  1. XB-70 Valkyrie. That is what we are saying.
  2. Dont you mean YF-22? YF-21/VF-22 looks alot more like the YF-21 than the YF-23 IMO The YF-21/VF-22 looks like the YF-21 because it IS the YF-21. I think you have your aircraft classifications mixed up. In Macross Plus it was 21/22. In real life it was 22/23. The M+ 21/22 was based on the real life YF-23. That's what I was trying to say.
  3. A friend of mine got a box from HLJ all banged up via SAL as well.
  4. The XB-70 info comes from Shoji Kawamori himself in various interviews and is confirmed in print in the Macross Plus: Movie Edition This is Animation book. The YF-21? was directly inspired by the YF-23 prototype.
  5. They look just like psychopaths. And they look just like everybody else.
  6. The resin Upgrade tub for the 1/32nd scale F/A 18 Hornet is so much better than the kit tub. And the kit parts are in-freaking-credible. Some of the tiny controlls and what-not in the resin parts are frighteningly delicate.
  7. Hasegawa did a great line of transforming models back in the mid eighties. The Operation Omega line. They could totally pull off a "PG" Valkyrie kit if they wanted to. But I figure they won't.
  8. Those components should be photoetched. Who makes the kits you building? Are they originals?
  9. I think you are confusing Evangellion's Evas with FSS's Mortar Headds. MH are completely mechanical and artificial. Some of the structures inside may look organic but they are not animals. Eva's are organisms with controll armor bolted onto them.
  10. Bring an extra pair of undies. You're gonna need em. It is one of the most impressive MH kits out there. The shoulder spikes are longer than my index finger.
  11. The problems are worse than simple wear and tear. The socket PC's are suseptible to splitting open. And you can figure out what can happen when that happens. I reall love the MM kits though. When they are large enough you can replace the kit PC's with Radio Controll joints. My Arkanna Siren has RC joints in it's hips. The ones I used have an adjustable tension socket so I was able to get a really tight joint for that big boy. And if you have the money I would recoment this kit. Since I can't afford it right now I figure someone here could get it and I could watch them put it together. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...9&category=1193
  12. Just a side note. MM stands for Mechanical Moving series, and SSS stands for Super Spirits Series. When all is said and done., you will inevitably have to glue the MM kits joints into a final pose. I resisted this for years and caved in after seen my expensive kits get damaged from flopping over all the time. I prefer the static pose kits myself.
  13. agreed. So was Julie Newmar from the TV show. Even Eartha Kitt was hotter.
  14. What is funny is the TV Stargate actors are now the proper ones for me. Watching the movie now is kinda wierd for me. And I agree the DS9 was my favorite ST series after the original.
  15. From this statement how the hell would you know that TNG wasn't any better than Voyager? That is just really wierd. It is all moot anyway. All the ST shows suck compared to Stargate:SG1 and Farscape.
  16. RX93 has some stuff up again. http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...&sort=3&rows=50 And I really prefer 1/100th scale. There are a few subjects that were only done in 1/144th and I don't have any of them.
  17. My favorite ST series is DS9. Even though the concept was ripped off from a proposal by JMS to Paramount to produce Babylon 5. I ended up liking both series for different reasons. But yeah, TNG episode are better when watched randomly than any of the Voyager ones. I can watch TNG over and like it. But Voyager makes me antsy and I end up doing something else. Maybe that's not a bad thing. <_
  18. The Hasegawa Battroid kits are pre colored.
  19. Many of us do recasting so I see no problem there.
  20. RX93 is Newtype Hobbies Ebay identity.
  21. I was around and watching the progress of the show from the first air date of TNG. I agree with most of what the article sites. But I must say the a lot of the episodes that are credited to Braga were real stinkers. And comparing Jolene's cold nipples to Nichele's long legs is a bit flawed too. And the fact that there was a huge rise in writing quality for season two is interesting since there was a writers strike at the time! They used a script that was written for ST phase II under the the Roddenberry regime in the late 70's. But I do agree that the B&B bashing is irritating. and Roddenberry was a tyrant.
  22. I got a Volks Twin Tower. Freaking huge!!! I got a closet full of recasts as well. Here are a few of my build ups; http://home.comcast.net/~cobywan/Templates/MH.htm Sorry to keep posting my link but I really, really, really, really like FSS.
  23. I you are interested in resin why limit yourself to Wave. They do great injection molded 1/144th scale kits. (This is where the Bandai comparison starts and ends.) But they have done only a few resin kits the last couple of years. I would suggest you get a Volks Resin kit. One of the newer fixed pose kits would be great. The new Black Knight comes right to mind. But if you are wanting a Wave 1/144th scale resin kit any of them would be great. Newtype hobbies routinely posts thier stock on Ebay. So I would suggest looking on Ebay 'till a kit in particular just grabs you. But you can't go wrong with a Knight of Gold or LED Mirage.
  24. Could "The Lord of the Rings" be filmed. Hell no! But they did it anyway. So anything is possible.
  25. I just wonder if we should keep the recast talk down untill we know for sure that we aren't going to get our kits. The last thing we want to have happen is Tanmen gets wind of this talk and cancel the order.
