  1. Tobey Maguire did only an ok job with Spiderman. I would have prefered them to get someone else more suited for the role, because by casting him they have made PP overly nerdy.
  2. It is unfortunate though, that you have to be careful with this toy straight off the bat. I might have to order another one for use as spare parts.
  3. As the title says. Those options seem like the only options available to me at the moment. You're welcome of course to suggest something different. This will be the baby which will house all my valks for you to see in about June - July. My reasons against the hinged doors is the fragility of the glass near the hinge. Also, the doors cannot be too huge. This is why I love the sliding doors. Except, there is always that ugly division and gap where the two glass doors meet. But they are easier I belive to design little locks for.
  4. I for one would love to see both. I would buy at least 14 TV VF-1A heads to trick out my valkyries with. I could have true TV Max, CF and Kakizaki customs. I would alos love the idea of a MW head too. We should also get some decals to go with it, and personalise the valk with Member number and handle. That would be fully sick.
  5. I really like that idea though obakesan. But you could design one that is that deep if you want the 1/48s to be in some cool action poses. Particulary fully armoured in Battroid mode with wings spread and missiles attached and gunpod arm stretched out to maximum. But compared to hinged and sliding, it seems the most fragile. Problem would be attaching the glass to the railing, unless it was surrounded by a frame for support. But then again, all glass is pretty fragile no matter how carefully you treat it. Stress cracks near the hinge are apparent every couple of years. I heard 3M has a film that can cover the glass and increase its strength and prevent it from shattering, while at the same time filtering out UV light, another bonus. Anyone ever heard of this stuff? Anyone ever tried perspex? I wouldn't mind using it, but all I've ever seen is scuffed, scratched and opague perspex. But do you think it may be cheaper?
  6. I don't know about Melbourne, but over here in Perth they have the HG Macross Boxset. Look for a franchise called JB Hi-Fi. They'll definitely have it at a competative price. I think other places like Electronic Boutique have it for 5-10 AUD more expensive.
  7. Wow, I thought it was terrible. It was 2 hours wasted in my opinion. Same underdog overcomming obstacles to save the day, kind of plot we have seen 100x before, just this time it was more annoying. Agreed. It wasn't even funny.
  8. Look in the Toys section in the Official VB-6 Konig Monster thread.
  9. Simply put, MPCs are not worth getting.
  10. Check page 9 of this thread;) http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...opic=143&st=160 Thankyou, I skimmed over it half asleep and in despair about my 1/48. EDIT: Holy Crap!! I will be more gentle with handling it in the future! Smashed my hand into my mate's face next to me..I didn't realise it would be so easy!
  11. The best way is to do it one side at a time and prevent it from making that snapping noise.
  12. I got rubber seppage on my reissue VF-1A Hikaru. It's pretty bad. About a 1 cm strip of rubber has worked its way out. I'm trying to take the leg apart. Managed to get the lower leg off, now its' a case of trying to split the intake without damaging it. Any tips how to do this? I can't get it apart! This might also help with my VF-1S Max, the left intake is starting to show a stress fracture.
  13. That would be true, but say on a coloured 1/48 VF-1J Max for example it would be harder to notice.
  14. All right Haterist! Keep those customs rollin! Love those ideas of yours.
  15. Try to keep your valks or whatever in a glass cabinet in a cool place too. Your stuff lasts a lot longer that way. If you can, do what I am going to do, add a 3M special film that is ever so slightly tinted that can block out at least 99.99% of UV rays (not that my valks are in the most sunniest room anyway, but you can never be too careful) and UV filters on lights. Even then, don't leave the lights on all day and night. They will still yellow, but I hope that see nothing at all until I kick the bucket.
  16. TwinMoons Anime or Valkyrie Exchange. Take your pick. Easiest to order from them, or you can PM Takatoys or Anasazi.
  17. A full feature on VF-X2 would be nice. I reckon you could stretch that story out in 20-30 eps.

Damn....and I was hoping for an all new exclusive VF-1S...
  19. Say those CM figures aren't too bad at all! That's the first time I seen it with a 1/48. I should get some! Noice!
  20. >EXO<, I'm pushing the weight and size limit on EMS to the max. 1/48 cases are too small. Toy-Man can get 8-9 1/48s to me at a time. As for some proof Rune .... proof zeo-mare, I'm using 7 for VF-1S Max Custom, 7 DYRL? VF-1S Fockers and 7 for TV VF-1S Fockers. Dude....I wish I was that guy on ebay. Two years ago I would have never thought that the VF-1A Low Viz would become such a valuble VF. Looking at the thing on the net isn't much, it's only until you actually bought one and spent a few minutes transforming it when you realise how cool it really is. Cheers lads, Francis Excuse me Graham, have you labelled up your VB-6 yet? If it looks good, I'll just copy your layout.
  21. Error loading last picture... Cheers zeo-mare. Once finished and the shelf is built...I'll put my Mum's china collection and my trophies and medals back in. The shelf will be custom made, my uncle and I will design it. Sectioned shelves will be made, one with a sky blue background for non-armoured TV valks, red sky and charred earth for unarmoured VFs a la DYRL?, and a space background for all armoured valks. All shelves will be made of glass, as well as the doors. Now, I'm debating whether to have sliding doors or hinged doors. Hinged looked nicer as they don't have the ugly overhang between doors, but are easier to break than sliding doors and it is easier to install and more effective IMO those little locks. I'm open to suggestions though. EDIT: Those shelves are made by my uncle. Nothing amazing, just simple and solid, it was one of his early projects. Now he's fully equipped and working and building better ones, just in time to build my stuff. I just collect Macross BTW. I didn't look after my transformers well enough to display them now and have nothing good to show anyway. Thanks to Macrossworld I was introduced to Yamato's products and thought, I gotta have something of my childhood that I can display and be proud of. Macross is the first thing I seriously got into collecting. And I mean serious. If I did have enough money, I would buy two more of each. One to keep MIB and the other to sell 5-6 years later. And maybe a couple more so that I could rip off parts for repair.
  22. Next door to the last one...
  23. Displayed a select few in my display cabs...
