Stop playing with your toys Solscud and get on with your Chem homework, there's a good little boy. -

Dude, I love it. Love it, Love it, Love it, Love it,Love it,Love it,. I'd like to see some valk ones as well, but it suits characters sooooo much better. When I finsih my Yamato collection I am definitely coming after you with a request for a few of these.

That's good news then. I was worried that there would be like a 1000 or something. That a huge amount of Roy's to go out. From your perspective, how long do you reckon that supoply is going to stretch out in the market? Based on the 2nd run numbers and if demand is the same as when Roy, and Hikaru's 1S came out, at least 3 months for HK. The same can be said for Max's Super 1J. The first 3 month window will get you one, but after that, price slowly increases then by the 4-5 month, drought. I cannot predict the demand for the rest of world. HK has a healthy Yamato Macross appetite and fanbase in my opinion. Be warned, I got hit with a price increase JUST as I was about to take delivery of my orders... Grr... Don't be suprise if dealers increase the prices after the pre-orders to cover the rising YEN vs weaken Dollar. Sigh... Thanks. I understand about the USD against the rest of the world though. The AUD is just touching 0.8 USD...the best it's ever been in years. I wouldn't be surprised if it suppasses 0.8 USD.

There's a fix for that. Little trouble and barely visible. Involves the use of wire. I forgot where it is though. Maybe someone else can help Gwynne out with floppy wrist syndrome?

WTF? Neova siad that he should be getting his stock in on Monday. Is the VF-1S coming out again THAT soon?! I haven't started saving yet! *PANIC ATTACK!*

Dude, I wish I was that rich. For now, between each variant and type, there will be different poses. I won't pose them all in the same manner.
-
Um, well maybe I wasn't clear there. Example: Hikaru VF-1S - 7pcs I want to display 1 fighter, 1 GERWALK, 1 battroid. Repeat again, this time with FAST Packs. 1 to play with. Total 7 for one character. I will repeat for VF-1A and VF-1J and TV version of VF-1S.
-
Exactly. Yeah, I know...I watched it once after I bought the DVD set and sort of remember them saying something about it but I couldn't bear to watch the series a second time so I'll never figure it out. Anyway, back on topic, Basara's Valk has the ugliest mech Head. Maybe we should start a poll to get some figures. Of all the possible valks? Quite hard because there are more than ten choices, and selection for the poll would be purely subjective.
-
Each character and variant I will display. Each one will have 7. Three to display in each mode, three again as above but with FAST Packs, one to play with. Preferably one more to keep MIB, but I'll do that when they rerelease them 10 years later.

I spend a lot because of the bloody shipping and the fricken USD->AUD exchange rate.

I was just wondering what product in the toy world triggered the release of all these great quality, highly articulated and ultra detailed toys we have nowadays? From my limited knowledge and experience, it seemed to start with the VF-1 from Yamato. The 1/48 scale that is. Or was the idea of developing such toys long in the making, and the VF-1 just happened to be out first? This could also extend to the Transformers MP Prime and Binaltech lines. (It does preclude however, the Toynami MPCs. )
-
Exactly.

LOL! love how the phalanx got dismembered.

I actually just got them a dew weeks ago. As for your M&Ms having velcro, which was really weird, I think that a Chinese factory worker just found a roll of extra velcro around and said: "Hey boss! I just found some leftover velcro! What do I do with it?" Boss: "just use it up mate." Worker: "But the Hikaru's and Focker's have already shipped, and we stopped using them on the 1/48s now." Boss:"Just stick 'em on the M&Ms."

And then the Miria came out in April and killed my wallet. IF you guys want, I'll perform a survey by inspecting every box I have. I'll post the stats after my exam on Wednesday.
-
As others have pointed out, this isn't always the case. I think this first appeared in the VF-1J Hikaru. The headrest is different to accommodate the bigger TV-style helmet. H 4. True, but 7 out of 7 of my reissues ahave no velcro. I just assumed. What's going on? 5. No, the VF-1S hikaru came out first before the VF-1J Hikaru. It was also the first release of a 1/48 VF-1 with a rubber pilot. The release date of the VF-1S Hikaru (08-11-2003) and the release date of the 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru (11-28-2003). EDIT: dates.

Imagine the next Macross VF-X with an animal instead of a humanoid head. Ugh.
-
It the YF-21 for me. I can speak for Graham I think. He doesn't like the VF-1D head. And come to think about it, the SuperOstrich and Elintseeker look fugly as well. Anyone remember the custom VF-1 in the MW Magazine section? The platypus variant I think?

i have a theory on this.... only the first production run gets the velcro boxes. each of the 1/48 i preordered or purchased when they were first released, came with velcro boxes. 1S roy, had 3 at one point, 1 w/velcro, 1 w/o. purchased a 1st release w/velcro, sold 1st release, but kept the box. ordered 2 reissues from neova, only asked for 1 box, no velcro. 1S hikaru x 2, both w/velcro, purchased a month or so after release but sellers couldn't move these at first 1A max, velcro. got it late, got lucky, sellers weren't moving these either. 1J hikaru, velcro, owned 2 at one point, both had velcro, purchased both 2 weeks after the release. sold 1 1J M&M's, bought them twice. 1st pair had velcro, both preordered from Neova, then sold them. bought a 2nd pair from VE way later, neither have velcro. 1J super x 3, 1 w/velcro(preordered), 2 w/o picked them up after they were restocked. 1A LV, velcro, bought this the same day it got into the states. is this a conspiracy theory or am i just crazy? Really? Velcro on the M&M's? I thought that the velcro thing had phased out after the rereleases of the VF-1S Roy and VF-1A Hikaru. Or did the M&Ms come after the rereleases? I completely forgot what order they all came out now.
