  1. Jegg looks appealing when not colored like that parrot from Fruit Loops cereal Daimos looking ace as usual! And what's with Dancouga behind him? Just for display purposes? Showing size? VFTF1
  2. Eh - the Gundam comparrison is remote Besides - every robot "looks like a Gundam" to some extent. I didn't get a Gundam vibe from this guy when I first saw the picture - looks fairly unique VFTF1
  3. Looks good! What's the back story? VFTF1
  4. Oh - oops. If the question is just Macross then -I've been collecting for roughly three years I think it'll be... VFTF1
  5. My mom bought me G1 Ratchet in 1984. Been collecting since then VFTF1
  6. Yes - but the problem is not that Revy's head is too small for the Fraulein but rather that the Fraulein heads are too big for the Valkyrie However - even with Revy's head being generally good, size wise - there is still a special revolver joint necessary... And the only adequate doner is...Yotsuba! VFTF1
  7. Why Tohsaka Rhin of course By far the best of the Fraulein...line VFTF1
  8. Hm.. I'm looking at the picture of Rick and Lisa on the Gay Pride Parade Rick Hunter toy... What's with Rick's face? Is it the light? Did he just eat a lemmon or is Lisa smacking him? VFTF1
  9. I just hope that after Roy we go straight to Max and Milia VFTF1
  10. Holy shmit!!! That last Rick Hunter doll looks....looks... oh my gaaaawwdd!!! ahahaahahahahhahahahah:) :) That is just wonderful! Words cannot express.... and the zipper! VFTF1
  11. That would be awesome! VFTF1
  12. In that case be patient I'm still working on it VFTF1
  13. Nope. No anime here. Nothing to see. move along. VFTF1
  14. If you guys really want to see the front - you can just take Yotsuba, Revy, Tohsaka, Hikaru, and Rei and build the thing It's not that complex VFTF1
  15. Shinsei must have "less frame" - after all, I have Shinsei episode 1 and it somehow DOESN'T have the most IMPORTANT frame (Alto carrying Sheryl)... From episode 2 forward I only have Gettai. Besides I like the MKV format better. VFTF1
  16. You...really don't want to see any other angles But I promise I'll work on it VFTF1
  17. This is my contribution to the human race, in the interest of making Earth a better place for you and for me (que Stevie Wonder): To create this beauty, you need the following: 1. Yotsuba 2. Tohsaka Rin 3. Rei Ayanami 4. VF-1J Hikaru Ichijo 5. Revy VFTF1
  18. Ok...time to play guessing game!! The gimmick is that you can fold out the repair-robot-arm that was used in SFM TV episode 2? Or better yet that when you open the head the chair slids out? Or better still - press a button and the figure plays "Kyun Kyun! Kyun! Kyun!" On that note - I was actually JUST about to write how happy I was the Yamato stuff doesn't have gimmicks But I guess it depends on what we mean by gimmick? VFTF1
  19. I expect this 1/60 will not have any QC issues. VFTF1
  20. I sometimes wonder to myself why, instead of getting a Garland- I continue to shell out for "another" Valkyrie. This is certainly on my "to get list" VFTF1
  21. Breast Fighter? As in Beast Fighter? Ah...dag - only now did I realize that the BreastMasters from Victory could very well have been the "Best Masters" ... Anyways - looked at the pics provided by Mr. March. That chick is hot, that guy looks confused - although he has a facial expression that belongs in an anime for sure As to the fighter itself - strong Nora SV-51 vibe - and not only because of the color... in fact - it is almost something along the same lines of the VF-19 viz the YF-19... It's like a streamlined version of the SV-51 (taking the SV-51 as a kind of mat prototype)... Name wise - I actually also agree with Slayer- keep the Shao Pai Lon references going VFTF1
  22. Wow. That's absurdly funny I agree with you about how children shouldn't be lied to; especially in war movies. But apparently there's big demand for lying in the USA VFTF1
  23. Hm - judging by the look of those Space Helicopters - they'd be better of flying in space than in an earth atmosphere. There's no tail rotar - so the thing would, I gather, spin uncontrolably on the axis of its own main rotar? While on this subject- do recall the Fan Jet from Macross - although admitably it ended up in space by accident - but it did always surprise me that the thing had internal atmospheric and oxygen (although then again - correct me if I'm wrong but don't commercial airplanes have the same?) ... Anyways - someone with knowledge please speak - I'm curious VFTF1
  24. Hover Tanks are great. You dated an Ayn Rand cultist?! That's awesome! You should write an article or a book about it Personally I love Ayn Rand - well, at least I liked her Fountainhead (Atlas Shrugged put me to sleep), but beyond her one hit wonder of a book and some interesting appearances on Donahue, she was a tad flawed - albeit, largely because she cultivated a...er...wel cult If she told the cult-worshippers to go home and do something original - she would have probably come out better. Either that or she just should have embraced being a pop cultural diva - but she was too serious for that Oh - and Hover Tanks really rock, despite the open cockpit which kind of makes the "tank" part redundant...Anyways - the reason I find it interesting that you dated an "Ayn Rand is God" person is that... in this age of the internet such people should by all rights be extinct. I mean; information on the whole Branden/Rand falling out/affair is readily available, as is information on the big differences between the "official" Piekoff Objectivist Center and the NBI (Nathaniel Branden Institute - they use some of Rand's thought in their self-esteem psychology but shy away from the notion of advocating mass genocide of people who disagree with them:) )... So, wonder how those Hover Tanks transform? The point is - an "Ayn Rand is God" person would be really hard to find nowadays - not because Rand doesn't deserve respect, but because the nuances and flaws and various threads of Randianism are very well known - or at least easily accessable - and since I presume "Ayn Rand is God" people would do nothing except read about their idol - didn't your date EVER stumble on any of this other stuff that basically teaches us how to appreciate Ayn Rand without idolizing her? And uh... the one thing I didn't much like about Southern Cross was that other than those biroids and the hover tanks - I don't think they had much other Mecha - did they? VFTF1
