  1. The butt and leg cover are neat. But why do it follow the hi-metal (1/55) tradition and refuse to carry the gun in fighter mode?
  2. March 2010, not October. http://p-bandai.jp/tamashiiwebshouten/item-1000004067/ I am just worry about the König Monster - we haven't heard or see any thing about it since last August.

  4. Yeah, reissue of this: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10048004
  5. I just remembered the fast packs on the VF-11B also have a fairly visible sprue mark on the left side. (original image at http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/yamato/vf11b/02.html ) I am sure they are cut at the factory, not just ripped off the tree since it would look even worst. The cannon also has a round surface and make it harder to cut cleanly. If you have built some gundam models unpainted you would also notice that it is impossible to make clean cut on large pieces since the sprue point will be larger to allow better injection of melted plastic into the mold. I would agree that at the price level they charge they could have done a better job with the mold to hide the sprue mark at hidden surface. But we are not going to get pro-modeler level of careful cutting, sanding and painting at that price. And with extra treatment they are still toys with screw holes all over them. Even the weathered version have this problem. Just look at the calves part on the 3rd pic: http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00122
  6. Probably all units have them, just not very visible on the standard version. Here you can see them on the cannon and back of calves in the first two pics. http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/yamato/60dest...estroidtom.html They are standard on most toys so you don't see complains. The 1:60 VF-1 hide them very well. For example on the hand held gun you can find the sprue cut under it and I believe they either got painted over with matching color, or the cut is so sharp they don't show the stress mark (which is where the white come from). On my Max VF-1J the marks under the wing-mounted missile box have more visible sprue mark under them. Your best bet is try to paint the white spots with matching color.
  7. First release info: VF-1J/A Valkyrie `Vermilion Squadron' 3800 yen, late February. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10107282 http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/iam-cybergundam/article?mid=39646
  8. At least they fixed that in the latest photos: http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html IMO the biggest flaw is the oversize engine intake block.
  9. The unassembled kit is a Yamato online shop exclusive, but they made a deal with HLJ so HLJ can carry some of the exclusives. http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00185 If you live outside Japan HLJ will have the best deal.
  10. Full transformation sequence. Source: http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/2010/01/tp0295.html Pre-zoomed: http://www.toy-world.com.hk/forum/viewthre...%3D1&page=2
  11. Keep checking Overdrive-inc and Toy Logic. Both have sold similar items before at reasonable price. E.g. http://www.over-drive-inc.com/shop/figure-...ier-c-1_11.html http://www.toyslogic.com/index.php?main_pa...products_type=1
  12. I never have that happen before. When they need to cancel part of an order they emailed me about it first, but some of their mail did ended up in the spam folder of my gmail account.

  14. New scan. VF-1: part swapping with landing gear, heat shield and extended gun.
  15. I think the current standard for Bandai and Yamato is green-back for stickers and blue-back for decals.

  18. How much are you willing to pay for an 1:24 VF-1 extreme edition?

    HLJ Yamato sale

It is the only item I ordered, and my preference is set to SAL. The box size is small enough and the sale probably make the item price lower than their internal price threshold for EMS only shipping. I didn't send any mail to them about it.

    HLJ Yamato sale

Probably EMS v.s. SAL. They shipped my VF-11B via SAL even the item page say EMS only.
  21. Resell value of a Yamato? WTF? See this? There is no resell value of Yamato toys until the company disappear.
  22. So you guys really want to pay again for V2.5? I would rather get some add-on packs and decal. New suggestion - how about missile launch effect part like those on the limited GBP pack for the fast pack and missile pods?
  23. Water slide decal! For other 1:60 also! The sticks are really poor for the small text. Put a "no step" sticker on a YF-21 and you will see the ugly sticker edge instead of the text.

    SCOOP thread!

Box art error - they just take the Roy box and replace all yellow with red. Extremely lazy.

    HLJ Yamato sale

Just noticed 1/200 set#1 at 70% off. I think they were not listed on the sale page until today. http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00077 Did anyone ordered any GNUs?
