1. A bit too deep don't you think? While a good idea, I don't see much happening in the action side of things. I mean there will be, but not from the point of the main character, as he isn't in the thick of things, he just fixes the planes. But I'm up for a good show. Anything, as long as it has any of the existing fighters, nothing has to be new, and someone as cool as Roy. I still think that they should animate VF-X2 though. You can go across the whole range of Macross fighters.
2. This is weird. Looks like one of the old UC shows, but this MG has a light up sabre. How cool is that?
3. One word of advice, the only way you are most likely to sell these is to palm it off to a rabid Robotech fan without knowledge of a Yamato, particularly a 1/48 Yamato. Hell, I see the new 1/100 scale Veritechs being better than them.
4. You mean that black one is customised? Or can you get both off the shelves?
5. Yup agreed. Can we have a trial week with those icons? Let's see how it goes.
6. I'll join you and the GBP, VF-0A, VF-0D, SV-51, Cheyenne and Octos one too.
7. Given the SAP's booster/cannon design, I think that un-swept wings would actually interfere with the SAP's wings (the booms that support the large left and right missile/drone pods). Therefore, in the case of the VF-2SS, having the wings fully swept to battroid/deck storage mode makes sense. Besides, since the SAP is intended for space operations only, AFAIK, the wings are useless and are best kept out of the way; if, like the VF-1, the VF-2SS carried a wing mounted weapons load and had a more modestly sized, maybe without the booms, SAP, then having the wings out would definitely add to the look. And it's not as if I don't like the craft with the SAP, I just like the Valkyrie II without it a bit more. 387606 I just think that for a Space Fighter, it is seriously undergunned without an SAP. Anyway, those things are not only missile launchers, which is the only thing I like about the design, but they are also blast shields. I think they are designed to be a bit mobile and learn at angles in a limited fashion.
8. Good point, but maybe not. maybe he just needs time to think up of a good story. Boy I hope that is the case. Hasn't been that long since M0 right?
9. The VF-1S is so iconic, and also it looks very similar with the colour scheme. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. But we shouldn't give them THAT much credibility, after all, they still can't work out that we want a YF-19/21/VF-11/VF-17 in a scale that is 1/60 to 1/55.
10. Yamato should pack them that way officially. just kidding. Now a gbp equiped valk plus fast packs all in the size of a normal box. Would this be possible? Imagine the savings.. 387898 Yamato should cater for me, their biggest customer. Damn straight. ... The only thing that I don't like about the equipped valks sold prepacked is that i don't like how they get the factory workers to put it together. As it is a job for them, I'm sure afraid that they will damage them or something.
11. Damn stright! How I want an instrumental of the original one now! Or even better, one for my ringtone! This has only strengthed my love for Macross
12. Yup. I'd let them take their time with it, for my wallets sake and also for a design that is excellent. An Octos and Cheyenne in the meantime would be sweet though. There's not much to go into in the Destroid section..... Unless you have SDF macross. Most of the parts are interchangable, so I don't know why they don't venture into that area. But they are a small company, so I guess that they got their hands full now.
13. Man, just seeing those SRW alpha videos make me wanna see the whole series animated DYRL? style. Of course I would want something new. I believe that Macross was Shoji Kawamori's best. He will go back and think up of something to do. I want new fighters, of more use of the old ones, but I want a 50 ep series, full of non-repeated animation and battle goodness. Like Gundam, Macross still has places to go, things to do. I can't wait for SK to do something. But hopefully, he will make it a more militaristic type of story. I want the original done up again in DYRL style, with a twist, much like SEED was a tribute to the old Gundam UC, and then I want something new featuring the VF-11, VF-14, VF-9 too.
14. Yeah they did, but it had a primary role of an electronic warfare specialist.
15. 387564 Legando? Yatta! Looks like the Akatsuki will be made soon enough. We got all the other lines and series to look out for as well. Man Bandai are on a spree. We need a Gaia and Abyss as well in 1/100, to complete the set. And some PLAUSIBLE scale of the Destroy too in HG. I don't like the Abyss, but the Gaia is a must. It's probably the most original suit of the CE, and Destiy in general.
16. I already don't really like the design so much, and I got to disagree, it looks way better with the SAP Packs than without it. otherwise, it just looks so plain! And it looks way better than the Metal Siren if I had ot make a choice.
17. Well if we had to the option, I would pick the D, but that would take ages if there is a problem with the cockpit transformation. So I would rather have a VF-0D which is cool with the Ghost boosters and FAST Packs anyway.
18. Yeah it's a pretty flawed poll. I'm a completist, so yeah give me the VF-0D.
19. I import from HK now, and ask the vendor to remove the boxes and the inserts, and to wrap up the valks in a layer of bubble wrap. That way I can import 6 valks at a time in the one box, and in a smaller package to prevent suspicion of the true worth of the valks. Saves a bit on the shipping.
20. Cool, thanks. I really wonder how they are going to hide some of the things from the robot mode in the fighter mode. Can't wait!
21. Man, although TFs is only a substitute for Macross for me, I still find myself blown away by the Masterpieces and Binaltechs, and also the New THS Primes. Although I may never get one, I really want to see the new MP Starscream. And I am interested on how it actually transforms, and wonder how good it actually looks in both modes. Can't wait for pics. Any official word on the prototype pics?
22. Ah well. It's a good product, I think that it is worth the wait. Too much in my life at the moment, I couldn't care less when it comes out, I know I won't really get to touch it until Mid year. My wallet in the meantime is glad.
23. Hey Js, those new icons look friggin sweet. Good work!
24. The trick is to open up the kneecap all the way forward. After attaching the armour, it won't be noticable, but give you kickass mobility.
