  1. I liked the matchbox version that I bought back in '85 better...it was a much better value for the money, IMHO. -Kyp
  2. And that's why I already sent my deposit for this, I can't wait to get this badass Valkyrie in my hands and display it next to my VF-0S, 1/60 Hikaru VF-1A, and my soon-to-be-had mint MPC Lancer Alpha. I have a VERY good feeling about this one, and I hope they make all the variations possible as well! And I will be sending the remaining balance this week when I get paid again too. -Kyp
  3. So does this mean that Shin's version is going to come out then? -Kyp
  4. So...is this one really Shin's, or is it a cannon fodder one? I've tried to do a search, but haven't come up with anything. -Kyp
  5. Great to know!!! My VF-0S that I just got in yesterday was a floppy freaking mess...it's also my very first Valk. I was gonna keep it in fighter mode anyways, so I took my hot glue gun and placed some hot glue in 4 strategic places and now fighter mode is rock solid. Another good thing is that you can still take it apart and peel the glue off and it doesn't leave a single mark! (I know because I have done this before to other toys. ) -Kyp
  6. Hopefully they will have learned from other first releases and this thing won't be a floppy mess. Looking foward to the review! -Kyp
  7. Well, I sent off my 25% deposit on the YF-19...now to sit back and wait for it to be ready to ship. Please, oh PLEASE have everything tight like it should be and get it right the first time.... Yeah, I know, wish in one hand and $h!t in the other... And I think I'll keep mine dildo free kthnx. -Kyp
  8. OK, I got the VF-0S in today and of course, it's awesome, it just suffers from the "floppy" syndrome... I won't be transforming it because of this, so I was thinking about using some hot glue in some strategic locations to make it like it should be in fighter mode. I know that you can remove the glue and it doesn't melt the plastic or hurt anything. And because of this, it shouldn't hurt it's value any. What do you guys think? I think I will wait for some future VF-0's like the VF-0A that supposedly fixes these issues. Man, I just sent my 25% deposit for the YF-19, I hope I don't have to deal with these issues with this. By the way, nothing was bent or broken at all and the box that it came in was mint. -Kyp
  9. Do you still think this will come out before Christmas? -Kyp
  10. Well, I just sent an email to preorder the YF-19...I didn't want to wait for this. -Kyp
  11. Ahh...I see. 1/48 for VF-1's and 1/60 for things like the YF-19, YF-21, VF-0's, etc. Thanks for the info...this forum has allowed me to learn much in a short while, and I am still learning. -Kyp
  12. But since they have come out with the VF-0's and now the YF-19 (And of course the VF-21 will follow) does this mean they will be sticking to 1/60's or are they still going to make new 1/48's? I ask because I have already started with 1/60's.... -Kyp
  13. But isn't Yamato pretty much going with 1/60's now? -Kyp
  14. Ewwww....Lisa looks like a half assed sex change operation gone bad, lmao. -Kyp
  15. So the date is being pushed back? Not surprising, it's happened to many releases before (Not just Yamato, but others as well.) so this shouldn't be a surprise. I am thinking about getting the 1/72 first release of the YF-19 to tide me over as I just bought the 1/60 VF-1A Hikaru and the VF-0S so I don't have the money for this yet. Though I hear that the blue VF-19 is better... Maybe I should make a post in the Wanted forum... *Goes* -Kyp
  16. I've heard alot about the arms being loose, but since it will pretty much stay in fighter mode, it should be a non-issue for me. I wonder what improvements they might make on the second version of this? I know the arm joints will be improved, but what else does anyone speculate they will do besides that? -Kyp
  17. Whoo-Hoo!!! I just mailed the money order for the VF-0S and they should have it by no later than Monday (I mailed it today priority mail) and since they are also sending it priority mail, then I should have it by Wednesday. It's in Austin, TX and I am in Dothan, AL. so it should be 2 days both ways. I can't freaking wait!!! -Kyp
  18. Since there is the loose joint issue on these first edition OS's, I think I will display it in fighter mode and leave it be. -Kyp
  19. Yeah, I LOVE those Alpha's! I like the shadow version the best, with the Lancer version second, followed by Scott's then Rook's. -Kyp
  20. Well, I have changed my mind somewhat for now...I just ordered me a 1/60 VF-0S and since I plan on getting the VF-0A and the YF-19 later on anyways, it makes sense for me to stay with 1/60 for now... I still want to get the MPC Alpha's...those were my favorites for a long time till I saw the VF-0's. -Kyp
  21. I will probably just get the MPC Alpha's, since they look pretty good to me and they're pretty much the only option for me. Like I said, when I can, I will get the 1/60 VF-0S/0A and the VF-19 since they seem to be more like the 1/48's. -Kyp
  22. Well, assuming that I was able to send the first "I'll take it" PM to nismoflip for his 1/48 of the same Valkyrie, I will be able to decide for myself which one I like better. -Kyp
  23. No thanks, this will be my last 1/60 VF-1, period. The only other 1/60's will be VF-OA/OS and the VF-19 1/60. I will stick to 1/48 and the Robotech MPC's (I already made my mind up to get some of those.) from here on out. -Kyp
  24. Yeah, I also discovered that after I won and saw TISINC99's prices on them... Any better pics of what I won so I will know what to expect when I get it? -Kyp
  25. I see..I was afraid of as much. @ jenius: And yes, I know the terminology, I just prefer to use the Robotech terms. But if it bothers everyone for me to use them then Valkyrie, Gerwalk, and Battroid(sp?) it is. I saw that the VF-0A/OS 1/60's seem to have all the cool features of the 1/48's, so I guess I will have to go with them next. -Kyp
