  1. VF-25 Skull Focker -Kyp
  2. Well then, if nothing else, it's the first Yamato Valk with that feature one way or the other, lol. Goddamn, I'm soooo glad I'm getting one of these. I just hope that someone will cast clear canopies for a quasi VF-22 conversion. I would buy one for mine in a second. -Kyp
  3. Man, I'm just happy that I'm getting one of these! Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first Valk to have it's rear engines not be apart of the feet in Battroid mode? -Kyp
  4. I would have sworn that I've read the same exact thing about the LV1's weathering. And misterryno, they might indeed come out with a weathered 1/60 one day, I was just making a point that I personally wouldn't spend that much money just to have that particular 1/48. -Kyp
  5. As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather just buy the 1/60 version when it comes out and have it "weathered" by one of the customizers here if I really wanted something like this. Even if I had the money to blow, I still wouldn't pay $300-500 for that. There's far too many other cool Macross Valks coming our way that I'd rather spend the money on. -Kyp
  6. QFT. That's exactly how I feel, I don't care who makes it, or even if they spend their breaks frolicking through the fields buck naked with hamsters strapped to their thighs while screaming out the band names of mayonnaise. As long as the 1/60 VF-25 rocks, I could care less who makes the damned thing. -Kyp
  7. ...around telling everyone how small things are....in Eugimon's Omega Pants™ -Kyp
  8. Ah, it's so good to see the whole "in Eugimon's Omega Pants™" running joke that I started way back in the original topic is still on going.... -Kyp
  9. I'm assuming the last part means that the transformation isn't overly complicated and has been made as simple as possible. What I'm really wanting to know is this : Is the finish Gloss (Like the pics seem to suggest), Semi-Gloss, or Flat? Can you at least say that much about it? -Kyp
  10. ^ That's freakin great... -Kyp
  11. Pics and/or videos or it didn't happen, lol. -Kyp
  12. ^Q.F.T. I hope he's gonna at least tell us all about it when he's able to. And I'm hoping it's a production sample picked out at random. Otherwise, it's not going to tell us what to expect when we get ours. -Kyp
  13. Yes, but with the black stripes though. -Kyp
  14. As much as I like the finish on the YF-21, I'd still like to know what made Yamato decide to not go with a matte finish like all the other Valks? Maybe they tried making it matte and decided that the gloss looked better? -Kyp
  15. Yeah, I have to admit that the YF-21 is more line art accurate than the 19, there's no question about that. -Kyp
  16. http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?act=...st&id=50147 In the pic of the weathered 1/48 above, it doesn't look like Roy is really anymore crammed up front than in the 1/60 to me. It's just the way the overall cockpit is designed in the 1/60, but he's really not that much closer, but I can see why it appears that way. -Kyp
  17. I don't want to start a pissing contest in this thread, but looking at my YF-19 sitting here on my computer desk, I'm afraid that I'm going to have to disagree with you there. The 1/60 YF-19 is a gorgeous bird in fighter mode and I don't think Yamato could have made this anymore anime accurate without making the overall design too fragile. I don't think that the YF-21 looks any better than the YF-19 in fighter mode, however, I feel the same way about the YF-19. I don't think that either one looks better than the other where fighter mode is concerned. Now that, I can agree with you on. The YF-21 turned out better than even than I was hoping, I just hope that this isn't gonna be riddled with design flaws leading to a lack of durability. And I'm really hoping that this one will be QC issue-free as well. -Kyp
  18. Don't lie, you know you're gonna get the Roy when it comes out...[/Jedi mind-trick] -Kyp
  19. Welcome to the party, pal! [/Die Hard] Graham already said that he wasn't hinting at Bandai subcontracting Yamato, he was just saying that it was odd that they decided to go with 1/60. Graham also said that based on the sculpts being in the very rough early stages means that we won't be seeing these for a long while. So I'd say we probably won't even get to preorder these until very late this year if at all. -Kyp
  20. ^Case in point. I was going to buy them no matter what scale they were in (1/72-1/48), but them being in the same scale as the rest of my Yamatos makes them even more desirable to have. -Kyp
  21. Or they could have decided to help their potential sales by making them in the same scale as the Yamato's. -Kyp
  22. It would certainly explain them being 1/60 scale, now wouldn't it? -Kyp
