  3. Cobywan 2 each
  4. Wave has the license and are doing great things with styrene in 1/144th scale. Corporations need to keep their dirty paws off of FSS. The kits done in resin really showcase some incredible craftsmen in the sculpting and pattern making fields. And Nagano HAS worked with Bandai not too long ago. He did the mecha designs for Brain Powered. I don't think that property went very far.
  5. I was thinking of Animag. Woops.
  6. Volks is releasing a new Injection molded Bang Doll and Black Knight. The new version of the Black Knight. I've been into FSS since I read that Mecha Press article in 89. I went nuts when I got a real job and I now have a giant pile of unbuild Mortar Headds and Fatima kits. I do have some built up though. http://home.comcast.net/~cobywan/Templates/MH.htm I've been picking at that new 1/32nd scale L.E.D. Mirage bust for the last few months. Here is someone else's buildup of the kit I'm talking about, http://www.hobbyfanatics.com/index.php?/to...irage-bust-wip/
  7. The ARMD from the TV series doesn't have to be 3D printed.
  8. I thought they were interesting in that I think they were supposed to be Neanderthal men. So even they came for "somewhere out there."
  9. It's a dark art man. I think bargain basement CGI would be better and cheaper and faster in the end. And I'm a big fan of practical miniature work by the way. I hate telling anyone to go CG.
  10. There's no purple. I assume you mean magenta. (Color snob here. )
  11. I know a guy who got a test pressing of the new kit. He says it's awesome. Of course he didn't give any pictures.
  12. I'm in for one.
  13. Why not make the TV version ARMD platforms. That would be totally Kosher.
  14. I think Eureka is a hoot. And the new Stargate is pretty good.
  15. You don't want your finger on the trigger until you are ready to fire.
  16. It doesn't matter what Bandai or Yamato sell. If you make a resin kit that's better it'll sell. No matter the price.
  17. I might consider $1200 for a super duper detailed resin kit of the TV series Macross that transforms. It could be done. Does anyone know the people at G-system?
  18. Here,here, bruthuh!
  19. WE PLAY WITH TOYS! Where have you been? Of course we're going to act like this. This is the Otaku equivalent of getting a sensual massage coupon and finding out that you still have to pay $1500 for the happy ending.
  20. I got to thinking what Captain America could do with a project at that price point.
  21. First off, the G System stuff is done in China with little or NO licensing. Secondly it's Tumbler not Rumbler. Obviously they screwed the proverbial pooch on this one.
  22. Damn! I was just doing great at clearing off my credit card. I joke. It'll be cleared off by the time the pattern is done. Whew!
  23. I expect MUCH more detail in a $2000 resin kit. Here's an example of what I think 2grand should buy; http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrisparsley/...in/photostream/ And this is a 6 foot tall model when put together.
  24. That is a neat technique. But it would look strange in larger scale. I would say that the effect is it makes a 3D model look like cell shading. Which, when I think about it, might look awesome on Anime subjects. Most aircraft model builders try to get metal on their models. This would surely be something to stand out from the crowd.
