I don't think that the VT or VE needs the V tails changed at all. See the comparison pic in this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...=0entry261702

If Liquid Stone works for Yamato, wouldn't we most likely to see a YF-19 w/FAST Packs in the future? Like the Konig Monster when LS was IHP, they sold the design to Yamato to make didn't they? Couldn't you possibly see this happening to the 1/100 LS design? And if they did, wouldn't they easily be able to scale the model up to 1/72?

With the Elintseeker and SuperOstrich, I believe that the existing NP-FB-01 section of the current FAST Packs would be able to be used, with the appropriate modifications to the front sections. I would like to mention another problem that we might have to face. This project might take several months or more per type. Not that I want to rush the Captain, but what about the availability of 1/48s in the future? That would make it really hard for some people to get what they want, as they would not neccessarily like to butcher their current existing valks for the VE/VT/VF. Anymore news of any releases? A release of the VF-1J Hikaru would be useful for the VF-1D, as well as the VF-1S Hikaru or VF-1A Max for the Elintseekers and Ostrich. Is this project along with the population of Macrossworld able to warrant another rerelease of 1/48 Yamato and their FAST Packs for customisation? BTW Captain, I know it's not concrete, but if it is around $75 USD/kit, that would be hell sweet. Can't ask for a much better price than that. If I were to order more than one kit, would you be able to package it together for cheaper shipping? And also what payment would you accept? I will start saving in the beginning of April, regardless of whether you have started the project or not! I'm so excited, I just can't hide it! A true Macross collection is within my grasp!

I hope that Yamato are just staggering their releases. Remember back early last year when there were a staggering about of Yamato Macross toys, and you couldn't really get all of them?

Like the sculpt, but not the colour, Lunamaria was more of a dark blood red.

EDIT: sorry nothing to see, I didn't read the whole thread before posting.....

That would be sweet Captain. This project is really all about the head. I know that the whole front section with the cockpit needs to be changed too, but the VF-1D head is really the piece de resistance of the valk. Do that first if you can when the project starts!

I am not sure how well they did but it is almost quite certain that they did not produced a lot of them as not many fans know about this mecha, unless of course they played the game Shops over here are also reluctatnt to stock them up, so only bigger shops have them and sales look not too bright as everytimne I pass by it is still there Andy Apparently they are selling well everywhere else. So much that there will be a reissue in the next 6 months so I'm told.

Hope this is not too offtopic, but seriously, what can we do about it? I want more toys, I'm willing to work hard to convince Yamato. But the Garland looks cool. Posed a bit weird though.

If the added strength justifies the added cost, then I'm all for it. Hope that won't be too much trouble for everyone if you were to use two different materials on the same mold? Therefore, you can amke an economy kit, and a high grade kit?

I notice some italian numbers enraved in the forehead of the Gundams. Freedom is the tenth, and Chaos is the fourth. Does that mean that we'll see at least 11 GUNDAMS in Seed Destiny? (11 because Impulse is a prototype)

*releases his hands from AlphaHX's neck* Heh...just kidding mate. BTW, you did not fool me, I was always skeptical.... EDIT: Unfortunately I did not purchase any extra valks for this project. Hopefully there will still be a reissue of 1/48 in the future. Hahah... I'm sure you were. No extra Valks??? 69 Valks and you dont have any extras? Hey I'm speaking the truth! Damn, I have no credibility here at all. All 69 valks have a purpose. I know that resin can never compare to ABS plastic in terms of strength, but how much weaker can we expect the material to be? I am generally gentle when handling my valks, but is that enough to stop any breakages? Also what can he do (I know it is still early but I am nevertheless curious) to slow down or prevent the wearing away of resin during repeated transformations?

1D box would be sweet... just a suggestion here...if anyone is customizing the 1D box, can he/she as well customize a 1S Max box?....im sure many people here would want to see their max 1S well kept in the appropriate box aaajin PS: Id be down for one if anyone would recast the 1D cockpit~! If that is a real Yamato Box, I'll jump for joy, if that is one designed by you...damn, I don't know, I'm speechless. Looking for errors in that pic, seems like it isn't really a 2-seater, AlphaHX, I am going to strangle you .... Hahah... I kno I kno... I just wanted to see what you guys had to say. I whipped it up really quickly last nite. There was still a ton of mistakes. Here, I fixed a few. I had you fooled for a second there Kensei. Cummere! I'LL KILL YOU!

I think the Capt should try the VF-D first, not because I like that the most, but becasue it is probably the easiest to do of the three. Any problems that come up he can fix later using the experience he gained from the VF-1D.

The Official Yamato VB-6 Monster Thread

you know, everyones friggin left arm is loose on this toy. i took apart the arm(the 1 screw in the bicep), put a thin layer of clear nail polish on the peg and its nice and tight now. Just one more question if you don't mind Haterist, what is the percentage of acetone, if at all, of your nail polish? I just remembered that the active ingredient in nail polish is acetone and that dissolves plastic to the point where you can smear it. -

Hey cheers Haterist! You're very talented with that nail polish of your's. Like the RMS missiles, can that be the solution to all loose plastic toy parts? -

Got mine today. Woahhoh mate.. this thing is sweet. No problems with the stress marks yet. Just be careful to those that are about to transform theirs. on the previous page, the transformation page is highly recommended if you don't want to break your Monster right away. I don't think that the leg attachemnts are on backwards at all. Although I agree that they should be more secure, you have to hook the leg up to the catch, and then pull back. This will provide the most secre locking position. Sorry gotta go! My task now is to learn how to transform my Monster off by heart. -
Of course, posting that a MW member is going to visit their booth might not be such a good idea Nah, I doubt anybody there reads MW forums anymore. They seem to have crawled so far up their own a-holes, that they can't see daylight any more Who me......bitter?....Nah! Graham So that means that we are allowed to see all the pics you weren't allowed to post before?

That kinda looks like a cross between the VF-0 and the Viper from Virtual On. Looks great.

Seriously, I wish I had a partner that was as romantic as yours. My girl paid some money down on them so I dare say you are correct. Wow. I wish I can find a girl that would do that for me. My gf paid for a good majority of my Macross kits actually... resins and all. Nothing says "I love you" better than a few hundred dollars worth of Macross resin model kits. Agreed. Ahem....have they got any sisters? -
Well said! Of course it is not easy fishing up $150 USD shipped. I know that some people have it harder than others, but you have got to make sacrifices or work harder or both.

I'd second that... Here's the conversion equations, I know someone said they did it already but I ended up doing it again, just out of curiousity... Phalanx Actual (Ground to searchlight) - 11.27m or 36.97ft 1:60 - 7.40in or 18.78cm 1:48 - 9.24in or 23.48cm Tomahawk Actual (overall including missile rack) - 12.7 m or 41.67ft 1:60 - 8.33in or 21.17cm 1:48 - 10.42in or 26.45cm Actual (to head unit) - 11.27 m 1:60 - 7.40in or 18.78cm 1:48 - 9.24in or 23.48cm Spartan (Ground to shoulder) 11.31 m or 37.10ft 1:60 - 7.42in or 18.85cm 1:48 - 9.28 in or 23.56cm Defender (Ground with antenna) - 11.27 m or 36.97ft 1:60 - 7.40in or 18.78cm 1:48 - 9.24in or 23.48cm Monster (Height to guns' muzzles) - 22.46 m or 73.68ft (damn!) 1:60 - 14.73in or 37.43cm (damn!) 1:48 - 18.42in or 46.79cm (damn!) Sans the Monster, 1/48 it is then.
