I was going to suggest JYSK Jaala as an alternative but it seems to be just discontinued, and JYSK is not available everywhere like Ikea. Good to know that Ikea KLINGSBO is great fit for 1:60 without stand. Can it be dust proofed like a Detolf?

Yes the mark. It came like that out of the box, not from any scratches. It's a bit rough on touch, probably a thin and dry layer of spilled glue.

NY also have limit VF-31J for 30,000 yen. And what's up with the VF-31 super pack price? Already costing as much as the main unit.

More here The main shelf is a Ikea VITTSJÖ. It's 3 inches wider than DETOLF and is a open shelf so the wings and noses and stick out and I can put tons of valks on each floor. But of course dust is a big problem.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: VF-31S is a regular retail release, and is expected to be listed on Japanese web stores for pre-order at Match 1st 4pm JST, along with other Bandai July releases. Many past Macross releases that were popular would get the pre-order quota cleared out within a minute of being listed. Similar thing happened with other popular release like Metal Build Gundams. Some shop like NY may list it at a later time.

My destroids are still waiting for their brothers.

The closest comparison should be the most recent Bandai release - the 1:72 models. This one get a similar hinge below the leg air intakes but the leg proportions are much better. The legs were really awkward on the 1:72.

Shipping from 1st world countries are generally quite expensive, with Japan being an exception with more reasonable pricing and have many options to choose. Even before the Canadian dollar drop I normally don't order anything from USA due to high shipping cost.
