  1. Because for a lot of us, this answers our prayers for a perfect transforming 1/60 scale Valk with all the 1/48 improvements and according to Graham is even better than the 1/48's in some areas. And also because we LIKE talking about it! -Kyp
  2. They've just announced the new 1/60 line which will have all the improvements of the 1/48 and then some. I'd wait for this new 1/60 line to come out because according to Graham, the 1/48 line is dead except for an occasional re release. That, and he said that Yamato decided that they want all their perfect transforming Macross toys to be 1/60 scale. And this new line is also made to include two-seater variants so if I were you, I'd wait till these come out. And no, there is NOTHING out there in 1/48 besides the VF-1. -Kyp
  3. I'll gladly be the beta tester for the first run! -Kyp
  4. Now all we need to know is when! -Kyp
  5. Babel Fish : "The price which becomes matter of concern is when you have aimed toward approximately 10000," I'd say you're right. -Kyp
  6. I thought the same thing, but decided to reply anyways just in case, lol. -Kyp
  7. They won't. They've made it pretty clear that they're consolidating their Macross perfect transforming toys into one scale : 1/60. Too bad they didn't do this a long time ago, but I'm glad to finally see them make everything in one scale. -Kyp
  8. From my sig : "non-splitting foot thrusters and propotionally larger hands than the 1/48" So I'd be willing to bet that it will have the round thruster exhaust. The panel type would be great. -Kyp
  9. And the weeping and gnashing of teeth hath begun... All kidding aside, it really does blow goats for those who've spent so much money collecting the old 1/60 line. -Kyp
  10. I thought so.... Man, I can't stop looking at those awesome pics....*drool* -Kyp
  11. Let's see : And the arms sit much higher in fighter mode so it's much truer to the line art, and it's going to come in variations that the 1/48's never will like the VF-1D, VT, and VE. Sounds like you're going to be buying these, lol. -Kyp
  12. @ aaajin : I don't think they're going to deviate from the 1/60 line anytime soon. -Kyp
  13. It looks like from the pics that they may plan on releasing this without the fast packs first as they didn't show any in the pictures. The price will be the make or break for them if they're not going to include them the first time around. -Kyp
  14. Hmm....I guess it was those who had already gotten all the 1/60's that didn't want Yamato to go back and re-do the 1/60 line. Anyways, I think this is great because I like keeping stuff in the same scale as much as possible. Being able to pose these next to the YF-19/21, the VF-11, the VF-0's and SV-51's will be awesome! I would also like to see a TV Max and Kakizaki VF-1A thrown in the mix this time around, there's no reason that they can't do that this time. In fact, I bet we'll see all the color schemes come out with this line as it seems that Yamato wants this to be the definitive line for the VF-1's. The thing we all need to know now is, how much $$$ and when? -Kyp
  15. Graham, can you tell us when these are coming out and for how much? -Kyp
  16. He said it will transform like the 1/60 VF-0's, so I assume the heatshield will be the same and be hidden. And hahaha I was right, there will be a VT, VE, and the VF-1D! And if these puppies are going to go for around $100 each, I will be buying them all! It's also really funny because I remember when I first came here and suggesting that Yamato make the 1/60's with the improvements of the 1/48's...and having most of the members saying no, because we've invested our money in the first 1/60's. After seeing the fighter mode, I think it looks great and the battroid is killer. Commence the sucking of the wallet.....now. -Kyp
  17. I don't see him online? -Kyp
  18. I just noticed that it looks like the nose cone is removable like on the 1/48's. Which means that it may very well have all the gimmicks of the 1/48 line...I'm in love lust! -Kyp
  19. I'd be willing to be you'll see more than a few 1/48's going for less than before. Especially if the 1/60 line has all the gimmicks of the 1/48 and keeps the rear engine fans one piece and not split down the middle when spreading the feet in Battroid and Gerwalk mode. -Kyp
  20. I'm willing to bet that I am. But, I'm a fighter mode whore, so it won't stop me one way or the other! -Kyp
  21. Dude, if they're revamping the 1/60 line to be like the 1/48's, I'd be willing to bet you'll see those variants. After all, they made them in 1/60 scale once already, why not again for the new 1/60 line? -Kyp
  22. I think the fighter mode looks like it's going to look just as good as the 1/48's. 1/60 scale FTMFW!!!!!1111shift+1 OK Graham, now that the cat's out of the bag, it's time to spill it! I forsee the value of the current VF-1 1/60's going down the toilet with a quickness! -Kyp
  23. The fighter mode still looks like crap, and the arms are too Goddamned close together as well. Looks like I'm not going to be selling my Toynami Legioss anytime soon. :-\ -Kyp
  24. I think the pilot needs an exploding eyeballs gimmick to make it complete. -Kyp
