Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
CF18 replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
Just to make a wider A stance, looks fragile. Also the back packs of fast/strike pack looks really small, for weight balance in B mode? -
++ on those if they want to me buy more VF-1 at 1:48 or 1:60 the articulation need to be significantly improved. 1:48 already had very limited waist joint. If the nosecone can move forward in battroid mode it would also solve the problem with the wings restricting the movement of the legs. The shoulder joints need to be able to pint the arms to 90 degree to the side, and not restricted by the wings in gerwalk mode.

Meh on the SDF-1. Sure it looks nice, but with some many hand modified pieces it is more of a scratch build model.

He did change the item status to "shipped". Couldn't really do anything but wait and hope for the best. I mean you do catch good deals on eBay sometime.

I had purchased from one of those "1000% GENUINE" account before. It was an out of production robot spirits figure that typically goes for $200+ and it was listed for $40 free shipping. So I payed and of course nothing came after three weeks. The account messaged me and already offered full refund in the second message, but no admission of never actually shipped the damn thing of course. I just took the refund. I think some time later it was listed by one of those accounts at market price.

Just saw it listed: http://www.hlj.com/product/MTBMB-23 http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-3111&page=top Previous discussion: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36352 Similar Macross product from that lines were all convention only limited release. The company also has a "MB Gokin" metal toy line released with co-operation with Yamato, for example, but no hint of if the toy line will include Macross.

Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann

It's not hard for Bandai, seeing they have been putting different shades of white and gray on all over those RG sets just because they can. HG vs RG example. -

Let's talk about which one to avoid: First avoid the 1:60 version 1, see packaging here. Next read the version 2 review and pay attention to this list. Now do you want the 1:48? The 1:48 VF-1S (movie) were reissued last year so it is still relatively easy to find at reasonable price ($200). The problem is the matching fast/strike pack is very hard to find now. For 1:60 version 2, both VF-1J and VF-1S (movie) were recently reissued so go for those, going for about $150 each. If you prefer the GBP armor, get the VF-1J, otherwise get the VF-1S. The matching fast/strike pack is easy to get ($100).

It actually works quite well this way. They clamp on securely without being stressed. Cavaliers would have the best colour match. But to put VF-1 missiles on VF-171, the peg need to thinner/removed and the clamps need to be thinner.

Yeah base on the Lego prototype video, the arms are on the side of the leg in fighter mode like YF-21 and Sv-51. It also mean there is no part reuse unlike between VF-25 and YF-29.

You may need many, since most of our preferred shops are having year end vacation around the next few days.

And I was just looking at those last night at 600 yen, and think may be I should get some with my next shipment. Another piece that may be good for Macross fans: http://www.hlj.com/product/HBM38498 I can't add more than 1 to my shopping cart though.

Just got mine. Do any one else found some the joints too tights? On my unit the frictional part of both elbows are extremely tight, compare to the other 5 1:60v2s I have including the 30th VF-1J reissue.

Gamu toys review: http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/gouki/dx24/dx2401.html http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/gouki/dx24/dx2402.html Hmm still no super pack or tornado pack announcement. They normally announce those a few days before the main toy hit the street.

Only the unpainted VF-1D, VF-4 and 1:2000 micro VF-1 has the red "やまとWEB限定販売商品" text on them, so all the other listed items are regular release.

I can see VF-2SS as possible, and VF-0 v2 plus SDF-1 TV as remotely possible. How about branching off to other things? They can do a much better Legioss than the other 2 recent offers, but I think the world has enough Legioss for now. Brave Gokin showed a Orguss prototype 3 years ago and then absolutely nothing, so may be Yamato can take a crack at it.

The TV version should be harder to find, at least it was the first one that become discontinued in online stores. I got my DYRL set from HLJ at 30% off back at May 2011, when the TV set was already listed as discontinued.
