I'd love to have 12 VF-1A CF's. That would be cool. But it's just that the 1A fits the profile of being the CF. I know there were some VF-1J CF's in Macross but they did not get anywhere near as much screen time as the VF-1A CF. If Yamato were to make the VF-1 CF, they would probably make it an A even though there are so many A variants out there already, they would think twice about making a CF in J. Anyways, the majority of the Valkyrie contingent in the UN Spacy at that time was VF-1A CFs.

They gotta make a CF. no Macross Collection is complete without it. The custom one I saw in these forums was absolutely beaut...They could really easily make it. But I reckon that Yamato would want to make the valks that sell really well first. That's why they brought out Hikaru first and Roy not long after. BTW I know that the Low Viz has the USS Asuka stickers on them and etc etc bu tis it guaranteed a debut in Macross Zero?
-
The re-release is the upgraded version of the VF-1A Hikaru and VF-1S Focker. The improvements will be the new nosecone piece, improved wing flaps, and 90 degree elbow flexion as featured on the Low Viz and the VF-1A Max. I doubt that they will rerelease the Low Viz, as it is a limited edition valk.
-
I wasn't going to buy the low viz until I heard that it was in Macross Zero. I don't mind it, I think it is a very nice piece of work and a nice colour scheme. But I can only see this happening only if it is shown in Macross Zero.

Not too keen on Tizoc being in the team. Andy wasn't THAT bad. They could have put Rock Howard in the team, but he went off with Kain. Or shall we see him as a pre boss character?
-
If we all show our full support in all the Yamato Macross line, then the sky's the limit for them.

Sorry to put sand in your lubricant recon....but that is the prototype for the 1/60.

In the words of a very wise man: Now THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' 'BOUT! Awesome! Pilot looks sweet. Might have to consider some takatoys stickers though. By the way Graham, are there any pic of the VF-1J w/FAST Packs? I assume that is the VF-1J only box in your last pic.

i'd buy it, but only if i could drive it to work and live out of it at the same time. Drive?! That baby will FOLD to work! sweet. no more traffic. Give a whole new meaning to road rage. "Bloody Sunday Driver! Just you wait....Main Cannon, FIRE!!!" People won't have time to say ouch> (Imagine looking into your rearview mirror and seeing this big flash of light headding your way and the one thing that flashes in your mind is did I remember to feed your dog before leaving for work.) If I had a choice of target, it would be a taxi. Those fools think they own the road. Can you imagine it in a drag? Or a rally? You'll fry the bugger with your main engines! Yamato, please supply some good big and clear "beware of blast stickers"!

I believe Kevin @ the Valkyrie Exchange will be offering this with free shipping if you're a senior member... I'm 19. Be 20 next year in Feb.

Good luck man. Hope to see you back soon.

THAT is where the heavy costs are going to come in. <_<

Hmmm....I posted a very simular thread to this. 1. Do you really think they'll waste their J head on just Hikaru? You can probably bet your bottom dollar they'll make a Max and Millia. Also, I think that the 1/60 Max and Millia sold better than the 1/60 Hikaru anyway. 2. 1/48 VF-1A CF is a must for any Macross Collection. But, Graham said that the 1/60 CFs didn't sell very well. Yamato might think twice about this one. Hopefully....I must say hopefully, they wil at least make it a limited edition. 3. Pods will be great. I reckon if Macross fans try as hard as they can to support the Q-Rau line, Yamato will be very tempted to follow on with the battle pods. 4. 1/48 VF-1D? Hey! Don't forget the Elintseeker and the Super Ostrich as well! The two-seater versions would require resculpting of the fuselage and the chestplate though. What makes it hard is that the heatshield has to be non-removeable. I don't think the head is so much of a problem. I took a look at the concept art of the D, and found out that it doesn't have an airbrake. Nothing else should require touching. If anything, next year will be a busy year for Yamato. Personally, I hope they stay busy, it'll give all of us a chance to recharge our credit cards. But, I reckon if all of Macrossworld and other Macross fans give Yamato our full support, then anything is possible. Also, hopefully, Macross Zero will make a big enough boom in Japan and it's surrounding neighbours to drag in a new generation of Macross fans, which means more profit for Yamato, this will hopefully entice them to go on to projects like more VFs and enemy mecha etc.

Is this guy nuts or what? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...&category=16467 Do you guys smell a rat?

They really should. I mean, you can't leave a whole run of reissue Pakless. I've heard good things everywhere, they sell like hotcakes.

Just a general question on the FAST Packs bros. With the event of the reissues of the improved VF-1A Hikaru and VF-1S Focker, do you think that Yamato will send out a third run of FAST Packs?

Just picked up Macross Zero HK Boot DVDs...
kensei replied to Draykov's topic in Movies and TV Series
Kensei, any subbed (let alone dubbed) M0 you can buy or download these days is going to be a bootleg. The only way to have a legal sub or dub would be to buy the original and sub/dub it yourself. Hopefully that will change. There are vague, skimpy rumors of an eventual US release--see http://protoculture.lebhead.com --possibly inspired by one company's slip at an anime convention which was later denied by another company. In the meantime, it's either download, buy a bootleg, or learn Japanese. Edit: For downloading, I'd recomment bittorrent (animesuki is a good place to start). And check the pinned imacross topic for some tips on codecs and other tools. Thanks for the tip bro. Not very aquainted with the bootleg/pirate world I'm afraid. PS I meant to say subbed in my post -
Show it to Yamato!

I asked for an actual copy of Macross Zero that was dubbed. I don't understand Japanese, so getting an original would be out of the question. I didn't ask for a bootleg. I don't want to download it from Kazaa like others do because it's illegal anyway. -

I've found the ones you watched Dray, and the subs piss me off. Does anyone know where to locate the AnimeOne/Anbu subbed DVD's? -
Just when you need to post a picture, your scanner breaks. *sigh* Well, not that you can see my face, but I'm the guy doing air time. I could't find another pic of me on my computer. PS I got offered a role for a matrix stunt double! (j/k)

Well, the origin of the word for the series came from a cross between "megaroad"/"megaload" (indistinguishable in Japanese AFAIK) and "Macbeth" (as pronounced in Japanese, it's "Makubesu"). Details in the Animeigo liner notes, which were fortuitously posted to Usenet. As for an actual meaning in English, none that I'm aware of. I remember getting excited when I first heard of "macros" (i.e., programmable shortcuts for performing multiple computer operations), but there's no connection. The closest meaning would be as a derivative of "macro-", meaning "big" (actually, "long" in Greek). I don't know if Kawamori et. al. ever intended it, but we could suppose that the name is short for "Macro Star Ship". Cool! Thanks. That question just popped into my mind suddenly last night. Your answer is interesting and could well be right.
-
Yeah! And the VF-14! That would be sic maite!
-
Casting everything else aside, does the word "Macross" have any meaning in the english language? I think my Oxford is out of date. But seriously does it? I don't really expect an answer, just curious.
