Fah! I've got a closet and storage unit full of unbuilt kits. The hobby of model building has a notorious reputation for turning into model kit collecting.

The last week or more I've been on a Marathon kit cleanup binge. It's been a joy to fondle the kit parts while cleaning up the parting lines.

If the Bandai Star Trek kits are to be any indication, prepainted VF-25's would be beautifull, but expensive models. I should be getting mine on Friday.

Maybe Thanatos the Greek name for Death. As the opposite of Messiah i my mind .

Cheaper to buy the Nichimo kits.

Ooops.

I'm sure the company was focused on the kit the last few weeks. Now that that's out they might be applying what they learned on the model to the toy.

There may not be such an unlucky model number.

I know if a big box is light UPS will charge "Dimensional Weight". That's the average weight of a box that size. So yeah, they could be charging for volume at some point.

Most of the stuff we use that isn't water based it bad for you. But yeah. At the very least have a fan sucking the fumes away from your workspace. The stuff is very expensive so I don't think anyone here is going to die. I think I'll try it out when I get the kit.

There is a solution for this problem. It's expensive though. Wesco autobody supply sells urethane automotive clear coats that are calylized paints. These top coats are nearly indestructible. I have a co-worker that uses it on his model cars to great satisfaction. They are very high gloss though and would need a dust coat of flat to take the glare off.

I've seen it done before. It's something you have to do on white parts to get people to see the detain in harsh lighting.

Macross as a game might actually be inevitible with Bandai behind a powerfull new show. As for backwards compatability, I'd suggest tracking down a 60GB model and swapping a new HDD unit into it before installing any games. It was scary how easy the drive swap was. Even with game info on the factory installed disk.

I think the confusion provides evidence to the idea that Bandai models are really toys.

You guys KNOW that there will be Wonderfest only fighter resin kits eventually. So don't fret it. Or learn to scratch build. (I know that's not easy with aircraft. John, you hip?)

I'm interested. I'm getting two. I'll be thankfull that I'm getting anything before the show is off the air.

Any cockpit detail will be pure conjecture. I would imagine that there would be very little in controlls. Not nearly as neat as a Valkyrie. I would trust John's take over anything I would have come up with any day.

I'd look for dust bunnies clogging the air intake at the front of the machine. I've notices that aggressive games make the fan go like crazy. And Blu-rays as well.
