The biggest fallout with the VF-31A issue is now some bigger Tamashii shop limited releases are much harder to order from proxy shops, since Bandai seems to now enforce their per-person limit strictly. E.g. Metal Build FMP M9 was much hard to order than most Macross DX regular releases.

I doubt the stands are required. The VF-19 Advance have two arms and I currently don't need them, the wing hinges still strong enough for most angles. OTOH I add support arms to my VF-25 armor or tornado in B mode, since there is just too much weight on the two wing hinges.

Got mine from HLJ, no antenna problem. Leg vertical wings don't stay on well like other reported. Transform was OK, since I practiced with the Advanced. Hip ball join was scary tight. Put some missiles on the 31s to see how they look.

So watching all the reviews, my only disappointment is that the unit only come with 8 missile mounting pieces, so you get all those missiles but not enough pieces to mount them on the VF-31s and VF-171s.

If they get too accurate they can very least get banned from shows like ACGHK or HKTDC when the official licensee like Kidz Concept complain.

That's a knock-off, hence you will not see it on BBTS. I don't know what to say if you cannot tell the difference between 3P and KO.

Then they get sued by BigWest or HG. All the legal 3rd transformers are just similar looking thing with different name.

Works fine with the old Hi-metal not-R VF-1S. For sending me 000 instead of 001, I just asked them to send the cannon and shield parts and they promise to send them soon.

It has been a long wait - originally set for Dec 2017, it got pushed to Mar and then Aug 2018. To make it worst the Riobot Mospeada was in the same order (which also delayed from Jan to April) so both finally arrived. Quality is OK other than the joint problem below. The legs were hard to extend at first and was quite scary. I wish the white part of the arms latch tighter with the body in bike mode. The joints are tight, but one overly tight joint lead to loose joint: Joint A somehow became super tight after I lift the arm side way for the first time. After some man-handling to the arm back down, joint B became very loose and can't hold the arm up in most angles. Only the left arm have this problem, the right arm is fine. Adding sewing string into the joint B kind of fixed the issue. -

Well the market certainly changed a lot in last decade and Bandai had to change too. Their toys were usually kid friendly and we see those in their old VF-19 and DXv1 VF-25. But the market were already shifted to deep pocket adult collectors by then and Bandai were slow to react. They tried to draw new young kids with Gundam Age but that toy line failed big time. Macross license were also known to to be expensive and Bandai preferred to avoid making things that they don't own. Now they are going big with Star Wars and Marvel stuff, which no doubt have very high license cost.

The double hinged nose cone probably can fold to the back for GBP armor, instead of needing removal like the Hi-Metal R.
