  1. I gotta say, whomever at Yamato was responsible for designing this Valk must have loved the 21, this looks to me like the best looking overall Valk Yamato has done yet. -Kyp
  2. Yep, definitely gonna pick this up the minute it comes out. -Kyp
  3. Remember, that's still the hand painted pre-production sample, I'm sure they will use the round screw hole covers that they use on all Yamato Valks. -Kyp
  4. I'm not, I'm getting whatever comes out first! -Kyp
  5. Even though I'm not getting this, a review of this thing should still make for an interesting read. If those knee caps do retract like on the toynami, I might break down and get a blue set later on. Right now, paying for my YF-21 pre-order takes top priority for me. -Kyp
  6. I'm pretty sure that since these are the same size as the old 1/60 line, that Yamato will use the same boxes that they did with the first 1/60 VF-1 line. The only difference we'll see is new box art. That's one of the reasons why I'm so happy about them redoing the 1/60 VF-1 line. Space is at a mega premium at my place, so the smaller, the better. -Kyp
  7. Remember, these pics are of the hand painted pre-production sample, NOT the final product. We don't know that the holes won't close up when not in use like the 1/48's yet. -Kyp
  8. One reason is because the 1/48's weren't engineered for the two seat variants. Yes, they can be modified with fan made kits, but I'm guessing it would've cost Yamato more money than they wanted to invest in the 1/48 line. Probably because they knew that they were going to go with 1/60 scale for everything later on down the road. (Especially with the success of the Mac 0 and Mac + valks in 1/60 scale.) They took the lessons learned from the 1/48's (And even the VF-0's because the nose uses the VF-0's transformation) and are applying them to the new 1/60 line. Yeah, some features were dropped, the nose cone not being removable and no longer having the movable wing flaps, but I can live without those. -Kyp
  9. I love the way it looks in ALL modes. I don't see any one mode looking better than the other. In fact, I think it looks better overall than the 1/48's...and this is coming from someone who owned a 1/48. And I also think that the fighter mode of this new 1/60 looks just as good and even a little bit better than the 1/48 due to the arms no longer hanging lower than the nacelles. I'm getting every version that comes out. -Kyp
  10. I think it was they incorporated the fixes halfway though the production, if I remember right. Basically, yes that's the way it is. If you want to be 100% confident that you're getting a fixed VF-0, then the second edition VF-0S is your only option at this point, sorry. -Kyp
  11. If you want a Dark Legioss, your only bet right now is either a Toynami MPC Sue Graham Shadow Fighter or the Toynami Shadow Fighters from the Shadow Chronicles movie. But if you're wanting the original Dark Legioss from the original Mospeada series, the MPC Sue Graham is the only way to go because they changed the design and coloring of the Shadow Fighter for the Shadow Chronicles movie. It's now marked like the Blue and Green Legioss (Only with dark colors and the white accents) and has their style intakes too. -Kyp
  12. Yeah, that's right, the Shin VF-0A was fixed about half way through production...I forgot about that. So if you're wanting to be 100% safe and sure, then you're gonna have to wait for a second release Shin...and who knows when that will be. Since Shin hasn't been offered as just the Valk yet, if you see one, then it will definitely have the fixes, you'll just have to get the Ghost seperate. -Kyp
  13. FYI I ordered from Hoho Toys on Ebay and they sent me a VF-0S and Ghost packaged seperately. But, my VF-0S is the second edition because it has the locking feet. So basically, the second edition VF-0S is out in the single box now. But there's nothing different about the box to tell you that it's the second edition. The only way to be sure is to take it out of the box and see if the feet lock in the out position for Battroid/Gerwalk. So the safest thing to do is to try and get the VF-0S/0A Ghost giftset.... -Kyp
  14. It appears that the knee caps don't slide in closer to the body in fighter mode like the Toynami MPC Alpha's do. And that's a damned shame, because it's something that isn't hard to incorporate into the design. -Kyp
  15. I know...we now know that the arms space out properly in fighter mode, but if those knee caps stick out like that for real, then CM's designer needs to be beheaded and have his head on a pole in front of CM's headquarters as a warning to their other designers. -Kyp
  16. I know what you're talking about and this is exactly what I am hoping for. Something that will do the TOS Enterprise justice and at the same time make it a more logical predecessor to the refit Enterprise. The lower deck section below the bridge already looks very much like that of the refit. Take that pic and compare it to a similar view from TMP of the refit Enterpise, and they match up really well. -Kyp
  17. I think it's gonna look good. It has the font used on the refit Enterprise and it looks like the lower decks under the bridge were refit Enterprise inspired as well. -Kyp
  18. I totally understand man, that's good of you to keep your word. -Kyp
  19. Yeah but LOS charges around $20 for shipping in the U.S. making it around $232 shipped. Where Valkyrie-Exchange.com is only $9-13 shipped in the U.S. making for a max total of $208 shipped in the U.S.. Hey, we pay enough for these as is, I need the extra $20+ that I'm saving to put towards the new 1/60 VF-1S Roy that's coming out soon after! -kYP
  20. Too bad you didn't go with Valkyrie-Exchange.com, $195 w/o shipping ($9-13 shipped in the U.S.) > $212 w/o shipping.
  21. You might also want to cross out #8 as well with the coming of the new VF-1 1/60 line that's been engineered for two seaters. -Kyp
  22. Ivanov V2 is the one I'm waiting on too man...my Roy 0S is lonely here... :-\ -Kyp
  23. If you're referring to the new Aoshima series, as far as I know they aren't. But Toynami is coming out with new Shadow Alphas based on the Robotech : The Shadow Chronicles movie. -Kyp
