False. They can do way more than the launch arm stand or those from Bandai VF-25.

They are showing a dark green version and a dark brown version in magazine, but only listed a dark brown version for pre-order. Is there going to be two versions?

anime-export 31280 (must pay in advance) http://www.anime-export.com/product/22062 CD Japan 33120 (get 3% 993 points) http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOGDS-124116

Yeah amiami price has been funny - 31400 is 85.326% of 36800. If it is like the Arcadia YF-19, HLJ would have 10% off listed and the Black Friday special would add another 10% off that price, making it 19% off. I haven't seen any better price for the YF-19 listed.

Still available on CDJapan, and if you count the award points the final price is competitive. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOGDS-111209

Probably can't transform.

No idea if these two are reliable shops. http://chimungmung.com/product_info.php?products_id=2056 http://www.robotkingdom.com/pre-order-by-month/october-2014/mmsdf1.html

So would any 3rd party consider making VF-1 Joke Machine reneweal, please? Same rolling cockpit, better paint job, gun mount in fighter mode and ball joints on legs? May be $60 each? Bandai already killed their SD DX line so there is no competition from there.

Has there been any offical-ish drawing or screen shot of any YF-30 add-on?

One way to mount the gun with the missiles box deployed - keep one of the hands uncovered and grab the handle from the other side. Only the rubber gun hand work, and it is a bit of a tight fit.

License issue aside, how about their build quality? Even Yamato had many quality problems with VF-0 and early VF-1 v2, but we can expect Bandai and Arcadia figures to at least fit together properly. The only non-Makuros 3rd party toy I took a look at is the Voltron Vehicle Force, Miracle Metal Works MA-01. It was from a new company in Hong Kong and is licensed with HG. It looks great but have many problems with fitting, paint and design issues. The store linked is suppose to be selling version 3 now with improved parts. How well are those 3rd party TFs made? Are they comparable to Takara Master Pieces?
-
Makuros SDF-1! That's one way get around licensing I suppose? I expect H-Gold will still send C&D letter anyway.

From what I can remember - the show is more light-hearted at the beginning, with a few nude scenes. It got slow and repetitive in the middle - you will see lots of reused animation of Ishkick and Nikick jumping around. IMO better than Southern cross and about equal to Mospeada.

New image. Fighter mode cockpit looks rather undersized.

For the Tornado wing-to-leg plug, I just put a flathead screw driver into the gap and slowly rotate it to loosen it up. There is a little risk of scratching but no risk of breaking. Thanks, I can use that to fix my V.1 VF-25S (and some Lego pieces). Which type of welder do you recommend for Bandai valks?

Finally opened mine today, and I have a few issues: 1) Stupidly small and loose fighter mode gun mount that everyone talked about. 2) You must remove the big back piece before transforming to or from battroid mode, due to the head laser going under it. Good thing it don't have alternate hard plastic lasers like the VF-25A, or I would have broken them. 3) Fighter mode is so tail heavy that it don't stay on the stand securely. I doubt it work well with the alternate stand in that mode. 4) Big engine piece connect to the big wing piece very securely, but I worry about strength required for removal could break it. P.S. After removing the V.1 Ozma Armoured from the shelf and found it's chest hinges broken - probably due to all the armour weights on them in B mode and just sitting there for two years - I'm not putting these heavy V.2 pieces in B mode without additional support.

Surprised to see the double-hinged outer wing can still hold the heaviest missile. Another review from Japan: http://blog.livedoor.jp/hacchaka/archives/51925834.html

CD Japan is just a regular store (at least with toys), never saw any second hand or marked up item there. It's anime-export that is a mix of regular store and marked-up price on hard to find item after release. Ami-ami also has a used item section.

Looks articulated. I only worry about if it need to use the flat hands for fighter mode.
-
But I think it was listed with one per customer limit and people were opening multiple accounts to order it. In the end the VF-25A, RVF-25, VF-27 super, VF-25F 4th(?) reissue, and YF-25 were all relatively easy to get at release time at regular price. BTW CDjapan still have 6 copies of YF-25, and an open YF-30 pre-order. The only difficult one this year is the YF-29 Ozma AFAIK. I'm glad I bought the Ozma armor part last year for 13000 yen, when it has to stay in the box for over almost two years. They must be going for crazy price now.

^ Just give HLJ 2 minutes, you will get a confirm email. Well after failing to wake up at 2:45 am last night and completely missed the window, HLJ comes through with a 10+ minute order window. It feels like a dream here... zzz

Probably license cost. Those WF one day licence are a lot cheaper than a retail release license.

Arcadia 1:60 VF-1J 30th Anniversary Color, has been 50% for a few weeks but already sold out when I see it at 80% off. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10230054
