I see you are skeptical about the release date being in Dec. I was too. I thought it would be in your hands ready to sell in early January as well.
-
I think white, because they are easier to see. Black wouldn't go down well. There are no black UN Spacy stickers besides.

I got some rumors from another board. Hope it isn't tru about the colour change (greyish tinge) to the base colour of the valk though. I would like the TV style elbows, but not the chnage in colour. Is it just me, or do I see absolutely no change in the base colour of the TV VF-1J to the DYRL valks? Someone confirm?

*GASP* Chris Barretta is alive?! Yes, he is alive. Myself, and Valkyrietestpilot had a nice long chat with him in the Dealer's Room at Otakon 2K4 in July/August. We told him that his casts were sorely missed, and that there might be some market for 1/48 upgrade parts, he was intrigued. Great guy, and an awesome modeller. I hope he comes back and starts making valkyrie parts again, that would be sweet!. How about some 1/48 TV VF-1A heads? I would buy a batch in a flash!
-
With the VE-1, are all the electronic warfare equipment located in the FAST Packs and belly mounted equipment? If so, is it right to say that te VE-1 is just a electronic warfare valkyrie exclusively used in space, and worthless without it's FAST Packs?

Glad to see everyone's cool now. Anyway, after seeing this I'm VERY tempted to make a Yamato version of this.

Well there is always the Low Vis....

If you look at the toys section of Macrossworld, the 1/60 VF-1D is not any longer than the other VF-1s (A and S and J, don't know about the VT and VE). I need a digital camera before I can give you guys my ideas though. I think it will work, but the vlak is probably goig to be a little....bustier than the current 1/48s.
-
It rarely works that way in real life. More isn't better... It's called diminishing returns. I rather have 10 of the best Macross toy ever made than 100 different ones. Well, it hasn't been ten years or more down the track yet. So let the guys have another run. At the same time we want to share the Macross goodness around, and expand the Macross fanbase further even. That's what this site is all about. I would like to have Macross shared by the majority of the anime otakus, rather than having it the world's best kept secret. Of course, producing too much like those star wars toys, now that's another story entirely. I see the end of the reissues somewhere in sight, but not now. It's too soon I think.

Send him a message. His handle on these forums is: twinmoons He said he'll be getting a restok soon.

Well, I don't know about shoving it in everyone's faces. But I bought my collection for one reason only: because I like Macross.
-
I'm a Macross collector, and it doesn't kill me. I don't sell off the toys unless I have a good reason. I guess there's two types of collectors, the type that buys valkyries for fandom reasons, and the ones that collect them for their monetary worth in the future.

Hey SharkNoir! Welcome to the forums mate. You can find those decals here: www.tmpanime.com Highly recommended store by me.

I will be willing to donate a 1st ed DYRL? VF-1A Hikaru to Neova to cannabilise if I get the parts I want for customisation. Some problems with the valk I'm giving include: 1. panelined with a micron pen 2. stickers applied 3. that little hook that secures the valks back pack to the back of the valk part is not available (BP4) 4. one missing "vernier thruster" on it's right shoulder. It just fell off and I have no idea where the hell it is. 5. The headshield is broken at the left little nub. I glued it back together again. After 10 transformations, no rebreaking. I want a small quantity of TV forearms in exchange and maybe some other parts in the future.

Thought I might as well ask this. Most of us say that we want two-seater valks. I for one am one of them. While some also want the 2-seater valks, they say that it would not be possible without some radical changes to the design of the original 1/48. Please by all means select your choice from the poll above, and if you are in the know suggest why it can/cannot be done, suggest any alterations or problems that will occur with the perfect tranformation process.

No problem with it. Seems like you got an opinion too. That's fine. What I hate though, is that they put previously $300.00 now sale price $275.00. As if anyone would believe that . But, it's not against the law and they'll be able to give you ashifty reason of why they are doing that. There's a big difference between being fair and giving 1/48s away. Heh I don't even know what HBAR is. Care to explain anyone? I would think you can still catch a few people out. Maybe some of the Robotechies who don't know too much about Yamato. Releasing it with FAST Packs would be sweet. Also, it would be a nice change.

I got the Roy version. Just tell me if you want a pic.
-
For people such as yourself, you were just offering the best advice at the time. You are not to blame for anything. For those people that did get the Roy for 200+, its just a shame.

That's what I really wanted to say. I don't know about everyone else, but it's not as if money is getting any easier to earn nowadays. I just hope the Australian economy holds up. I bought my 1/48 Max's when the Aussie dollar was at .67 of the USD. That was screwed. But luckily, Toy-man's huge discounts went a long way to ease the pain. If I were a dealer, my conscience would not let me jack up the price the way tisinc did. I would never do that to anyone. That is why I will only ever buy from Toy-wave, Neova, Kevin and Tamim. But then again, it's not my call. I am really glad that the Roy's have been rereleased. The end is in sight for me with the 1/48 line if they don't make the two seaters. I just hope the 1A's get released as well, so Neova can make a few customs for me.

100? that is how much sithlord would buy also and kensei! I'd buy a couple as well. man, I wonder what the minimum for them to start a prodcution is(not guessing, I mean exact number, cuz anybody can guess), we could probably sell 1000 on mw alone thanks to sithlord, godzilla, and kensei. not to mention all our vendors that frequent this site. sometimes I wish I studied harder in japanese school. I finally got my second ed of the VF-1A Hikaru's. I highly doubt that they would produce anymore soon. I'm glad that the VF-1S is going to be reissued, as this is the more popular one of the original two. Besides, I'm not like Godzilla. There is a perfectly logical reason for the totals of particular valks in my inventory. That will have to be revealed later. I doubt that they would make the TV version of the CF, therefore I would buy....14 of them. did you just call godzilla illogical?? you must share with us your reasoning. I would definitely want to know. Ha ha :lol:I didn't say that he was illogical. Stop trying to get me in trouble with the big boy Eternal_D! Still, I saw his collection total's and couldn't make out why he bought in the way he did. He'll tell us later I suppose. But he wants to create a whole squadron with the LVs that much I can understand. But then he said in another thread that he is selling some. I just want to display each of the VFs one in each mode. With and without FAST Packs. And one to play with.

They won't be too bad. With the VF-1A compared to the VF-1J, there is a marked difference in paint quality. You are perfectly right about that. But I forgive them because of the fact that it has to be transformed and that they can't really cover every mm square of the valk with the correct paint colour. But, still in all, I'm hoping that they are still giving it their best effort, otherwise I would be pissed. With the joints they are fine on two of the Max VF-1J's. If anything they are a bit stiffer, but not too much. I like my joints smooth, but not loose, perfect on the LV and the Max and the reissued VF-1A Hikaru. The 1st ed of the VF-1A Hikaru and the VF-1S Focker is a different story, they need a grease job or something, the joints are so stiff! Here's hopin that the reissue is a lot smoother int he knees and elbows. EDIT oh yeah, and the airbrake still pisses me off on the Max's. The worst so far is the VF-1S Hikaru, and the best is the Low Vis. Actually so far, I would say that the one that had the best QC ever is the LV. Hey Haterist, maybe the QC on the LV is limited edition as well.

I wouldn't laugh at the people who bought their 1/48 Roy's for 200 or more. That's highly unfair. I hope that tisinc rots after the Roy's come in Dec. My prediction is that they will be in the stores for us to purchase in early to mid January though.
