  1. just to re-iterate
  2. would love a rear mudguard, but it might need a swivel point on the wheel otherwise it might be on the other side of the wheel once transformed. will need to look into it
  3. yes it is there... but if you look at the initial prototype figure that was shown a while ago, THAT is more how it should be. the current version just seems much more pronounced
  4. ahhh... the yamato days
  5. does anyone have any communication with the guys at Riobot or the designers?? maybe we can show them the forum and the issues we are having and see... never know, might work. Just randomly ranting and raving on a forum that none of the creators see doesnt do much
  6. if you look a little higher, i compared the first showing to the one they just released now. it looks almost as if they had a secondary visor covering the one that they just showed, or that somehow its been created inside out now
  7. awww... just read that the tyres are PVC, not rubber but they do spin
  8. is it just me or in comparison to the initial model that was shown, the visor is lighter and far more "busy" almost as if they turned it inside out. Could also be lighting... Original showing Latest showing Still no shoulder scope (but i guess they opted for the "thats all done in the helmet with a HUD" approach) Also, I dont think the steering turns at all, will limit some of the poses you can strike if looking to be accurate
  9. from the technical side... the armourments. From the toy side, the riders suit colour and head sculpt as far as i know
  10. Who Knows... maybe they will take this time and add the wrist mounted launcher's targeting computer... (one can hope)
  11. also, all the images we have seen so far of the Riobot Mospeada armour, seems to be of the prototype (it looks like it still has the 3D printed layering to it) and none of them seem to have rubber tyres, which is a bummer. I really like the fact that the toynami one has rubber tyres. I so wish there was a way to influence the design, like get them to add the targeting sight or so on.
  12. I made note of that on the previous page... but I found that shipping to me is still cheaper through BBTS, and they also still have pre-orders open
  13. the cheapest ones... 2 of them have only one shipping method.
  14. OK.. crunched a few numbers. ZAR (R) = South African rands Heres the breakdown with shipping costs to South Africa Nippon-Yasan ============ 17,980 JPY + 13,300 JPY (shipping) R1,947.95 + R1,461.22 ============ R3409,17 ZAR BBTS ====== $199.99 + $37.49 R2,453.72 + R459.973 ============ R2913,69 ZAR D4 toys ======= $166.50 + $79.00 R2,042.82 + R969.265 ================= R3012.08 ZAR
  15. I suppose I should also check the shipping price then
  16. uh, sorry for being a bit behind the curve... but what do you mean by this? I ran through the order and for me with shipping its going to come to $245 with shiping through fedex
  17. D4 toys has pre-orders still of the Sentinel Stig figure for 166.50 USD Worth ordering it? or should i wait for nippon-yasan?
  18. I think i am already signed up on nippon yasan for the email notification... will go double check. A friend of mine orders from them often and says that their service to South Africa is good, I don't know from personal experience as I have only ordered off HLJ myself (a Yamato VF-0S with a base stand) The BMW R nine T is a awesome, super modular bike... I dont own one though, I ride something that, to me anyway, looks more like the Cyclone... a 2008 Z1000, had her for around 10 years now, roughly 100 300km on the clock, one owner
  19. NO NO NO!!! I cant believe this! I was late coming to the Beagle/toynami party and could never find one at a decent price and now I'm late AGAIN!!! NOOOOOO! Pre orders all over seem to be closed and with that orders even. I Must get my hands on a Stig... it seems like I can get one from BBTS, but never ordered from them, how is their service? and shipping? bare in mind that im in South Africa (yes yes, ass end of the planet) or does anyone have a spare that they ordered that wouldn't mind helping a poor soul out. on another note, there are only 2 things that bug me about the "re-imagining" of the mospeada... 1. the fact that stig does not have his targeting computer, I'm pretty sure it would have been very easy to add it but then again that depends on how much space there is in the chest cavity, it they wanted it to not be a clip on as a extra loose piece 2. someone mentioned it earlier, the fact that there is a mud guard only on the front wheel. again, one could have easily been added for the rear as well and would have looked awesome and balanced. could have even been a full hugger type or a tacked on type like the BMW R nine T has, with maybe making it a bit bigger than that to match the one on the front
  20. thanx Kensei. You say wood glue... as in that white coldglue stuff? I am a little skeptical on ripping apart the arm, payed alot for it. If I go about opening the arm, should i just jam a screwdriver in the seam and twist? And what about gluing it back together, what would be good for that?
  21. thanx for giving me a reply! I heard around the place that locktight may also work, just gota keep jiggling the joint so it doesn't fuse solid, can anyone confirm that it works... and looks neat?
  22. Graham? no help? or anyone
  23. I got my VF-0S a couple of days back. AWSOME figure, solid and sturdy. I got no QC issues, had mine sent to me from HLJ, and I live all the way in South africa only prob I have is the biceps rotoation is VERY loose (u get sholder, the grey arm section, the white bicep, another grey section, then the elbow, and the forearm) there where the white section is. and the wrist is SUPER loose, so much so that I have a problem making the battroid hold the gunpod underneath the front as in the image any tips on how to tighting these swivels, with a small explination on how to go about doing it?
