teasing Klan Klan is really amazing. The only odd part is their size. Reference: http://www.new-un-spacy.com/scalecharts/sizechart-1.gif VF-1 is already a good bit taller than a zentradi, so the VF-25 should almost twice as tall. -
Something new on the blog of Bandai's Tamashii web: http://tamashii.jp-network.co.jp/staff_dia...y.php?eid=00051 Don't seems to say anything relevent.

Oh yeah out in HK: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-64656-1-1.html -
Most likely the first set - 200 yen each from a capsule machine, hence 2000 yen for a box of 10 random pieces.
-
See 1st post for new set.

The external canopy hinge remines me of the external hinges on the SOC Gunbuster shoulder flaps. They are bigger and more obvious on the Gunbuster, but the toy is still rated as one of the best SOC. The SOC Gunbuster is also not known to be "accurate". It got tons of extra weapons that are non-canon but appeared on the Gunbuster in SRW video games. May be we are just expecting too much. Yamato has been doing model+toy 2 in 1. Bandai have separate departments for toy and model, so the DX toy and 1:72 models are handled by different teams with different focus. We are not likely to get the best of both world in one package - i.e. high accuracy model v.s. durable toy.

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
CF18 replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Weird... Bandai has been doing simple sci-fi models for like 30 years, and each generation get easier to build and more pre-painted, and somehow people would expect they would do Tamiya/Hasegawa style for Macross F? -
Bandai is showing the Hikaru VF-1A at Shizuoka Hobby Show too. Notice the skull logo on the fast pack. Source: http://patrickmacias.blogs.com/er/2008/05/...nd-death-i.html

My first reaction was like yours too. Sometime they really confuse us with the scale. For example in episode 4: http://randomc.animeblogger.net/image/Macr...0Large%2024.jpg http://randomc.animeblogger.net/image/Macr...0Large%2028.jpg So now which episode was right?
