Seriously: Why don't any of YK's other soundtracks sound as br
kung flu replied to isamu's topic in Movies and TV Series
I actually think some of the Mac+ soundtrack was a bit boring imo, I like her work for Turn A Gundam & Ghost in the shell. -
I like the blue version, are these models cannon or are they yamato exclusives?

I hope by "world wide" they also mean the UK also, but i won't get my hopes up since the UK market is utter crap. I would get the dvds either from america or japan, I would love to go blu ray, but the god damn regoin coding sucks and theres no hack for it yet but if it really does come out in the UK i would really like to get the Blu rays versions of Unicorn.- 3717 replies

New Haruhiko Mikimoto Gundam Artbook-Into The Sky
kung flu replied to halfan's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Wonder does it have any new material or is it just his old stuff repackaged with 30th anni stamped on it -
The film companies wanted region coding to prevent people buying their films from other countries in which the film was not released yet. I remember getting many films from America on dvd and they weren't even available yet in the UK cinemas or shops. Also buying from the USA is much cheaper than buying in the UK

15 years ago the first OVA of Macross Plus was released.

Who would you rather have as a passenger?

I voted misa, I like a woman in uniform Also getting stranded on a dead planet earth with her can't be all that bad and she can make imaginary drinks and dinners too -
I thought that scene was a waste, I mean self destruct for a Zaku 1, not worth it, all those explosives wasted on a measly Zaku 1 is not a fair trade off. But then again so that guy right for not paying attention in battle

The last episode is definitely the best one out of the lot. While it great to see Zeon suits, it was worth the wait to see the EFSF suits in action. I'm glad the fan sub is out, I bought the dvd before the sub and I'm pretty surprised that i actually understood most of it and the subs confirmed what i was thinking lol.

If the UK anime market was the same as the USA or Japan, then i would fully support it, but its always been rubbish here in the UK, with overpriced crap titles and we don't have much of a library of shows to pick compared to the USA. So when I download a show its not because i want to steal it, but because its not available in my country. I'm grateful for the internet for giving me greater access to many titles which i may not have heard of before thanks to the downloads and i can actually order dvds online from shops in USA and Japan direct. Before the internet i had to settle for hong kong vhs recordings from relatives and they were always crap quality.

I've got the animeigo macross boxsets which is the only enlgish language macross show i own. I've got the japanese dvds for Zero, Dyrl (HD) and Mac plus (HD). If i look at my anime dvd collection its really a mix of usa, japan and hong kong dvds. UK dvds are crap.

I bought alto's, ozma's and michael's valkyries, i'm really disapointed in them, they are very fiddly, too many peices and they have a tendency to do the splits.

I like to watch a show first, then decide whether i like it or not to buy the dvds. Regoin 1 dvds are cheap for me, but buying from Japan is really expensive. Fansubs is the only way i can watch new shows, like Macross frontier. Can't say i like Macross frontier enough to buy the dvds though. For me downloading movies is like watching TV.

what's mikimoto been up to lately.
kung flu replied to zeus the zentran's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
only new stuff i've have from mikimoto is his gundam manga ecole du ciel and his innocence art book, not heard anything else on what hes working on -
I wouldn't care if a character is legal or not cos they are not real people and if they are drawn nicely or beutifully i don't have a problem at all. I mean just look at sheryl Edit:- personaly i find the loli stuff a bit disturbing. But most characters in anime that are meant to be teenagers are usuallly given a much more mature appearance, which is why i don't have a major problem. I find character art nice to look at, seeing great pictures of my favourite charcters whether male or female is always a great bonus.

Heres a nice figure of Asuka, i've been waiting a while for a good figure of her in a plug suit for ages, its by kotobukiya, they also released one of Rei and Misato in the same scale a while back, which i already bought So i'll get Asuka to finish the collection when its released in October. http://eyeonasia.wordpress.com/2009/07/03/...-ver-16-figure/

English is what you call an "International Language". Also Britain controlled a large portion of the globe during the empire days, so english is taught in the territories which they controlled and influenced. But these days its mostly america influencing other countries with their hollywood movies and culture.

Bandai are bring one out, its a bit smaller but i might wait for this one instead, not to mention the price is also less expensive http://hlj.com/product/BAN957320

That's the impression i get from basara too. It feels the music is not just being forced at the other characters, but also being forced at the viewers too. Singing almost every single episode gets really irritating, almost a form of torcher I believe sheryl is a much more tolerable character and most of the time we hear her sing its at a concert and not in a cockpit. Also her songs are much better

I was never a michael jackson fan, and it is sad when ever there is a death. Tbh i hate the guy and i hate all the attention that followed him. Its like princess diana all over agian. over hyped and excess coverage.

Gundam Show Thread - MSG thru GQuuuuuuX
kung flu replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I just watched the 3rd episode of Igloo 2, its got to be the best out of the lot, its got everything from tanks gms, goufs, doms and the land base battle cruisers like big tray. The Guntanks kick ass and we get to see a jet stream attack by the doms too Seeing all the abscure vehicles from the orginal show and giving them a realistic appearance is really pleasing to the eyes, in fact this whole series has been a total mecha porn. I don't care much for the story but the visuals are brilliant. If they continue UC gundam this way i would be really happy and even happier if they expand from the other shows like Zeta Now if only i could find a english translaion of this episode- 3717 replies

But full humans are just as prone to become angry and violent as well. The Zentradi are human to me, otherwise global wouldn't have accepted their asylum in the tv show. They were found to be the same as us genetically, so give them a bit of culture and they will become more like earth humans. The zentradi do have culture in the form of warfare and that is hard to do away with, parents would pass on they're beliefs and attitudes on to their children, whos to say Guld may have had such influence from is parents. No one is born violent, people become violent due to their experience, circumstances and influences. About preseving the human race, if they were really different from us like klingons, then maybe cloning is required
-
Since zentradi are sort of "human" and since they have a greater population I don't see the need to make clones since we can also mate with zentradis and have many children with them. The only thing that really makes us different from them is that we have culture and when they adopted culture they became more like us.
