  1. I thought it was high time that we got a preorder and a retail price point to argue over don't you all agree? And options for what to buy too, bundle or single.
  2. I hope that you can reclaim some of the money back from insurance, and also that the VF-1J max is going to be rereleased soon. For you and for many other people.
  3. Has anyone got a picture of the GBP Armour within the VF-X2 game? I have a suspicion that it is the same scheme.
  4. Once they throw in a Misa and a Minmay, I am so starting to collect this line.
  5. I don't know if I'd trust them to do an SDF-1 in any form. I would like them to do some figures though, they were pretty good, although MaxFoactory would be better after what they did with their Gundam SEED line.
  6. When all else is completed they might consider this a possibility I suppose. On to easier projects first.

    Warning

Note for the hips on the VF-1. When transforming from GERWALK to Battroid mode, you will want to begin to move the legs at the hips. However, if the legs get stuck, and you have to apply more than finger tight tension on the thing to get it moving, DON'T. Stop transforming this thing at once. Upon discussion, Valk-1S and I have come to the conclusion that Yamato has installed the rubber polycap that surrounds the metal ball joint of the hip soon after paint application. This causes the paint to stick and seize the leg in place. It is recommended that you remove the leg, undo the block surrounding the hip and removing the polycap and cleaning the ball joint. You will regret forcing the joint because you will crack the block surrounding the hip, which will lead to a looser leg.
  8. Well, I went ahead and did the unthinkable and ordered three of them when I heard the joints were all tight and good, and the fact that it was a toy in the true sense. Hope this doesn't have QC issues. I'd be bummed if it did. This will be my second SDF-1 toy after I got my Matchbox one ages ago. Anyone want that stanking hunk of crap? They sure as hell better include the stands for the price.
  9. I wouldn't be so afraid of the possible costs and issues for the YF-21. I wouldn't even want to think of it. Anyway, the price hike of the YF-19 is due to the development of rejects until they got a perfect one. I'm going to wait and see. Do remember if it is so expensive that it is impossible to get, then the price will have to go down in the future to meet market demands. Too bad for Yamato if they screwed up the initial price point.
  10. Problem is, even those things are scarce.
  11. These little things look good so far. I'm amazed at the detail on those little pictures. These would be good to decorate your desk with, to show people that you're a Macross nut.
  12. Given how spindly an SV-51 is, I'd be happy with Yamato to do their own take on the SV-51 (small necessary modifications like they did with the 1/60 YF-19) to make a practical toy.
  13. That's the first time I've ever heard someone get turned on from handling a toy...... Wait...no it isn't. You sick puppy Dante.
  14. Wanted Releases - 1/48 VF-1S Maximilian Jenius - 1/48 VF-1A Maximilian Jenius - 1/48 VF-1A Hayao Kakizaki - Development of two seater 1/48 VF-1s - 1/48 VF-4G - TV and DYRL? SDF-1 - Destroids - More Enemy Mecha - Complete Zero line of toys - Complete M+ Line of toys - Complete VF-X2 (VF-17 for me and Graham ) - Acquisition of licence and development of toys for M3 and M7 using existing toys (like the YF-19) as a research base
  15. Suggestions for Yamato to improve "Customer Delight" - Product testing on production samples before mass production - QC improvement (6-sigma lean manufacturing) - English version of their Website - Improvement of stickers - More Tampo printing - Accessory packs with Side covers and DYRL Hands - Improvement of current hand designs - Smaller packaging - Panel Lines - Weathering - Space releases so that one product per month released - Allow Graham to provide release of information earlier (I don't care about this too much, if Graham is happy with the upcoming products then we should all be happy! Remember he is a Macross fan and not a businessman!)
  16. It's a big shame as the heatshield has been proven to work. I don't care if they have to do a new mold for the main part of the 1/48 VF-1, it's about time they got off their lazy asses regarding the 1/48 and done something new with it instead of giving us heaps of non-canon repaints (the canon ones I approve ).
  17. *eliminates one possiblity for 2007*....
  18. A Yamato case for VFs is a total of 4. Shin's got a blue stripe?
  19. I think it's good that the Gunpod is actually the problem, rather than the hardpoints where the gunpod attaches to. Still, no problem is most desirable. I'll have to say it again, this bloody bird is huge. I'll be getting a case along with the other case of VF-0As. Can't wait for it.
  20. Nail polish has acetone, which is an organic solvent that melts plastic. I wouldn't recommend doing it many times. It doesn't add thickness at all. Use wood glue. It dries clear and can be removed in one piece. If you want to give it a good clean then soak the part in water. It creates this clear film when dry, and adds more friction in the joint to keep it stiff.
  21. That kit is psycho. I for one am glad that I am not that into Gundam, and secondly not that competant a modeller.
  22. The elbows and the shoulders can be done separately. I gotta save this, I've typed it heaps of times already in VF-0 topics. You have to find the line on the white armour that encompasses the Zero's bicep. They are glued so you have to crack them off. There you will find a screw to undo and then you can tackle the joint with wood glue or something. With the shoulders, the shoulder armour has to be taken off first. You can find the screws at the rear of the armour. Take that apart, and then you will see a ball joint, which has another screw through it. Take that apart and do what you will.
  23. Actually, you can download the VideoGrabber extension if you have mozilla firefox to save it after. I mean, you have to wait the same time for it to save anyway. Quality isn't terribly bad, but yeah it could be better.
