I would have, but I think I pushed Toy-man to the limit. He had to order from his retailers overseas when I ordered both the Max and Hikaru VF-1A. I was the guy who wiped out all his stocks. I'm really stuck though. I booked 21 pcs of VF-1S Fockers but I want to pay for them, quickly, I don't want my retailer to get stuck with the bill. And then I gotta get 10-11 more FAST Packs. Don't think I'm gonna get all that much VF-1Ss left to customise, everyone will be one them. I think Yamato will release a VF-1A CF, but it will be the last of the last 1/48s, and probably near the end of next year too. The 1/48s have really proven quite popular, Yamato would be stupid not to release this. Hey, they listened to the fans about rereleasing the Fockers, so why not the CF? Let's shout loudly enough and we will get out dream, just like with the KonigMonster and the 1/48 GBP Armour! BTW with your custom CF are you gonna paint the frame of the optic sensor brown or leave it as it is? -

thanks sithlord. not that it really compares to your super duper MEGA-collection but i gotta eat and stuff. the DYRL stand isn't on a flexi-stand, its justa acrylic riser....can't get enough of those either. kensei, yes thats my custom kaz. 1S...you like? i used a brand new 1S hikaru(paid $110) to make him. silly, yes...a waste, no. to each his own but i love my S squad. Yes I like it very much. Meant no offense mate. It's just that with my target quota for valks, I just can't bring myself to touch the VF-1S with green paint. It's fine if you love green, but the actual character (not your work) just....I don't know. I will however, waste a Hikaru 1J on him to make a TV version. I suppose that's a waste too. EDIT: Hye you know what you're missin'! A Kakizaki VF-1J with FAST Packs! Now that could be cool! -

Well they revised the scuplt a couple of times, so expect around the first to second quarter of next year. -
Where did you see this? It's still worth buying if you don't want to consider the shipping fees. I live in Perth

I must say its great to be surrounded by all these toys, even if most of them are unopened. I've only got 14 opened at the moment. and they look awesome. Just shows how much they mean to me, I had never owned another Macross toy before. Valkoholic 4 life!

Hey! Check out the custom Kakizaki in the background! Nice! Heh, I wouldn't really want to waste a whole VF-1S on him though, or did you get a recast head from rob? -
Crap, can the arms reach beyond the nosecone or not? Can't wait to see the final piece either. Good job so far, its fun keeping up with this thread.

Hi guys, my name is kensei, and I'm Godzilla's blood brother. I have this problem see, I want a final total of 68 1/48s....

Does animate ship internationally?

I was really worried about this as they were the only source of Roys until Yamato announced that they would be rereleasing the Roys. I don't need any more Hikaru's, therefore, Roys are my only problem right now. I say wait it out if you need a Roy, and stuff TISINC.
-
Yep I'm collecting all I can right now and then saving up 3 grand to put away until the next Macross release comes out. Then I'm gonna pay for eveything else for the future so I don't ahve to worry about being short on money for Macross purchases. But I have to say that the 1/48s are te finest thing so far, there's not really much room for improvement, they are true collector's items.
-
Well, its just a curved headrest instead of a double rectangle thing where the pilot puts his breadbasket. EDIT: I've only seen this so far on the rereleased VF-1A Hikaru not the VF-1S Roy.
-
What do you want to know? If there are any improvements to subsequent editions, time of release, what? The second edition improvements come with all these: 1. slots for the nosecone 2. stable 90 degree elbow flexion 3. easy open landing bay doors (apparently, I see no difference) 4. no velcro on the boxes, 5. revised cockpit first seen on the VF-1S Hikaru VF-1A has had its second rerelease already, and the VF-1S is schedules for its 3rd rerelease this December.

How about no. That would be boring. Mixing up the Battlepods and destriods would be a marvellous idea. They should do this for Macross Zero as well, but mixing up the Cheyenne with the Octos. That would be fully sick.

I'll be getting a case. That'll do for now. -

Super Posable? Hell NO! I've had enough of them. I would consider buying from the cap too if he made some. Even two of each and I'll hire someone to paint them. I'm soooo sick of SPs now.

THat's pretty cool. Weird location of the laser Cannon though. Where the head laser used to be is now a shoulder cannon....heh That was a cool feature I reckon, something different. -
Why do people always want to go back to die cast? Paint chipping and reduced poseability due to floppy or overly weighted parts is not my idea of a good toy. I'm so glad the 1/48 valks have no die cast. They are so much better for it. I think he means to reinforce the parts that are the most vulnerable. I'm not a big fan of diecast either, but the idea of using diecast on landing gears and T-bars on the 1/48 was excellent. They are the most vulnerable parts of the toy, and we would easily be hearing complaints about it if they were made in the standard ABS plastic. Reinforcement with metal might be a good idea but that does not necessarily mean die-cast. As you say, things like landing gear are a good application. But is there any question that the use there will continue? I don't think so. The reality is, and I'm not specifically referring to Eternal_D here, that people have a tendency to invoke the word die-cast as if its some alchemist's secret for toy gold. I've often heard people lamenting the loss of extensive die-cast content in toys for parts like the Yamato 1/60's legs. As the 1/48 shows, ABS is a much superior solution in terms of aesthetics, functionality and longevity. I haven't had any problems with my ABS toys. The only thing I've broken on a Yamato toy was a shoulder slider on the first YF-22 and that was not made from ABS. So, basically, I'm just against the use of die-cast for major moldings. Like those fully heavy Lionbot figures? I hear ya mate. Diecast looks horrible when you damage the toy. I agree with you, if the WHOLE thing was made out of die cast, that would be wrong for a number of reasons.

the R2 is out-of-print. Thanks. Didn't know that. But the bootlegs these days when ripped straight from the original is still as good am I right?
-
Why do we have to settle for a bootleg version of Macross Flashback? It is just a music video anyway isn't it? Therefore there is no need for subs or dubs (none that I've heard of or found anyway) and the original one would be the best wouldn't it?

Thanks. But they are in their boxes shut tight in a little cold room. Only bringing them out when I finish my collection and got the Custom stickers. And start building the shelves....dang, that costs money too
