  1. Legend of the Galactic Heroes - Spartanians. Probably one of the most realistic space only figher designs I've seen. The Reich Valkyries from the series are also fairly realistic, but ugly as sin. Star Wars - B-Wings. I love asymmetrical designs, and this one is just fun. BTW, was the swiveling cockpit just for the toys (like Slave I), or do they actually do that in the movie?
  2. Streamline unedited? I guess maybe if you don't want to count re-writing the story... Is there a link for this film?
  3. Sweet. Glad it got snagged when Manga dropped it. Now we'll actually see a DVD release. Now if only someone would grab Honneamise, Dangaioh and Gunbuster...
  4. I don't think so. That costume doesn't leave a lot of room to hide that sort of thing...
  5. I'm sure this thread will get moved, but anyway... Basically the story is about this kid who finds a prototype transforming motorcycle and also discovers that he's really living in a giant spaceship, and not Tokyo. The government then goes after him for the bike and what he knows while they prepare to be invaded by an outside force. There's also a decent romantic sub-plot. Parts one and two are excellent, but three should be avoided like the plague. As for a release, ADV is putting them out in the US later this year.
  6. My reaction to the trailer was "oh no, not another Hollywood luddite flick."
  7. To be honest, this is the only reason I was remotely interested in these figures. I didn't care for the designs in the Shadowrun action figure game and the ZG action figure game was just lame looking. Unfortunately, the game element is rather lacking. As for the toys themselves, they aren't bad, but I prefer Stikfas myself, just for the greater customization options.
  8. Tenjou Tenge also happens to be the title for a supplement for the Tenra Banshou Zero game.
  9. To be fair, most of them were dead threads that had been resurected.
  10. The problem I have is that ADV's subs generally suck
  11. Only according to some schools of philosophy. Personally, I never bought into the idea.
  12. Urban Vision was the primary force behind getting it made. From my understanding, the original movie certainly was not popular enough in Japan to justify making the TV series for that market.
  13. I never cared for the original, so I haven't bothered with the TV series. From the negative reactions I've heard to it, I wonder how this bodes for anime produced specifically for the US.
  14. He works for ADV. He should be shot on general principles.
  15. ROFLMAO!!!! Oh wait. You were making a joke, right?
  16. I can send them to you. PM me with your e-mail address.
  17. Not necessarily short; Galactic Heroes ran for about 164 episodes as an OVA series. Also, OVAs tend to have bigger budgets than TV series, which translates into higher quality animation.
  18. Checked some resources and all I could find was episodes 1 through 4.
  19. I'm with Grahm. This is completely unnecessary. What can live action do that animation can't? What's more, with WHR, there's not even an original source to reinterpret because it started as an anime. If there was a novel or a manga before hand, I could at least halfway understand wanting to transition it to television from a different angle. It sounds to me like the f*cktards who run the Skiffy channel are creatively bankrupt.
  20. Legend of the Galactic Heroes
  21. Those black circles with the line running through (the only thing I could find labeled "vernier thruster")? I thought it's been said that those are thrusters. What are you saying they are?
  22. Original. The other one was licensed and released by ADV.
  23. You have the helm, Cap't Bob.
